02/06/2026: Fresh fish and ever-changing ideas for pairing it with different dishes, depending on whether you're talking raw, hot, or cold. Specifically, we sampled complete appetizers with oysters and noteworthy raw fish, smoked spaghetti with Normandy butter, anchovy sauce and bottarga, and to finish, a crispy, dry fried fish. The Trebbiano wine from an Abruzzo winery was paired with the dish. The price was absolutely competitive and in line with what we tasted.

26/07/2026: We had lunch at this seaside restaurant during an outing with friends. The restaurant has a ship-themed design, as the name suggests, with slightly dated furnishings and a terrace overlooking the sea. It must be said, however, that the view suffers due to its proximity to the surrounding residential buildings. As for the cuisine, the quality of the fish is undeniably good and fresh. However, the presentation of some dishes and the pairings didn't quite meet our personal tastes: one example above all—and this is purely a matter of personal taste—the oysters served hot with a sauce that resembled the flavor of lemon scallops, completely covering the oyster's flavor. Added to this, the service was decidedly slow throughout the lunch. A positive note goes to the chef (who I assume is also the owner, managing the cash register), who proved to be friendly and very distinguished. The final bill was fair and appropriate for the price. Overall, a facility with potential, although the experience has been mixed.

02/05/2026: We chose this restaurant by chance a few months ago, since we're not from the area, but we made an excellent choice. Every time we come to Rome, we come for lunch or dinner. A quiet, elegant place, with very professional staff who pay attention to the little details. Thanks, see you next time.

20/02/2026: Yesterday we had two seafood risottos with baby octopus, clams, and shrimp. They were out of this world, believe me, I could have eaten a kilo of them. They were so good. The fried fish was well-cooked, and the sea bass with potatoes was delicious. But the risotto was mind-blowing. The owner was too serious, so let's smile, my goodness.

23/07/2026: A truly beautiful evening at Barone Rosso! We were warmly welcomed by Christian and his wonderful partner, two wonderful people who make you feel right at home. We ate wonderfully: fresh oysters, a rich seafood pasta, ravioli with scampi, a generous and high-quality grilled fish, and even a delicious dessert. Carefully prepared dishes, generous portions, and truly excellent ingredients. But beyond the food, what makes this place special is the family atmosphere and the attention Christian and his partner give to their customers. When there's passion, kindness, and genuine people behind a restaurant, it shows in every detail. Congratulations, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back very soon! ❤️ I recommend Barone Rosso to everyone!!!
