14/04/2026: Excellent restaurant with delicious pizza (including gluten-free!) located in Castel San Gimignano, centrally located and easily accessible, especially if you're traveling. Excellent service and very friendly and polite waiters. A bonus is the wide selection of gluten-free dishes and drinks, which are not always easy to find.

20/05/2026: Everything was delicious, with vegetarian and vegan options. The dishes were carefully prepared and very tasty. The atmosphere was very pleasant.
15/05/2026: Excellent experience. We had some very good, well-cooked pici di canina. The ribollita was well-made and flavorful. The cod with a red onion base was well-done. Finally, the annas deserved five stars for its beautiful presentation alone (obviously, it was very good as well as beautiful). The service was friendly, just the right amount without being too intrusive. Worth repeating.

18/05/2026: Wow, really enjoyed our dinner at Il Frantoio a few days ago. Well priced, excited dishes and perfect service. Worth being noticed in the Michelin guide.
07/05/2026: Amazing dining experience in Colle. From the very first greeting, the menu and super extensive wine list walkthrough - we felt welcome. We chose from the a la carte menu, with chicken liver pate and ox tongue as appetizers (the paté is amazing!), then moved to smoked spaghetti, fava bean risotto with smoked trout and then pork loin. There wasn’t a single dish that was short of amazing. The wine list was a bit intimidating with bottles ranging from 25 to 900 EUR but the lovely guy who welcomed us also helped with the wine choice- and it was great. Warmly recommended!

02/06/2026: A beautiful place where we can eat pizza, fish, and meat. It's suitable for all tastes. We dined on the terrace veranda, which is very welcoming.
Fast and impeccable service, attentive and friendly staff.
We had very good gluten-free pizzas, with a soft dough, including the crust. I personally prefer a thin pizza, but it's still good. Excellent gluten-free draft beer.
The restaurant is located on the first floor but accessible to all with an elevator. Dogs are welcome, and there's plenty of parking.
Congratulations! Next time I want to try the fish because the aroma was amazing.

05/10/2025: A nice restaurant, with kind but slow staff. It needs improvement. The dishes, considering the price paid, weren't abundant.
01/10/2025: Pici all'aglione, peposo with polenta, and grape and walnut cake. Amazing!!! Everything homemade, served with kindness and courtesy, and a more than reasonable price (€49 for two). Highly recommended!

26/08/2025: We stayed three nights at the Relais Della Rovere and dined at the restaurant one evening. The hotel setting is very pleasant, especially the terrace in the summer evenings, but the quality of the food isn't always consistent, which is disappointing considering the price. The beef tartare was very good, but it lacked seasoning. The truffle pasta was good, but you could tell it wasn't homemade and it was cooked in a bit too much butter. The gnocchi were quite good, but the pesto was probably not homemade and lacked flavor. The wine list has a wide selection, but almost no bottles under €45.
We finished with a pecorino cheese board to share, worried we might be disappointed by the desserts. The board was quite generous with cheeses, but we're still looking for the accompaniments listed on the menu.
In short, for a meal costing over €60 per person, we were generally disappointed. I recommend the hotel, but unless you really don't want to go anywhere, skip the restaurant! I'll end on a positive note with the friendly and welcoming service.

13/06/2025: Einfacht typisch Italienische Küche. Sehr ruhig gelegen im der Toskana. Einfache gute Küche. Mit Bilder schön beschrieben wie die Gerichte aussehen. Nonna macht die Pasta selber.
18/05/2025: In posizione defilata, lungo la strada che da Castel porta a San Gimignano, la Locanda del Borgo è un ambiente tranquillo dove si mangia toscano e bene. Ottimi i pici al ragú bianco di cinta senese così come le caramelle ripiene con la pera e il formaggio versato a cascata. Gustosissimo il tagliere con affettati toscani (coppa, finocchiona e salame) accompagnato da crostoni e salsine, il tagliere di formaggi e…senz’altro la famosa fiorentina che qui è certo di casa. Prezzi non economici, ma ormai nello standard. Cena consigliata a chi si trova da queste parti.

25/04/2025: Luogo piccolo, ma molto accogliente.... molto curato ma sopratutto la gentilezza e il cibo hanno fatto la differenza.
