05/04/2024: This restaurant was so welcoming to this travel-weary family group of Australians. We were treated with such grace, courtesy and good humour. Our limited Italian was not an obstacle and we had a beautiful meal which included a large selection of gluten free options. Personally, all this gf mother wanted was a pizza and I was looked after beautifully. They brought me some gf bread to start, freshly baked, and my pizza was divine! Everything was just so lovely! Thank you so much. It was one of our best meals in Italy in two weeks. Molto bene grazie.

01/04/2024: See bottom for summary. The manager of the restaurant has clearly understood what are the elements that distinguish a high-class restaurant: mediocre food covered by unaffordable prices and seasoned with abundant arrogance, obviously! In particular, the €4 cover charge is exceptional, justified by a small plate of crackers and Pleistocene sandwiches that probably not even Polly the parrot would have wanted to munch on. Anyone who wants to pay the cost of a dinner at Cannavacciuolo for two first courses cooked by Uncle Peppe and a bottle of tap water will certainly be satisfied. We consumed a ladleful of tortellini in a small bowl of chicken broth and a modest portion of tagliatelle with meat sauce (among other things, really indigestible) which, I quote the victim verbatim, "I made better at home". To this add 1l of tap water. How much did we spend? €36.80... and we had a 20% discount!!! When the bill arrived, out of the corner of my eye I swore I saw the owner slide with sinister laughter into the hidden vault behind the counter... was it the Nosferatu? Jokes (I hope) aside, nothing spoiled the evening like the appalling rudeness distributed liberally towards customers. It went quite well for us but there were episodes of haughty and disgusting tones that were truly chilling. Every customer I saw come in that evening was greeted with disdain and immediately severely instructed on where to put their jackets by a host who didn't even have the courtesy to raise his eyes to look at you while he groomed you. The top scorn of the evening in my opinion was reserved for the table of nine next to us, perhaps because there was a kid there? I felt bad for them. To conclude, the summary for those who don't like reading pippotti: *very expensive* place, snooty owner convinced he has a three Michelin star and dishes to forget. Attend at your own risk (especially financial)!

07/04/2024: I give one star because the bill is €100 for two first courses, 1 bottle of red wine and 1 bottle of white, for the second course cured meats with cheeses and cold cuts and fried gnocco, and finally grappa and nocino. A little exaggerated, the right price would have been €30 or €35 per person obviously so €70 all considering that we didn't take any meat

05/04/2024: Very convenient traditional pizzeria in the center of Modena and close to the Ferrari car park. Very friendly staff, excellent quality pizza both classic and by the meter. Also with delivery and takeaway. Also open on Mondays, when many other places are closed.

30/03/2024: Excellent Experience, We entered the restaurant very late, it was 2.30pm, despite this the innkeeper Alex welcomed us and made us feel at home. Very good dishes, handmade tortellini and schnitzel with fondue and speck. Excellent quality products. We will see each other soon!!!! :)

05/04/2024: Splendid discovery, clean and well-ordered place with kind and welcoming owner, has ample parking, you can enjoy excellent fish and meat dishes. The first time we enjoyed an excellent cut of beef and we returned and this time we enjoyed excellent fish-based first courses and an exceptional fried seafood with grilled vegetables and chips. Excellent quality for the price. came back to taste the pizzas too and I can guarantee you that they are really good, well cooked and seasoned with quality ingredients. Try it to believe it

02/04/2024: Sober and elegant place, courteous and efficient staff with quick service even when the place is full, excellent quality of food, excellent fish, excellent pizza, expertly cooked traditional menu, I recommend everyone to try the patriarch, it's absolutely worth it, for the care and the great quality provided and constantly monitored by the owners. For me there is no grade beyond 10 on the report card, compliments to Mr Pino the owner and to all the table service staff.

29/03/2024: Amazing Neapolitan pizza! Wholemeal and charcoal dough, clean and welcoming place, very kind staff. As soon as we sat down they offered us a welcome soft drink and a taste of stria Everything was really perfect, we will be back to taste the fish!
