15/09/2025: Let me start by saying that, although I love good food, I don't have the culture to appreciate gourmet dishes, even though I've had several experiences with Michelin-starred chefs. But Sigismondo stands out: his dishes combine sophistication with simplicity, flavor with emotion; at this restaurant, you don't go for quantity, but rather to unleash your brain's synapses with quality. As a good host, Sigismondo explains the dish to you but isn't intrusive: he doesn't tell you stories, he doesn't mislead you by suggesting emotions. He explains what's in front of you, gives you small suggestions, and then, confident in the excellence of his staff, leaves everything else to rest. I tasted delicacy and flavor on my plate, with simple everyday dishes made with ingredients from a "friend" who never lets you down, reworked with almost ingenious flair. At Sigismondo, you don't go with your eye on the clock: you're not sitting at a table next to another, the jazz playing from the speakers relaxes you, the wine cellar is well-stocked, the table has just the right amount of space to hold the hand of the person you love (my wife, specifically). The bell from the clock tower ringing the hours is delightful, a touch of casual elegance that makes the experience unique and almost necessary. Lastly (and it must be said), Sigismondo, even though he plays the role of an entrepreneur, isn't greedy: after a chat and when it came time to pay the bill, he was happy to offer us a homemade amaro, just as he had offered us the prosecco at the beginning of the meal. But above all, and this was even more moving, the wine, divine like the ambrosia of the Gods, was his gift. As we left, the only thought that assailed us was finding another opportunity to go to Degusteria del Gigante.

10/10/2025: Amazing! Friendly, helpful, and the food was excellent: well-prepared first courses, as well as second courses (the grilled pork chops were so good you'll want to try them again). For three, a first course, a second course, plenty of water, wine, and dessert, for 90 euros.

07/10/2025: I returned after many years, and I must say it's just as I remembered it. A simple and authentic place, just the way I like it. The cuisine is traditional, with authentic flavors and traditional dishes. You can tell it's a family-run establishment; the atmosphere is truly welcoming and relaxed. I'm always delighted to find places like this, which never disappoint, even after many years. 23/08/2025: Every year, when we return from Puglia, we stop in Ascoli Piceno during the first week of July and book dinner at Antico Bonelli. I prefer to call ahead to be sure of a seat, because it's an event we absolutely don't want to miss! We have a wonderful time. The food is delicious and everything is made strictly with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is welcoming, not to mention the kindness and friendliness with which we are served. 19/10/2025: And unfortunately, the menu didn't blow us away. The turbot main course was OK, but nothing special. The appetizers were very "scampi-heavy," and we didn't like the snails. Overall, the value for money here isn't good compared to other restaurants in the area.

09/10/2025: Spectacular wedding. The aperitif on the terrace was exceptional, with first courses and scampi of the highest quality, and the service was also excellent. Simply a world-class location 🌎

11/10/2025: It was so tangy and impregnated with oil right down to its DNA that I got up in the night and drank a diger seltzer to digest a "fried" fish dish that, more than fried, seemed boiled in oil of which the owner who "fries" to please the customer is a mystery as to what type or chemical compound he uses (certainly not peanut oil).

15/09/2025: A pleasantly surprising place with its decor and excellent products. I've been there a couple of times and enjoyed the food. The young waitress was friendly and helpful, as was another lady, while the owner, perhaps, was a little cold and unhelpful. A tip for the platter: for that price, add a little more (3 slices of fresh cheese, a small piece of sausage, 1 slice of Ciauscolo, and 2 thin slices of something else?). The wine is excellent, as is the price. It deserves a 5-star rating, but the lady's rude attitude keeps me from doing so. I'll be back anyway, and I hope she changes her attitude, or I'm just having a bad day.

12/09/2025: Express cuisine using quality ingredients. Dishes are served in just the right quantities, without frills or elaborate plating. Decor is somewhere between minimalist and a souvenir market. Service is eager but a bit hesitant. Good value for money.

06/10/2025: We stayed here for a few nights in the second half of September. We received a very friendly welcome. The spacious pool with a magnificent view was already quite cold. We rented bikes and explored the beautiful surroundings. A wonderful area for sporty cyclists, or those with e-bikes.

03/07/2025: You can stay here with a tent, caravan or camper. There are also 2 apartments available. Very nice location, you look out over the vineyard. They make their own wine that you can taste on site. Highly recommended, delicious wine.

28/08/2025: I've known this place for a long time...it's a beautiful beach resort. Inside, there's an elegant bar and an equally elegant restaurant...outside, there are sofas and tables for enjoying excellent aperitifs. Excellent service. Under the new management, we only had an aperitif, but we've already planned dinner, after which I'll write a review.

27/08/2025: After seven years, I'm sadly forced to revise this review. The restaurant has significantly lowered its quality. I'll start by saying that I don't eat fish, but it seems truly inconceivable to me that I couldn't get two different dishes out at the same time. Today, my partner and I met here for dinner. My dish arrived 10 minutes after ordering. I waited five minutes for my partner's, but it hadn't arrived yet. I started eating. I finished eating, and my girlfriend's dish still hadn't arrived. About 45 minutes passed between the two dishes. We didn't get to eat together. First, she waited and watched me eat, now I wait and watch her eat.

27/08/2025: Even though I've known this place for a few years and have eaten there both in-house and for takeout—the food was good, no doubt—today I found myself with my partner having an unpleasant lunch. I'll start by saying that the wait for a waitress was long; I had to call her personally to have our drinks brought and our food ordered. A lack of hospitality from the start, but we're off to a good start. My partner ordered a simple dish, cutlet and fries, and I ordered spaghetti allo scoglio. His dish arrived less than 10 minutes later. We were impressed by the speed of service until a good 45 minutes had passed since my order arrived. I noticed that it wasn't just me; the wait at other tables had gotten very long. The unfortunate thing about this terrible service is that, thanks to this wait, I had to watch my partner eat, and vice versa, he had to watch me when my dish arrived. It's not nice not to be able to eat together, but to have to wait for each other's food because "the kitchen wait times are like this." I pointed out to the waitress how much this annoyed me, even though she wasn't responsible, but I politely asked her to report it to the kitchen or whoever was cooking, assuming there were more than two people. Terrible, rude, and intolerable service. It's a real shame to see this place lose quality in service; the food today was good, but the pasta was strangely overcooked. Food and service can't match the quality of their work.

17/09/2025: A refined and welcoming atmosphere, dishes rich in character and local roots, accompanied by a wine list featuring excellent local products. The chef demonstrates great technique and a deep knowledge of the local cuisine, offering refined dishes that convey a sense of warmth, home, and family. An experience I highly recommend. Everything was perfect.
