22/12/2025: An experience to forget. We booked a table at 10:00 PM, the only available time. We showed up at the scheduled time and were made to wait outside in the cold for half an hour because the tables hadn't been vacated yet. After they seated us, we ordered an appetizer and a first course. We then wanted to try a second course, but were told that the kitchen was now closed and they couldn't serve us anything else... absolutely unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber and with those prices.

06/01/2026: We had dinner on New Year's Eve with my wife and children. I really appreciated the menu choices. The first courses, in particular, were wonderful. The lobster caps were of the highest quality and tasted incredibly delicate, the service was very attentive, and the view of the square was excellent, where you can eat well even in winter.
06/01/2026: FANTASTIC DINNER
We ate in a small but very charming indoor dining room, and were greeted by kind and very knowledgeable staff. And what can I say about the food? The best pasta I've ever eaten and a fantastic Florentine steak.
I highly recommend trying it.

Very nice and well-organized rooms.
Excellent location, a 10-minute walk to the center.
Restaurant: Christmas lunch was very good, so plentiful I couldn't finish it all.
A few flaws with the waiter Carlo, but overall everything was good.

27/12/2025: These places should be designated a World Heritage Site...do I sound exaggerated? Let me explain...
1) Nice little place, clean, quaint, in the historic center, with the option of eating outside at the tables...
2) Appetizing, varied, and very inspiring sandwich/focaccia menu.
3) Option to create your own sandwich from scratch (not a given given the line of tourists).
4) Delicious, top-quality products... fabulous cold cuts, porchetta to die for.
5) The prices. 4 ingredients for 5 euros, 5 ingredients for 6 euros... Given the historical period and the location, these prices are sensational. Just last night we bought 4 menus at McDonald's for €43 (Swiss ones that kept coming back to me over and over again that night). The 5 sandwiches I bought today for €30, for their goodness, warmth, memories, and flavor, re-established the right balance between good and authentic things and junk food.
Well done to the entire Moro di Arezzo team. Well done, well done, well done...Happy New Year!

14/06/2025: Purtroppo non posso recensire la qualità del cibo in quanto la scortesia del personale ha fatto sì che nemmeno ci sedessimo.
Infatti, alla richiesta di un tavolo vicino un ventilatore ci ha risposto: “se andate 3 km più avanti trovate una montagna” aggiungendo: “se avete le idee chiare e ordinate entro 5 min bene altrimenti nulla”
Inutile dire che ce ne siamo andati.
08/05/2025: Piacevolissima sorpresa nel centro di Arezzo. Il proprietario, gentilissimo, mi ha consigliato la pizza con farina di kamut: uno spettacolo! Impasto perfetto, digeribilissima, buonissima. Prezzi nella norma, gentilezza di tutto il personale e prodotti eccellenti.

L'angolo Delle Capanne

03/12/2024: Attratto dalle numerose recensioni positive, per una cena di lavoro per tre persone con pernottamento nell'hotel Le Capanne, abbiamo scelto di cenare in questo ristorante ospitato nella medesima struttura dell'hotel.
Abbiamo ordinato due antipasti di affettati misti con crostini (accettabili ma nulla di che) ed una fiorentina da 2 kg (da dividere) oltre a due porzioni di verdure grigliate ed una di fagioli conditi.
La fiorentina, ordinata al sangue, è arrivata troppo cotta, per la delusione dei commensali. Le verdure grigliate sono state "sostituite" da una ratatouille di verdure.
Il tutto, oltre ad una bottiglia di chianti e tre caffè, 210 euro.
Servizio nella norma.
Mi sento di dire che non lo consiglierei come destinazione a se stante, come ristorante dell'hotel ci può anche stare, ma l'esperienza non è comunque stata adeguata alle aspettative.
18/11/2024: Ottimo ristorante posto a ridosso di un delizioso hotel sito nella campagna aretina. Il ristorante offre i tipici piatti del territorio, tutti ottimamente preparati con alta qualità degli ingredienti. Io ho scelto una squisita tartare di carne come antipasto e degli eccellenti pici al ragù aretino come primo. Con dessert, calice di Chianti superiore ed acqua 42 €, prezzo più che giustificato dalla qualità dei piatti e del servizio.

10/05/2025: Estuvimos allí hace un par de días para el almuerzo del curso de 5 menús, que era encantador y con mucha comida y buen vino también. Nos encantó la tienda, con mucha pasta, huevos frescos y verduras, pero también queso, salami, pan, cantucci, todo preparado por ellos. La experiencia encantadora, la gente muy agradable, tenía un buen recorrido por la Fattoria y un recorrido por el Museo con Gian Marco! Muy recomendable la experiencia y muy triste solo tenemos 5 salidas, habríamos dado todas las salidas disponibles 😃
02/05/2025: Wij zijn hier recent geweest voor een rondleiding en aansluitend een uitgebreide lunch.
Het was een mooie plek. De rondleiding was divers, informatief maar vrij oppervlakkig.
Leuk om bakkerij aan t werk te zien. Verder geen arbeid te zien. Her en der proeven van eten en wijn was aangenaam.
Aansluitend de lunch was gezellig. Er werd allerhande drank geschonken bij de aperitief hapjes. Divers en smaakvol.
Daarna aan lange tafels met verschillende mensen samen voor de lunchgerechten. Allerlei gerechten en bijgerechten, voldoende voor ieder.
Niet super verfijnd of origineel.
Een lekkere, mooie plek om te vertoeven.

29/07/2023: we came last year twice for lunch in this lovely hotel/ restaurant. it was expensive but worth it, the food was delicious and refined, the location really isolated and beautiful. we came back to day and were immensely disappointed. the menu is basic and basically done as well. we still paid a lot of money for something i can get in any American cafeteria. hamburger, fried veggies and shrimps ( 2) , humus, a creme brulee which was not brulee. the cocktail and coffee were good and that is about it. really really disappointed.
