03/01/2026: Despite the excellent reviews, the restaurant was very disappointing. Most of the items on the menu were unavailable, replaced by other dishes we hadn't requested. The long waits, however, were made up for by the owner's kindness, who offered focaccia and mozzarella to fill the gaps. We hope we have a chance to change our minds!

22/10/2025: We’ve been in Italy almost 7 days and this place by far has been the most tasteful restaurant, we had the gnocchi with clams , linguine margarita pizza and calamari and they all were amazing!! I recommend this place to everyone.

07/01/2026: The fish is delicious, the pizza, even the first courses are excellent, as is the service, the bathrooms are clean, and I recommend it to everyone. It's really worth it. The waiters are polite and they advise you on what to order. I was satisfied with the dinner, everything was really good.

20/07/2025: Siamo stati al Ristorante Da Filippo in occasione di una cena. Posto leggermente affollato ma personale efficiente nei tempi di attesa. Abbiamo ordinato un primo piatto, due tagliate di carne e un dolce. Prezzi modici per la qualità del posto e del cibo, inoltre le porzioni erano adeguate ne abbondanti né insufficienti. Che dir si voglia, ma non che non abbia rispettato le nostre aspettative. Citando un noto poeta: “fu tzoppu beddu stu manciari sangò”.

21/02/2026: We had the pleasure of dining at Ristorante O' Parrucchiano in Sorrento, and we can say without hesitation that it's one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. Simply stunning. The atmosphere is magical: you eat in a huge room inside what I assume was a historic villa in the heart of the city (Corso Italia), surrounded by a wonderful lemon garden (where you can eat in the summer; temporary glass windows are provided for the winter) that seems to have come straight from a dream, with its intense aromas and timeless elegance. The restaurant is meticulously designed, refined yet rustic and welcoming, instantly making you feel like you're on vacation. We started with the chef's appetizer: not particularly generous, admittedly, but of truly excellent quality. Each bite was balanced and rich in flavor, with incredibly fresh fish and top-quality ingredients. Then we moved on to the great classics: gnocchi alla sorrentina, simply perfect, soft and enveloping, and the legendary centenary cannelloni, an iconic dish that originated right here. You can taste all the history and tradition in every bite: a true pride of Sorrento cuisine. All at absolutely reasonable prices, especially considering the extraordinary location and the quality of the food. An experience worth every penny and one I recommend to anyone passing through Sorrento. We recommend making a reservation even if we didn't, and we're delighted to say goodbye to the waiter who served us with extreme kindness, professionalism, and friendliness. A place that will remain in your heart, for its beauty, deliciousness, and authenticity. We'll definitely be back! 🌿🍋

16/02/2026: Not our first time here, but have to say this is a must try in Sorrento, the menu is extensive and food items are generally all good. It may be hyped but it’s worth a try. The ambience and historical atmosphere along with the lush back garden make this place very special — like a time travel really. Despite our server forgetting our entree, other staff did a great job making sure we had a great dining experience, given the fast pace of the restaurant. I did not however enjoy their deserts

25/02/2026: For Valentine's Day, we let them pamper us: a spa treatment and massage 💆🏻‍♀️ It was a wonderful experience, the facility is incredible: a historic residence of the poet Saltovar, which was converted into a spa with the help of architects 🧖‍♀️ The staff were kind, attentive, and professional, and took care of everything: from explaining the treatment to offering us a variety of food and drinks. Thanks again 🤍 We'll definitely be back. It's a shame we couldn't find a place to sleep there!

17/01/2026: I was a little worried because of some of the negative reviews, but I was completely satisfied! The seafood risotto was the best! It had a distinct seafood flavor without any fishy smell, and it was simply delicious. The price was reasonable, and the food came out quickly!

09/03/2026: We were at this restaurant in the center of Sorrento yesterday for Women's Day. The gnocchi alla sorrentina were excellent...and the service was fast and professional from Marco and his staff. I highly recommend it.

20/02/2026: Avoid if you can or if you don’t have a choice. Most Rude owner I ever encountered as you can’t have a conversation. My partner didn’t like his drink was watery and asked to change it politely. The Waitress kindly tried to take it back to bar and sadly she came back to the table with the drink saying owner was coming to understand what was wrong with the drink. Without saying hello he asked myself what was wrong with the drink and to tell him how to do it cause the drink was fine in his opinion. Politely tried to tell him wasn’t of my liking but he continued with a sassy attitude asking to tell him how I supposed to do it that my partner had to jump and rescue me as he was raising his voice. Didn’t finish neither of drinks, we just stood up payed and left saying goodbye which was at least answered.

15/01/2026: We arrived in Sorrento from Naples by ferry and, as our hotel was far from the center (where the restaurants are concentrated) and it was already late, we opted to have lunch at this place. Despite the reviews on Google, we decided to give it a chance. In my opinion, as a Google Guide user, I don't consider the restaurant excellent or unmissable, but there's no reason for harsh criticism either. The place was quite busy, and yet the waiter was attentive in finding a table for us. We ordered a caprese salad and gnocchi: both were good and reasonably priced. As for the service, even with the place full, the waiting time for the dishes was adequate. The area doesn't offer many restaurant options, and therefore I consider the experience to have been fair. You can eat here comfortably, as long as you don't have high expectations.

13/09/2025: Everything about our experience at l'Orangerie was excellent! The ambiance begins as you approach the restaurant through the the pool area warmly illuminated with candles. We are reminded of the deep history of this special place as we pass by a small section of exposed ancient Roman ruins upon which the Hotel was built. The restaurant staff was highly professional, kind and very attentive. Equally high praise to the Chef and the entire kitchen team for the preparation and presentation of a fantastic culinary experience that pleased us on every level. Grazie mille l'Orangerie!!

30/08/2025: The food was mediocre at best! Service was really bad! We got the vegetarian pasta which was slightly undercooked and the fish with potatoes which was tasting ok but a little chewy. The overall service was horrible! We had 3 different servers asking us for food and each of them had no idea what we had ordered so it was a chaos. It showered last night which is not their fault and to be be fair they moved us to a covered space but only after insisting a few times. There was light flickering on the side which spoilt the whole "vibe" of the "fancy" restaurant. The complimentary bread which we got felt "stale" and "chewy". I would expect to get fresh warm bread when I am paying so much price for the food. They seem to make the food and experience so "pricey" but the experience which they offer in return is terrible! Would not recommend again.

31/10/2025: Came here 2 nights out of 3 in town as Carprese salad was best ive had. Calamari was top notch and both pasta dishes fantastic. The tagliolini was home made noodles.

08/03/2026: I happened to pass by downtown Sorrento in early March. The atmosphere isn't bad, with decent service, but unfortunately the food, especially the fried calamari and shrimp, isn't great.

08/03/2026: Dirt everywhere—tablecloths, glasses, plates... Old, rotten mushrooms on pizza, old baguettes, and bitter olive oil. Antipasti fried in old, stinking oil. And worst of all—warm beer in a dirty mug. And we didn't get a receipt because the register broke... RUN!

05/03/2026: It was the only place open and they let us sit down even though they were getting close to closing so we really appreciated that (hate to do that btw not something I normally do) but it was off-season so tons of places were not open even though Google said they were. Seafood risotto tasted like the ocean which was interesting but not my favorite, bread was a bit stale in the burrata appetizer otherwise good, my girlfriend had pasta, can't remember what it was but she liked it. Super friendly waiter he suggested a nice 1/2 bottle of Taurasi that was great. And he was very kind telling us to enjoy ourselves even though we felt bad it was late. We saw him again the next night next door and he was so happy he came over and gave us a kiss lol
