27/04/2025: Bel locale nel centro di Matera, cibo locale rivisto da cuoco molto competente anche se un po’ alti i prezzi ma la qualità è alta. Però non è pensabile di mangiare in locale di questo livello solo sul tavolo senza una tovaglia di stoffa e nemmeno una tovaglietta di carta. Questo è fortemente richiesto, per cui do solo 4 di punteggio !

We trusted the good reviews and we fully confirm the quality, kindness and availability in giving information on the local raw materials and on the singer Mango. I recommend it, you can eat very well and there is a choice of wine that you can pair with the land and sea menu.

What made the experience even better was the friendly lady at the counter, who spoke great English and made us feel truly welcome. A hidden gem in the mountains!

29/04/2025: Excellent pizza (both the classic Neapolitan and the one by the meter), kind and attentive staff. The fried foods are good. Fresh, non-frozen meat hamburger sandwich. Absolutely worth trying if you visit Castelmezzano

09/06/2025: Abbiamo cenato in questo ristorante perché consigliato dal nostro B&B, il personale è stato gentilissimo ed il locale è carino con terrazza vista mare, peccato per il pesce fritto, l antipasto è stato buono ma il fritto di calamari e di acciughe sembrava bollito, molto mollo non croccante. È veramente stato deludente. Per il resto ci siamo trovati bene.

21/05/2025: A beautiful discovery in Sant'Arcangelo – finally a place I'll happily return to every day I've been having lunch and dinner at this restaurant regularly for two months and I can say with certainty that it was a pleasant discovery. The place is new, well-kept, with comfortable tables even at the entrance – ideal for those who, like me, appreciate being able to go out for a smoke without going too far. Parking right in front is almost always available, a plus not to be underestimated. The menu is surprising: varied but not dispersive, with balanced and well-thought-out land and sea options. The quality of the fish is truly remarkable, which is not at all a given in the area. I also tried the pizza, which is not Neapolitan but more Roman-style: thin, crispy, tasty – perfect for a change every now and then. And this is coming from someone who comes from Naples! The portions are very generous, well above average, and the prices are decidedly fair compared to the quality of the dishes served. An excellent quality-price ratio that makes you want to return often. Among my favorite dishes, the grilled fish stands out, always fresh and well cooked, and the appetizer "al solito posto", which is truly a small visual and flavorful masterpiece. The selection of desserts and seasonal fruit is also well-curated and abundant. But the real "strong point" of this place is the staff. A completely family management that transmits warmth and hospitality. Lucia, always kind and helpful, is a perfect hostess. In the kitchen, chef Decimo is a fast, creative and always up to the task professional. In the dining room, Mattia and Noemi complete the experience with their smile and kindness. For someone like me who travels often, finding a place where you can feel at home every day is a gift. Congratulations to all the staff, and keep it up!

09/04/2025: Con i miei amici gastronomi, abbiamo scelto la Locanda dell’Abate a Montescaglioso per un pranzo fuori porta. Siamo stati accolti con grande cordialità, e lo chef e titolare, il signor Giuseppe, ci ha guidati nella scelta dei vini per accompagnare l’esperienza. L’antipasto di mare ci ha conquistati con il tentacolo di polpo arrosto e le seppie cotte nel mezzo limone, sprigionando profumi delicati e un perfetto equilibrio tra tenerezza e acidità. Il legame con il territorio si è fatto sentire con la cipolla in agro. I ravioli di pesce, avvolti in una salsa di pomodoro leggermente acidula, hanno offerto un contrasto raffinato, mentre i gamberoni in crosta sono stati semplicemente eccellenti. L’atmosfera raccolta, grazie ai pochi tavoli in sala, ha reso la conversazione piacevole e conviviale. Concludiamo questa esperienza domenicale con un plauso allo chef Giuseppe per l’ottima organizzazione e la qualità delle portate. Torneremo presto!

02/06/2025: Siamo stati per cena con la famiglia. Abbiamo preso la pizza e degli antipasti... Ci siamo sentiti coccolati, il servizio e l'attenzione è stato molto familiare. A volte non è la location, molte volte sono le persone che fanno la differenza. Se ci ritroveremo qui, sarà una nostra tappa.

29/05/2025: I had dinner at Zelmira, family welcome, I had cavatelli with cicerchia puree, delicious and creamy, an appetizer of octopus tentacles that melted in the mouth, on a very good and delicately flavored zucchini cream soup, (a few more tentacles would have been the (Top), my wife instead opted for spaghetti with yellow dates and pink prawns, a decidedly very successful dish With a very captivating balance of flavors, (very good chef), bottled red wine from a Montalbano winery, 26.00 euros, very good, lastly, a sliced ​​Angus steak, also very good and seasoned with a lemon oil that enhanced the flavor, making it light and digestible. The girl who served us, despite being very young, demonstrated competence and excellent knowledge of the dishes, helping us in the choice. Very good. Honest bill, well done.

02/05/2025: Struttura un po' datata. Personale accogliente. Menù abbastanza soddisfacente. Materia prima abbastanza buona. Buoni gli antipasti e la fritturina di pesce. Per i primi un NI: è difficile saper cucinare un primo piatto di pesce senza troppi fronzoli, esaltando i sapori dei molluschi senza mortificarli con altro. Prezzi nella norma.

23/04/2025: Ormai da anni è uno dei nostri ristoranti preferiti! Scoperto per caso e diventata tappa fissa di ogni estate! Ogni volta che siamo stati a mangiare in questo ristorante è stata un’esperienza sensoriale unica, avendoci fatto tappa più volte abbiamo avuto modo di provare quasi tutto il menù, tanto da essere indecisi su cosa ordinare! Piatti preparati con maestria, materie prime di ottima qualità sapute abbinare elegantemente! Complimenti a tutta la squadra che lavora in cucina! Personale di sala sempre super gentile e pronto ad accogliere le richieste di tutti! Luogo che consiglio vivamente a chi ama mangiare bene!
