03/06/2025: Der Service besticht durch natürliche Herzlichkeit. Tischwechsel, da Belüftungsgeräusch als störend empfunden, gar kein Problem! Antipasto und Primo waren aufgrund Quantita absolut ausreichend. Qualität, super lecker! Sehr empfehlenswert.
02/06/2025: Bel ristorante.a circa 15/20 min da Firenze. Ottima la cucina, il panorama e il servizio. Tutto impeccabile. Ci torneremo sicuramente.

04/10/2025: The service left much to be desired. We ordered two glasses of wine and they lost our order; we ordered two appetizers and they lost our order again (which arrived after an hour). Finally, we ordered tiramisu: incredible but true, if I hadn't gone to ask about our dessert after 45 minutes, it would never have arrived. Still, we ate well, and the place is gorgeous.
26/09/2025: Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly but always professional.
The liqueurs offered at the end of the meal were highly appreciated, especially the milk one.

19/09/2025: We've always considered it a good restaurant and used to come here quite often, but we were very disappointed that, at least since last year, the hot and cold appetizer we always ordered, which we thought was spectacular because it wasn't ordinary, as well as excellent, was removed from the menu. Bring it back!
Then because we were served a second course that also contained sliced RAW onion, which obviously didn't go well with the gratinated fish.

23/09/2025: This is a good place where reservations are essential. Keep this in mind if you're booking for lunch or dinner, as you can't transfer between meals. Luckily, we were allowed to stay, even though we weren't told about it when we booked.
The food is excellent, in its own style, a bit gourmet, but definitely worth a try.
My husband and I were disappointed with the service. Only towards the end of the evening did the waiters warm up to us; before that, they were dismissive, to put it mildly. This place is strictly touristy, so this attitude surprised us.
The view from there is simply beautiful, and the atmosphere is pleasant.

11/10/2025: We celebrated my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary. Even though we chose a simple dinner, they took great care in everything, from the table settings to the customization of the menus to the beautiful cake.
The service was top-notch, very helpful and kind.
The food was a guarantee.
The cold cuts were of excellent quality, the two excellent first courses and one tagliata was really good.
I recommend it.
03/10/2025: A welcoming, family-run restaurant. A delightful blend of traditional recipes, flavors, and a fine selection of wines. All this in the Chianti countryside. Five stars are not enough.

01/09/2025: The food is delicious; you can tell it's authentic and homemade. The staff is super friendly, and the outdoor terrace is very pleasant. Go early, because it took a while to serve us.
31/08/2025: There were 2 of us... we had a very good appetizer, cold cuts and fresh cheeses. A glass of rosé was very good, but the only disappointing thing was the tagliata (unfortunately eaten by a Cicciaio connoisseur like myself). I had seen the price and was amazed by the cost (at least 2-3 euros less than the normal price), so we ordered it. The cooking was perfect, the problem is that the meat was tough, very sinewy, and not blended enough. We ate it because the flavor was good, so the kitchen had done everything perfectly, perhaps the butcher a little less. But we will be back to try again...

03/06/2025: Preis-/Leistung ist schwer zu toppen. Ein wunderschönes Abenderlebnis. Service Top! Essen Top! Wir hatten einen Tisch mit schöner Sicht in die Landschaft. Reservieren ist empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder.
03/05/2025: Ci siamo ritrovati in questo ristorante per puro caso, poiché abbiamo prenotato un B&B vicino ed eravamo in moto . Abbiamo preso solo un primo e un secondo, poiché venivamo già da un pranzo abbondante , ma propongono un percorso enogastronomico che consiglio di fare e che mi dispiace non aver avuto modo di approfondire.Ci hanno accolto con degli stuzzichini di casa ( favolosi 😋). Personale molto preparato, attento e cordiale, piatti molto raffinati e materie prime eccellenti. La cosa sorprendente è il rapporto qualità-prezzo. Ah...anche nel finale sono stati molto cordiali nell' offrire dei dolci mignon fatti dallo chef.. Consigliatissimo

Vi spiego perché.
Ultimamente ho girato in posti bellissimi a Firenze dove la mia attenzione di donna si focalizzava molto sull'arredamento,l'illuminazione e un po' meno sulle pietanze.
È l'effetto natalizio.
Spesso succede in questo periodo difficile per tutti noi.
Ieri sera ho trovato un posto dove finalmente la ciccia della "tartare"era tagliata a coltello.
Che cavolo !!siamo a Firenze.
È d'obbligo scusate!.invece ...non voglio citare alcune trattorie vecchissime e rinomate del centro,che talvolta hanno un nome!!!da anni..da generazioni ...che ultimamente presentano carne frullata come "tartare"....oppure ti portano un bicchiere di vino senza farti vedere la bottiglia .
Arrivano direttamente con il bicchiere al tavolo.
No!!non si fa.
Si arriva al tavolo con la bottiglia e si versa al cliente.
Vado avanti.
L'Antica trattoria Calcinaia....località San Casciano val di pesa rispecchia tutte le tradizioni fiorentine.
Ciccia stratosferica e vini ottimi esposti all'entrata, visibili nella parete illuminata.
Un bancone di affettati selezionati di ottima qualità.
Ospitalità e cordialità da dieci e lode.
Cameriere simpaticissimo molto professionale.
Rapporto qualità prezzo non ve lo dico neanche perché è da non credere.
In un posto diverso avremmo speso il doppio.
Quindi ottimo.
La location è arredata con gusto.
Lampade particolarmente ricercate appoggiate su comodini antichi vanno a creare all'interno della sala un gioco di luce per un'atmosfera intima.
Vetrine antiche riempite di piatti e bicchieri spiccano in ogni angolo della sala contrastando il bianco latte delle pareti.
Dolci.
Fatti in casa come tradizione comanda.
Soddisfattissima direi.

The exterior is a bit poorly maintained (gardens and park).
It undoubtedly has its charm being in the Florentine countryside close to Florence.
