Il Pirata delle Cinque Terre

09/05/2025: Food is good for Cinque terre standards. Hard to find something decent in this area. Service is great though, really nice folks.
08/05/2025: Restaurant, café, grocery store... all in one! I ordered an Americano coffee (€3) and a delicious pear pastry (€3) to go. The owner has a sense of humor and speaks excellent French!

30/05/2025: PLACE NOT SUITABLE FOR ITALIANS.
You can tell that it is a very touristy place, not only for the prices, but above all for the quality of the food: small portions, not fresh fish, little attention to detail.
We had a pasta that, to pay €15, they brought us just a taste. Then, the swordfish was noticeably not fresh, despite the chef lying shamelessly, it left us nauseated for the whole evening. They tried to fix it, bringing tasteless calamari, which they charged as much as the swordfish!
In the end I lost my appetite so much, that I only had a side dish after the first course and we left. Oh, and they didn't even offer us bitters for the mix-up.
Unfortunately, the problem is that places frequented mainly by foreigners end up losing quality, almost automatically and unconsciously.
So, it's not a criticism of the chef himself or the waitress (always very kind and professional), but of the performance of the place that is losing its Italianness, from all points of view.
Too bad, definitely not an experience we will repeat.

21/05/2025: Petit lieu très agréable lors de douces soirées pour un moment de quiétude. Le choix des vins est très bon.
De petits plats ou en-cas sont proposés.
07/04/2025: Notre coup de coeur , 5 jours 5 apéros sur place , deux dames fantastiques et adorables , une vue mer avec le soleil qui tappe en fin de journée et tout cela au calme , merci mesdames !!! Un accros du negroni et de l'aperol limon 🥃🤣

03/05/2025: Abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante con vista pazzesca su Vernazza.
Abbiamo preso due primi veramente ottimi.
Peccato che:
- gli spaghetti con vongole e bottarga erano senza vongole (solo gusci vuoti);
- tagliolini al nero con tartare di gambero: fantastici! ma proposti con aggiunta di mandorle e pinoli e una granola che non erano indicati nel menù. Questa è disattenzione verso il cliente qualora non fossero graditi o in caso di allergie/intolleranze.
30/04/2025: Excelente cena con una vista impresionante de Vernazza al atardecer. El servicio era excepcional también. Mi esposa y yo paramos a cenar después de caminar desde Corniglio. Tuvimos un tiempo maravilloso!

07/06/2025: We were going to eat here on our last night but then we read the reviews!! We called by at 8pm and there wasn't a single person in there while all the other restaurants were full, that tells you all you need to know! The owner needs to realize that people leave reviews and stop treating customers like an inconvenience. Until he changes his attitude the place will remain empty, a severe lack of professionalism. If he hates customers that much then just do everyone a favour and shut the place down!
01/06/2025: Tourist rip-off. We've eaten in Cinque Terre several times and sometimes paid a lot, but the quality in this restaurant doesn't hold up. We were also pressured to order as quickly as possible. The restaurant only survives on its well-located terrace in the village. But yes: in Cinque Terre, even a restaurant like this can survive with the crowds.

05/05/2025: Este fuera - el - golpeado - restaurante de camino estaba en el camino a nuestro apartamento de alquiler, así que después de unos días en Vernazza, decidimos probarlo. Habíamos dudado en comer anchoas, pero como uno de los especiales de la casa era un plato de anchoa / patata / tomate, dimos un salto - y no nos decepcionaron! Aún más deliciosos fueron los raviolis de espinaca y ricota en salsa de nueces, el mejor plato que hemos probado en Italia. Los ñoquis con pesto también fueron increíbles. En resumen, recomendamos encarecidamente este restaurante!
