12/07/2025: Everything was absolutely excellent and well-managed! I visited Ascoli Piceno and its wonderful griffon vultures, then went to lunch at Medievalys. Absolutely traditional, high-quality food, quick and impeccable service, and the hosts were incredibly kind and friendly! Highly recommended. Definitely try the "sartascinedda"—it's an explosion of flavor you'd never expect! ++++

04/07/2025: We had dinner here through The Fork. We ordered an octopus salad (dressed octopus) to start; it was very well-made, tender, and flavorful. For main courses, we ordered tuna with pistachio cream and ravioli with crayfish cream. The pasta was delicious, and the tuna was spectacular—juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection, and the pistachio cream gave it a special touch. The place is very pleasant, with both a covered and open terrace. It has beautiful views of an olive grove and the sea.

26/06/2025: Poor and unprofessional service, ruined evening, miserable portions and badly served, I do not recommend it, high price and I repeat, never served as badly as in this restaurant, it could improve if they served customers with respect and education.

02/07/2025: Magical place in Vieste. A few steps from the seafront, a magical and beautiful place. It is worth visiting the Chalet degli ulivi even just for the location. Olive trees everywhere, refined furnishings, attention to detail. We had the pizza, excellent Neapolitan dough with a high edge (very soft!) and a thin interior. Above average desserts, their "Terramisù" really special in the earthenware jar. It is really worth it.

14/07/2025: We booked a night at the Hotel Gran Paradiso with half-board service, as described in the booking confirmation: "Half-board includes: • Three-course dinner (drinks not included) at our *Ristorante Vineria Sale e Pepe*" Our dinner experience at this restaurant was as follows. The food didn't live up to expectations based on the descriptions on the website and the menu prices. The half-board service was completely unclear (the booking generically indicated three courses); only when ordering dinner were we told we could order a first course, a second course, and a dessert per person. Furthermore, we were told that there was a supplement for the courses marked with an asterisk, but we weren't told how much. At the end of the meal, we ordered two digestives from the menu (at €5 each), and we needed two different ones because the ones on the menu weren't available! Given the infinitesimal quantity of digestives, we didn't order another. The next morning, upon checking out, we discovered the pleasant surprise of the bill. In particular, the €10 supplement for the two first courses (the price of the tonnarelli listed on the receipt reflects this supplement; just compare with the menu price). The even better surprise was the €12 charge for each of the three digestives (when the menu price was €5). What can I say!!!! A complete lack of clarity and information that undermines the professionalism of the service provided.

06/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato quasi per caso e abbiamo trovato qualcosa di eccezionale! La location è bella, luminosa, suggestiva e davvero curata nei dettagli. Il cibo vale il viaggio! Quando il piatto è un quadro, si mangia con gli occhi e poi in bocca esplode di mille sensazioni, la cucina è vincente. Personale educato e preparato. Grazie per averci fatto passare una serata stupenda.

18/06/2025: We stayed at the Hotel Il Porto in Matinata for several days – the property is beautiful and the food is absolutely top-notch, truly of a high standard. A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay today on the last evening was massively marred by the behavior of the receptionist. The lady was extremely unfriendly, rude, and unpleasant, even making derogatory remarks about us in Italian – apparently assuming we wouldn't understand. For a hotel in this price range, that's a complete impertinence and simply unacceptable. We didn't feel comfortable at dinner, which is a shame, as we were actually looking forward to a pleasant end to our stay. This kind of treatment of guests should not occur – especially not in a hotel that prides itself on quality and hospitality. We stayed at Hotel Il Porto in Matinata for several days – the property is beautiful and the food is absolutely top-notch, truly high quality. A big compliment to the kitchen for that. Unfortunately, our stay was severely overshadowed on the last evening by the behavior of the receptionist. The lady was extremely rude, snappy, and unfriendly, and even made derogatory remarks about us in Italian – apparently assuming we wouldn’t understand. For a hotel in this price range, this is a disgraceful and completely unacceptable attitude. We no longer felt comfortable during dinner, which is a real shame, as we had been looking forward to a nice ending to our stay. Such treatment of guests should not happen – especially not in a place that claims to stand for quality and hospitality.

01/07/2025: Truly fantastic hotel, for the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, for the efficiency of the services, for the strategic position. The staff is efficient, kind and always available. I recommend it to everyone.

03/07/2025: The only thing to say is that let's say that it has nothing of a trattoria so it would be better to just write restaurant, however the food is really good and the dishes are very special, we recommend it 😉

30/06/2025: Wonderful place in a very pleasant and relaxing environment, very good food and very kind and helpful staff, the rooms for overnight stays are very large in a quiet area 100 meters from the restaurant, overlooking the garden, possibility of visiting animals, in the back that looks towards the hills. Excellent value for money. Recommended 100%
