16/03/2025: ... We were passing through Maratea, we noticed this restaurant with a beautiful terrace and breathtaking views and we decided to have lunch here... Recommended by the owner we had paccheri cacio e pepe with raw prawns, after almost 40 minutes of waiting the dish arrived overcooked and cold, it was inedible, so we gave up the second course for the departure but it was also worth it because two first courses with a high price which then allowed the paccheri to be counted on the plate... strongly not recommended

13/03/2025: Beautiful place with a view of the port of Maratea. We trusted the staff's advice and ate divinely. Exquisite octopus, delicious cod and ravioli (super recommended) to die for! The owner proved to be knowledgeable and very friendly. Super recommended place.

18/03/2025: Best meal of our Italian trip. We arrived in Matera early evening on a Wednesday in March, a day when many restaurants are closed. Osteria San Francesco is a small family-run place, with a calm, modern, relaxing vibe. Excellent local dishes, which you can watch the chef prepare. We were the only guests in the restaurant that night. Lovely service, excellent value. I'd love to go back!

I am usually not adventurous at all when choosing food but as we are visiting friends who live in this town and they arranged a private meal with Chef Pepe I said I would try everything To say I was amazed at the flavour and deliciousness of each dish is an understatement Each plate of food was amazing. Complex flavours and textures Simply fabulous Our server was attentive and a great laugh as she chatted with us Chef Pepe came to our table several times to check on us We finished with a standing ovation for such a wonderful meal Note: I had some of the ravioli before the photo was taken. 20/03/2025: We went with a group of friends, spectacular location and very clean environment. The seafood dishes are simply exquisite, I recommend trying this restaurant and you certainly won't regret it!

14/10/2024: Excellent cuisine, fresh and well-made fish. Courteous staff and panoramic view. Prices are adequate for what you eat, perhaps the desserts cost more than I would have expected but it's still worth it. The only downside is the service which is slightly slow but we will definitely return for the quality we found

23/02/2025: Palazzo Gala è ubicato in locali molto accoglienti.Ci hanno riservato un tavolo in ambiente riservato.Siamo stati ben consigliati dal personale gentile e disponibile.Buoni gli antipasti a base di pesce.Pesce in collina? Certo e anche di buona qualità.La cantina dei vini è molto assortita con etichette di elevata qualità.Una esperienza positiva che merita un bis.

01/02/2025: Meravigliosa scoperta! Location molto curata ed accogliente, servizio perfetto, chef superlativa!! Abbiamo pranzato benissimo e concluso in bellezza con dolci squisiti, caffè ed amaro delizioso. Sicuramente da rivisitare per gustare il restante menu
