19/04/2025: My wife, son, and I visited La Lampara this evening on the recommendation of the owner of our holiday apartment, and the overall experience was fantastic! This turned out to be our very first restaurant visit in Calabria, and I have to say that they’ve set the bar very high indeed. The service was very friendly and welcoming. We did our best with our limited Italian, but the staff was very accommodating. My son, in true 10-year-old fashion, ordered patate fritte (fries) and fried calamari…he finished both and then ordered and ate a simple pasta dish with tomato sauce. I had the tuna steak breaded with pistachios, and my wife has the spaghetti with mixed seafood…both incredibly well-prepared and flavorful. We are moving on from Pizzo tomorrow, but if I had another night here, I would have gone back on a heartbeat. Bravissimo!!

13/04/2025: Excellent restaurant in Pizzo; We enjoyed the 6-course surprise menu "Sea" with the Calabrian wine accompaniment - Menu: Cozze with potatoes, beetroot stock and fennel, carpaccio of salmon with leek and peanut butter and quinoa, Polipo with carciofi and crunch, risotto with vongole and Mediterranean herbs, sepi spaghetti with mussel stock and bottarga, sea bass with truffle and fruit mayo, baba with Zabayone and chocolate nut, donuts - everything tasted very good; very attentive and competent service, nice ambience in the interior - it was still too fresh for the terrace - highly recommended, price-performance ratio more than suitable

18/04/2025: Nice restaurant located on the seafront in Pizzo. The staff is friendly but the service is slow. I ordered the lobster linguine but they served me a simple pasta with sauce with the shell next to it, costing €25, the dish must be ordered by at least two people. The appetizer, fried and grilled dishes were good. The outdoor space is accessible to disabled people. The inside is a little dark.

04/05/2025: We went for dinner and found a friendly and familiar atmosphere with helpful staff and a kind and friendly owner. We tasted fantastic local appetizers based on genuine products of the highest quality and very fresh local fish. All the pizzas were excellent, especially the "Iris" pizza with Mediterranean red shrimp that left us speechless for the triumph of flavors and innovative combinations. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended restaurant.

È stato tutto di nostro gradimento..peccato per i ravioli dove la riduzione di porcini sovrastava gli altri ingredienti e il pesce spada un pó asciutto...nel complesso ottimi piatti. Consigliato. Ritorneremo per assaggiare le altre preparazioni.

05/03/2025: Great location, elegant table setting, nothing to be faulted about the food. We ordered seafood: grilled swordfish, grilled local fish (this is how it appears on the menu, without specifying the species) and shrimps. A good Italian school of seafood preparation.
We also ordered local wine in a carafe - usually home-made, local wines are a bit less sophisticated, and here it was very good.

29/03/2025: Sono passato una sera da questo ristorante con i miei amici e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Abbiamo mangiato una pizza eccellente e saporita, con un servizio a modo e persone squisite. Ritorneremo sicuramente.
10/02/2025: Locale accogliente ,peccato per le portate non curate, per i prezzi alti alimenti non controllati, piatto cambiato perché era sporco, il limone della frittura era marcio,le tagliatelle era una cottura scotta,una colla,. Ogni commensale del mio gruppo ha dovuto cenare da solo perché le portate non hanno portate assieme, quindi ognuno di noi ha cenato da solo... in fine un conto salatissimo, che avrei speso volentieri se almeno avessi mangiato bene ,ma anche benino.

08/10/2023: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We visited on a bustling Sunday evening and enjoyed watching the community gather and friends meet up. My husband ordered a panini of meatball and eggplant. It was more of a calzone style. It was out of this world delicious. I ordered the carbonara which was very good although I missed the fresh parsley and black pepper. It was good enough that it didn’t warrant a complaint to the server. The house wine and salad was very nice.
We recommend.

30/04/2025: Was für eine Bereicherung für Bad Kissingen. Habe meine Frau besucht und mir wurde diese kleine kulinarische Oase empfohlen. Abgesehen von einer mega netten Chefin ist auch die Küche eine Reise durch Süditalien. Die Weinauswahl hat mich auch überrascht da vorallem die Preise mehr als fair sind. Wir werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

20/04/2025: Siamo stati a cena in questo locale a Pizzo Calabro per le nostre vacanze di Pasqua. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto misto di pesce, un primo a base di pesce e una zuppa di pesce. Tutto molto buono. Servizio eccellente e prezzi più che onesti. Il posto è molto bello vicino al mare, ed è tutto ben curato. Ci siamo innamorati degli alberi del parcheggio del locale, hanno tutti una forma a tettoia molto particolare.
