30/03/2024: Perhaps the biggest "rip off" in Tropea. 6 Euro per person "surprise" coperto for a plate of stale bread. Food is okay, but not fantastic and definitely not worth the price- 20+ Euro for a small plate of pasta. 25 Euro for a bottle of wine that costs half that price anywhere else. The atmosphere is nice with a beautiful view over the sea. That's what you are paying for. We have never seen a 6 Euro coperto anywhere in our 25+ years of traveling throughout Italy. Ridiculous. We live in Tropea and will not return here.

27/03/2024: EMPTY Restaurant, We arrived and ordered a rose wine from the region, when asking for the cork to keep as a souvenir, the owner simply threw the cork into the bucket without handing it to us, we ordered pumpkin soup with vongoli, two spoonfuls maximum, for 20 euros, wonderful, but tiny, then we ordered spaghetti with vongoli and granapadano, hard pasta, tiny dish for 26 euros, that is, my wife and I spent 117 euros, without dessert, and WE DO NOT RECOMMEND IT!!!!!,

23/09/2023: I try to enjoy a good pizza, especially in summer, whenever I can and at Antonio my expectations were not betrayed. The Donatella pizza is very good overall: the Nduja/Gorgonzola combination was spot on! The pasta - and the pizza - is not Neapolitan-style, that is, soft but tends more towards a certain consistency and crunchiness; but, regardless of everyone's tastes, the taste of the dough is very appreciable and combines with the taste of the components of the pizza. The service was quick and courteous. I think it's a good place to get pizza, as is visiting Parghelia.

17/09/2023: Eccellente in tutto dal vino all’antipasto e i primi sono abbondanti e saporiti. La location è molto accogliente il personale super efficiente. La pancetta e il capocollo con un sapore assurdo. Straconsigliato. I prezzi molto ragionevoli. Compimenti a tutti 😍

05/09/2023: Leider sehr touristisch. Tisch reserviert über unser Hotel. Man hatte das Gefühl schnell schnell abfertigen. Tisch muss neu besetzt werden. Nachdem die Vorspeise nach der Hauptspeise kam, denke ich respektloses Verhalten gehört nicht belohnt. War einmaliger Besuch .. schade .. noch dazu sprechen wir italienisch .. 😤😤

14/10/2023: After driving for an hour and a half to stop in a nightmare of a restaurant, I took fried calamari, not fresh but a good frozen one, even badly cooked, rubbery to eat, a generous splash of lemon, a poor dish, the draft beer is starting to taste sour the winter for the areas that only work in the summer the only thing not to criticize is the portion of chips that even a child could cook not to mention the bill a half fried calamari frozen 18 euros marked among other things on the receipt for mixed fry nice place but terrible food

04/04/2024: I just wanted to get what I ordered: a swordfish with tomatoes, capers and olives. But what I got was just a piece of fish (see pictures pls). Maybe the chef was not in the mood…🤔

02/04/2024: We were there yesterday with the family, we ate well and above all genuine food, average service. The only thing in my opinion are prices that are not in line as they are quite high.

20/10/2023: So very good food except the pizza with fried potatoes which you make with baked potatoes, the service 😬 but the environment is excellent I recommend it to you except for celiacs for the pizza since it only comes with gluten.

20/09/2023: Ogni volta che torniamo in vacanza a Parghelia, non manchiamo di andare a mangiare, un paio di volte, in questa trattoria tipica e dobbiamo dire, non rimaniamo mai delusi sia per l'accoglienza, il personale è gentile e premuroso, sia per l'ottima qualità dei piatti proposti. L'altra sera tra gli altri piatti scelti, abbiamo apprezzato le cozze alla diavola una freschissima orata cotta alla griglia, veramente ottima. Che dire se passate da queste parti, non vi resta altro che provare. Siamo sicuri che rimarrete soddisfatti. Michele e Giuditta ( da Genova)

19/09/2023: Allora ci abbiamo messo un po' a scrivere questa recensione proprio in virtù della nostra precedente esperienza. Quest'anno, memori della meravigliosa cena di 4 anni fa, siamo tornati da Tonino. Le quantità si sono notevolmente ridotte e i prezzi sono notevolmente cresciuti. Ad esempio nostro figlio ha preso una frittura mista che costava 20€ ... peccato che, in questa frittura c'erano 10 anellini (li abbiamo contati) fiduciosi abbiamo pensato fosse un caso quindi ne abbiamo preso una seconda, sempre 20€ sempre 10 anellini. Per fortuna fanno anche la pizza.... e la cena di nostro figlio ci è costata 50€.... E alla fine il conto era pure sbagliato si 4€. Qualche giorno dopo siamo andati in un altro locale dove con 16€ mio figlio ha mangiato una ottima frittura del peso approssimativo di 400gr. E mia moglie ed io con 22 abbiamo mangiato in due una frittura da 700 gr....

18/01/2024: Tutto perfetto . Servizio, qualità , prezzo Abbiamo mangiato dei fileja con nduja di altissimo livello . Pasta fatta in casa davvero di produzione artigianale ! Pollo alla brace ben cotto e gustosissimo e focaccia con un origano profumatissimo ed indiscutibilmente calabrese. Insomma davvero soddisfatti. Gentilissimo ed efficiente tutto lo staff. 08/10/2023: We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We visited on a bustling Sunday evening and enjoyed watching the community gather and friends meet up. My husband ordered a panini of meatball and eggplant. It was more of a calzone style. It was out of this world delicious. I ordered the carbonara which was very good although I missed the fresh parsley and black pepper. It was good enough that it didn’t warrant a complaint to the server. The house wine and salad was very nice. We recommend.

20/10/2023: Ci siamo trovati in questo ristorante fortemente consigliato dalla struttura ricettiva che ci ospitava. Buona parte del carattere basso della recensione è dovuta al fatto che durante la cena ci siamo accorti che la ragazza bionda che serviva ai tavoli di tanto in tanto si fermava ad accarezzare un cane immagino di amici al bordo del ristorante, nulla contro i cani che amiamo, ma non va bene se dopo aver accarezzato il cane ci porti i piatti a tavola senza neanche andare a lavare le mani. Per il resto non ho abbassato il punteggio ad 1 dato che durante l’ordinazione la stessa ha avuto l’accortezza di mutare l’assortimento del mio antipasto misto per via di una mia intolleranza. Per quanto riguarda i piatti: nella media l’antipasto e la grigliata con differenti tipologie di congelato, uno molto buono è uno un po’ scadente, il primo di terra con le cipolle obiettivamente basico, non valorizzava affatto gli ingredienti utilizzati. Conto abbastanza salato per un antipasto misto una grigliata di pesce (tutto standard) e un primo di pasta al pomodoro con un quarto di cipolla sopra, 2 bicchieri di vino al calice 1 acqua e 1 jefferson 80€, ma credetemi il conto è davvero l’ultima cosa, perché per delle buone portate ci sta anche, ma non per quello che abbiamo mangiato.

05/10/2023: Il miglio ristorante di Tropea! Si trova nel centro storico. Servizio davvero impeccabile. Il personale è molto attento e professionale. Cibo fresco e di altissima qualità, io e la mia ragazza abbiamo mangiato lì per ben tre sere di fila e abbiamo provato parecchi piatti uno più buono dell' altro! Ancora tantissimi complimenti allo Chef per averci deliziato della sua arte, a Karin per la sua educazione, professionalità e genitilezza! Consigliatissimo in tutto e per tutto Noi ci torneremo sicuramente!❤️

14/01/2024: Il 4 gennaio Abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per festeggiare insieme io e mio fratello i nostri compleanni e pensionamento con una magnifica cena con le nostre famiglie. Siamo rimasti molto soddisfatti dal servizio con camerieri molto professionali, e il cibo di qualità; ottimo antipasto di mare, paccheri all'astice cotti alla perfezione e saporiti, infine il secondo di pesce molto buono. Abbiamo trascorso una bellissima e indimenticabile serata fino a mezzanotte in bella compagnia, allietata dalla bella musica suonata con violino dalla bravissima violinista e nuora di mio fratello. Abbiamo apprezzato la disponibilità del titolare e di tutto lo staff, sono stati molto attenti alle nostre esigenze e ci hanno fatto sentire a nostro agio. Consigliatissimo, purtroppo abito a quasi 1000 Km di distanza, ma quando capiterà l'occasione, ci ritornerò.

01/11/2023: Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal und Hotelbesitzer. Ruhiger Ort mit schöner Aussicht zum Meer, leckerem Kaffee und Abendessen. Es herrscht eine familiäre Atmosphäre und wenn das Hotel nicht mehr voll ist, bekommt man ein Upgrade fürs Zimmer und Verpflegung, was wirklich zu schätzen ist. Es ist ein tierfreundliches Hotel, dort leben viele Katzen.

06/10/2023: Schöne kleine Bungalow Anlage in der Nähe von Tropea. Super Frühstück und Abendmenü, Appartements z.T. etwas in die Jahre gekommen - aber gut und praktisch eingerichtet. Toller Blick aufs Meer. Auto erforderlich, um zum Einkaufen oder nach Tropea (5km) zu kommen. Restaurants in S. Domenica überwiegend nur saisonal geöffnet, Supermärkte und Strände etwas außerhalb.
