02/03/2026: A wonderful experience at this hotel. The room was spacious, the amenities top-notch with thoughtful and comprehensive toiletries, a comfortable shower, and a lovely balcony overlooking the lake. The staff was attentive, and dinner offered excellent value for money. The only slight drawback was the breakfast buffet, which was a little underwhelming compared to the overall standard of the establishment. I highly recommend this place.
27/02/2026: Absolutely great stay, hotel staff are very very helpful and friendly and especially Ash who works at the reception. Ash has been a great help in guiding us to where to visit and how to get there. He has also been very efficient in service. This is definitely a great hotel to stay in and the walk to the ferry is only 5-10min away along with nice restaurants and bakery's nearby.

27/02/2026: No whole wheat pizza! Passing by with a friend for a quick pizza, we ordered two with whole wheat dough bases. Absolutely negative rating, presumably due to inadequate leavening, as the pizza is very compact. I should add that wherever we go, we always order whole wheat, so we feel we know this type of pizza well enough. February 2026, I'm updating my review. The pizza maker has probably changed; the pizza is excellent. I'd say the prices for dishes other than pizza are a little less excellent.

10/01/2026: We went to this restaurant for the first time this evening. An experience to forget in every way: from appetizers to main courses to dessert. The menu doesn't reflect the dishes served, as some ingredients are missing. The desserts were terrible: they took a long time to arrive, and only then did we understand why: they were frozen. The chocolate cake, however, was served burnt. Also, pay attention to your receipt: we encountered several issues, with some dishes being priced higher than what was listed on the menu. We absolutely do not recommend it.
10/01/2026: We just had lunch at this wonderful restaurant and will definitely be back because the food was excellent, the staff was kind and helpful, the atmosphere warm and welcoming, and it was truly a wonderful experience overall!

17/11/2025: A big heartfelt thank you to Adriano for helping us recover our beloved pink bear. He found it, arranged registered mail to send it back to us, and patiently answered all our questions during the 3-week wait. His kindness, care, and dedication truly touched us. We are deeply grateful for everything he has done. In addition, the owner, Andre always make us feel welcome throughout our stay. Breakfast and coffee are the best we have tasted in Como.
20/10/2025: The only good thing about this “hotel” is the location. Rooms outdated but okay for the price, however very cold. On the other hand please avoid this accommodation, the receptionist I assume owner named Silvia wrongfully accused us stealing from the breakfast (muesli bar)😅 then started an argument being quite aggressive and making no solid point which is totally unacceptable as we were paying guests. Only the gentleman at the reception tried to deescalate the situation which made us not to pursue furthermore the situation. This has made such a bad impact on our trip, she was hitting a tone that was derogatory , was pushing the lines of bullying and was far from professional behavior.

05/11/2025: Great location with a sensational view, lovely restaurant, very friendly service, delicious and beautifully presented food! The prices of several well-known red wines are shockingly high; luckily, there was an affordable rosé from Schola Sarmenti or the Whispering Angel, which are always a good choice.
04/11/2025: When we had dinner at Il Gatto Nero, we had a wonderful evening and, of course, a delicious meal. We had reserved a table a few days in advance and were given a lovely spot. The main reason for our visit was the food; the view is nice, but that's true of other restaurants as well. We parked in the parking lot further down, and a staff member shuttled guests to and from the restaurant. The service was good, as expected for a restaurant of this caliber. The food was truly delicious, especially the Sicilian red prawn carpaccio appetizer, which was simply divine. Combined with the ambiance and the view, it was a very pleasant evening. Thank you to the entire team at Il Gatto Nero.

18/01/2026: A month ago, I requested a quote for my birthday and spoke directly with one of the owners, who assured me he would get back to me shortly. Since then, he has completely disappeared. Despite repeated reminders, I have never been contacted. This kind of behavior not only demonstrates zero professionalism, but it has wasted my time. Totally unacceptable.
03/01/2026: Paid 20 euros more per person for New Year's Eve for the reason of New Year's Eve service, what services apart from the TV on, there was nothing, absurd prices 400 euros for a pizza, 2 focaccias, 2 starters, 2 first courses and 4 ice creams,

08/02/2026: Unfortunately, it was a bad experience. We ordered a half portion of penne with tomato sauce for our son. Four penne arrived, and when we paid, we were charged €14 for a measly plate of pasta. I asked for an explanation, saying that the pasta was a half portion. But the lady at the cashier didn't care in the slightest. Her explanation was...it says a full portion here! Without even asking the waiter if there had been a mistake.

I ordered ossobuco, which, unfortunately, did not even begin to live up to the standards of this traditional dish. The meat was extremely tough, practically inedible, and far from the consistency and quality of a true ossobuco. I only tasted a small piece and decided not to eat it, as it was clearly undercooked. The situation worsened further when it came to the bill. Despite calmly explaining that I hadn't eaten the dish due to its poor quality, I was still asked to pay for the entire ossobuco. During the discussion, the owner even suggested we take the dish home to "finish the cooking," as if it were normal for a customer to finish preparing a dish at home that should be served properly cooked in the restaurant. I found this attitude extremely unprofessional and rude, especially considering that the problem wasn't a matter of personal taste, but a clear flaw in the preparation of the dish. Instead of seeking an appropriate solution, they preferred to argue and place the blame on the customer. It's truly a shame, because I expected a completely different experience. I believe that the quality of the dishes and respect for the customer are fundamental, and unfortunately, both were lacking on this occasion. —————————————————— Unfortunately, my experience at Trattoria Laghee was deeply disappointing. 06/07/2025: El Pinot Grigio Gravoso estaba fresco y tenía sabores muy interesantes. El Genisia Pinot Nero fue igualmente bueno y razonable. Los tagliatelle al funghi eran ligeros pero satisfactorios. El pesto estaba igualmente delicioso. También funciona como tienda de vinos por lo que su selección es variada. Queríamos volver para una segunda noche de comida reconfortante, pero nos quedamos sin noches en Como. Definitivamente volveremos. Gracias Mille.
17/06/2025: Buena comida, pero propietario desagradable, grosero y poco alegre. Su personal parecía miserable. No hay ambiente ni relación entre todos ellos. Creo que es probablemente un poco intimidante para ellos, como yo sentía que era para mí. No volveríamos. Gran pena, ya que la comida era muy buena.
