02/10/2025: The food was delicious and everything was perfect.

28/08/2025: I was with some friends, and we all raved about the dishes they served. I had FABULOUS spaghetti with clams, and a pistachio dessert that was equally delicious. We'll be back from Pisa.

02/05/2026: We had high expectations, but the beautiful view didn't justify the price. The dishes were average, all arrived cold. The fish was €10 per 100g, with potatoes and olives of very poor quality. Very confusing and inattentive service. The bill was exorbitant.

14/09/2025: The staff is super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The cleanliness is top-notch. It's a 3-star hotel, a bit dated...but the cleanliness of the bathroom, the breakfast (rich: homemade sweets and savory, fresh fruit), and the location are the strong points of this hotel. 17/08/2025: "This owner-managed hotel leaves nothing to be desired. The hotel and its grounds are in excellent condition, the rooms are well-equipped, and are kept very clean daily. The owners and staff are always approachable and helpful and friendly. We didn't notice any negative things."

28/04/2026: The table setting and ambiance were poorly maintained and certainly not in line with the prices. We waited for a first course for forty minutes without any justification. The oil was old (2024 harvest), and the fried food was rubbery with poor quality oil. The staff was rushed, sullen, and not very talkative. Two first courses, one fried dish, one local prosecco (plain), and one sparkling water: €91.

08/04/2026: At Grigolo, we received a warm welcome from the "hosts," Flavio and his wife, who pampered us without being too intrusive, and from the rest of the team. I had the privilege of stepping into the kitchen and seeing the excellent freshly caught fish with my own eyes. This restaurant showcases the culinary tradition, a rarity in most restaurants these days. Fresh, authentic food expertly prepared by Flavio. Clean and tidy atmosphere. Congratulations.

26/08/2025: A truly positive experience The place doesn't have a sea view, but it's right on the sea, away from the crowds and noise. You don't see the sun set, but the moon rise. The pizza and schiacciatine are excellent, because the pizza chef has, I'd say, thirty years of experience!!! The owners are kind and professional, and the waitress is attentive and friendly. 16/07/2025: I don't usually write reviews, but in this case, I think everyone should know where they're going and not be misled by other people's good reviews. My family and I came at lunchtime to eat together—there were five of us. However, we couldn't order anything other than sandwiches. We asked for mojitos: two with alcohol and two without. The mojitos had spoiled mint and stale lemon. The drink tasted disappointing and was unpleasant. We addressed the issue with the bartender, but received only negative comments. Furthermore, the service was disgusting: the women were unfriendly and rude. I don't recommend this cafe. I usually don't write reviews, but this time I feel that everyone should know where they are going and not be misled by the good reviews of others. My family and I came during lunch to eat together—there were five of us. However, apart from the sandwiches, we couldn't order anything else. We asked for mojitos: two with alcohol and two without. 12/01/2026: The dishes didn't live up to the very beautiful location. The spiciness was too much, covering the flavor of the fish and the dish. In fact, to be honest, the flavor of the fish was very, very mild. The staff was very friendly and the prices were fair.

08/01/2026: I had been to this restaurant years ago and returned to see if it was still like this. Everything was really good, excellent food, professional and very knowledgeable staff. The atmosphere was beautiful. I will be back.

15/11/2025: When you think you know a thing or two about pizza and then suddenly THIS happens. After cycling nearly 440 km through Tuscany, we were looking for a place to eat together before leaving. There were several very good dishes on offer, but this pizza was a real surprise. With its location, amazing food, and friendly people, this restaurant comes highly recommended.

07/04/2026: The new chef has radically transformed the experience: the cuisine has gone from mediocre to excellent. Fresh pasta takes center stage, complemented by high-quality fish sauces and solid meat options. A marked improvement in quality and technique, while maintaining absolutely fair prices. A must-visit destination for gourmets.

19/03/2026: L'Approdo remains my favorite when the good weather arrives. I'm lucky enough to have a house in Piombino, just a few minutes by ferry from Rio Marina. Located in the center of town, Paolo, with his professionalism and passion, always delights us with quality dishes and the catch of the day. I recommend it.

05/01/2026: We were welcomed at 6pm, cold and hungry, and despite the early hour, we were served in a very short time with delicious and abundant food! Number one!

03/10/2025: It's best to steer clear of this restaurant. Spaghetti "al dente" doesn't mean you have to suck it until it's soft in your mouth. Simply awful. We asked if we could get anything else to eat. The woman put the menu in front of us. We chose our food, then she said there were only three dishes. And 40 euros for one Coke, one water, two espressos, and two portions of spaghetti is, to put it mildly, outrageous. A recommendation is completely out of the question.
