08/02/2026: We were at La Perla del Tirreno and had a truly excellent experience. Everything was delicious, from the freshest seafood dishes to the meticulous presentation. I truly appreciated the kindness of the owner and the maître d', who were always attentive and helpful.
A major plus: the owner immediately took steps to accommodate my husband, who has a fish allergy, by preparing a truly excellent slice of meat. Furthermore, the restaurant is well-equipped to accommodate celiacs, with great attention to detail and professionalism.
Fresh seafood, a welcoming atmosphere, and impeccable service, all overlooking the sea.
We'll definitely be back.
21/09/2025: The quality of the fish is excellent. The service is professional, and the location is beautiful. A good selection of dishes, 4/5 of each type, without those endlessly long tourist menus. Prices are in line with seaside seafood restaurants. Highly recommended... And then, in mid-September, with the beach half-empty and the sea in front... peace of mind.

25/01/2026: I usually never open pizzas before getting home, today I did it as soon as I ordered, I opened the first one and maybe they forgot the toppings, really small and not very topped, when I got home I tried them they were really awful like a hard shoe sole, not risen on mine I had asked for the addition of a little spicy oil, but maybe the pizza chef wanted to joke and put the whole jar in really inedible I don't think I will ever recommend this pizzeria, I used to come here often when I was little but now it's really awful
24/01/2026: I always enjoy returning to Il Corsaro restaurant in Scalea. The pizzas are exceptional, and the cuisine offers excellent first and second courses. The owner, Gianluca, and his wife are cheerful and very friendly, creating a relaxed, family atmosphere. The ideal place for a quiet evening with good food. Highly recommended!

16/03/2026: I don't think I've ever had such a bad experience at a restaurant in my life. We arrived at 1:30 PM (with a reservation), and they sat us at a table while it still hadn't been set, but that wasn't a problem. We ordered mussels and a fried fish appetizer, which arrived about half an hour later (at 2:00 PM). The mussels were dirty; they hadn't been cleaned properly; some were cadaverous white. A peppery mussel platter arrived with a fork, so we asked for a spoon to serve it, only to be told they only had forks because the spoons were in the dishwasher. Now comes the best part: the first courses arrived at 3:35 PM: spaghetti with clams, which was actually spaghetti aglio e olio with 7 clams and extremely salty, and the shrimp packets were disgusting. To top it off, we even felt sick the next day. An excellent restaurant, congratulations. Not to mention the prices, 30 euros for a plate of pasta and 25 euros for the house wine, which, of course, I'm happy to pay if the quality is good, but that's not the case here.

04/05/2025: Zeker één van de beste restaurants in Scalea. Gelegen op een sfeervol pleintje in het oude centrum. Beperkte menukaart maar meestal staat dit borg voor verse en kwaliteitsvolle producten én dat bleek ook zo te zijn. Zeer vriendelijke bediening. Een topervaring.

2 paccheri all astice 70€ ove in questi non c era nessun connubio.
Non è una questione economica ma solamente pura mancanza di combinazione culinaria/soporifera.
Non so se tornerò x dare un ulteriore chance.

Lo consiglio davvero
24/03/2025: Dopo la fallimentare gestione dello scorso anno, ho saputo che la pizzeria veniva gestita da altre persone. E' il mese di marzo e pensavo che ancora non fosse in funzione. Invece, nel passare ho notato le luci accese e sono entrato per prendere 2 pizze da asporto, le solite prese nel mio precedente post con la vecchia gestione. Le pizze si sono rivelate molto buone con cornicione non eccessivamente alto e molto ricche. L'anno scorso le 2 pizze le ho pagate 17 euro, quest'anno 14. Quindi direi ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo. Ovviamente torneremo.
