14/04/2026: This very characteristic restaurant is located in the center of Deruta. It has outdoor seating and several indoor rooms. The tables and dishes are from the Domiziani company, very distinctive and colorful. The "bucco" is high-quality, and the carbonara with truffles is worth it. Fast and competent service. The prices are average.

04/05/2026: Il Chicco di Grano was a discovery that won us over from the first moment. The young, dynamic, and always smiling staff have that rare ability to make you feel right at home. From the chef to the maître d', to the entire dining room team: true passion, contagious enthusiasm, and a special care in explaining each dish. The menu elegantly ranges from local specialties to seafood dishes, all carefully crafted and impeccably presented. Each course was a small experience, one that lets you savor the moment. During our three-day Umbrian motorcycle trip, we returned twice... and I think that says it all. If you're passing through Deruta, treat yourself to this.

02/06/2026: The prices are those of haute cuisine, but the culinary experience and transparency aren't quite up to par. I have to confirm what other users have already reported: the price-to-value ratio is unbalanced. I stumbled upon this restaurant by chance during a stopover, and the experience was disappointing on several levels. 1. Analysis of Dishes and Costs ​Tagliata al Tartufo (€28.50): As you can see in the photo, the portion is small; the meat has been sliced ​​and arranged on the plate to take up space, but there's little substance. Furthermore, the truffle is present in such a small quantity as to be imperceptible. ​Selezione di Norcineria (€39.00 for two people): For €19.50 per portion, we were served a few slices of cured meats that appeared ordinary, with a menu that conveyed no distinction between the raw materials. Small Beef Fillet (€23.00): A very small portion with extremely basic plating. Transparency and Management The most critical aspect, however, concerns management. Upon arrival, we were informed that the POS terminal was out of order. When paying at the register, for a total of €141.50, we were only given a preliminary bill, which, as we later realized, stated "collect the receipt at the register." Needless to say, we have no trace of the commercial document. Note to the owner: I've read that you often respond to criticism by accusing customers of being "keyboard warriors" or of not understanding quality. I can reassure you: I regularly frequent Michelin-starred restaurants (most recently Osteria Francescana) and am happy to pay for excellence. However, excellence requires substance, technique, and, above all, transparency, both fiscal and otherwise. If you choose fine dining prices, you have to offer commensurate service. Here, I found meager portions, limited culinary concepts, and questionable payment management.
21/03/2026: Nice and welcoming, excellent food. I highly recommend the gnocchi with gorgonzola and truffle... truly delicious. The owner is very kind. We'll be back to try other specialties. ☺️
