Solaz Winebar
Palau

Al Novantuno, restaurant & more
Arzachena

Arzachena
15/05/2025: My experience at Le Grand restaurant, located within the iconic Cala di Volpe hotel in Sardinia, was truly exceptional on every level. The restaurant masterfully blends Italian elegance with Mediterranean charm, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Sardinian coast — creating a dining atmosphere that’s both luxurious and memorable.
We began the evening with the watermelon salad, a refreshing and artfully presented dish. The natural sweetness of the watermelon was perfectly balanced with the subtle saltiness of a light cheese and the fresh aroma of mint leaves. It was a bright and invigorating start that set the tone for the rest of the meal.
Next came the goat kid meat pasta, which was nothing short of exquisite. The meat was tender, delicately seasoned, and full of rich, earthy flavor. The pasta itself was clearly handmade, with a fresh and perfectly al dente texture that complemented the depth of the sauce beautifully. It was a hearty and comforting dish that still managed to feel refined.
But the true highlight of the evening was the shrimp pasta, which was prepared live in front of us. This wasn’t just a dish — it was an interactive experience. The aroma that filled the air during its preparation was mouthwatering, and once served, it delivered on every level. The shrimp was fresh and succulent, cooked with precision, and the sauce carried the briny essence of the sea, enhanced with hints of garlic and citrus. It was a vibrant, flavor-packed creation.
The service at Le Grand was impeccable — attentive, discreet, and deeply knowledgeable. Every detail, from the presentation of the dishes to the flow of the meal, was handled with professionalism and care.
In short, dining at Le Grand felt like a true culinary journey — a blend of tradition, innovation, and artistry in one of the most beautiful settings in Sardinia. A must-visit for any food lover seeking a memorable gourmet experience.
