If you decide to visit the Marche in the area between Pesaro and Urbino there is Gradara, a very characteristic medieval village, its fortress, the rooms where Paolo Malatesta and Francesca da Rimini met, the castle with all its story, the path of love, the walk of the patrol, is the whole story that surrounds it from Dante's canto V "Inferno"... Visited during the Christmas holidays it is all illuminated and characterized by songs and poetry...fascinating place of history and narratives...

08/01/2025: Very pleasant discovery... on the occasion of an unplanned trip... we met this fantastic pizzeria at the entrance to the village of Gradara, a very welcoming place, very kind staff and the amazing pizza 👍👍 even my child who has difficult tastes , he really liked it... I highly recommend a visit and tasting of the excellent pizzas on the menu, very varied and imaginative.

26/01/2025: Cibo molto buono, la tagliata e il lingotto erano speciali , morbidissimo entrambi. I dolci anche essi erano molto buoni peccato per il piccolo inconveniente della cipolla trovata nella mousse al caffè , abbiamo avvertito il cameriere del fatto e quando ha avvisato lo chef sembrava che avessimo inventato la cosa. Per il resto é davvero un ristorante molto valido e accogliente e i camerieri super gentili.

06/01/2025: We had a great time. Chosen by the reviews, we enter the restaurant with my wife and son. The table is prepared for us instantly. The environment is welcoming and warm. Maybe the plastic of the chairs clashes a little. The menu is well done and while my wife chooses the starter I take a look at the wine list. I choose Focara, a Pinot Noir from the Mancini Pesaro farm. A discovery for me. A really good balanced wine. After an appetizer of delicious bruschetta and appetizing polenta, my wife and son have tortelli in broth and I have a shank accompanied with baked potatoes. My goodness, how good was the shank. Obviously also the tortelli but my shank was super. The meat melted in your mouth. To finish, two desserts and grappa. Total €125. I am absolutely satisfied. I will recommend the place. Well done.

19/02/2025: Beautiful location, particular on several floors, beautiful view of the castle walls above, 3+1st medium rooms on the terrace, very intimate and tastefully detailed, downstairs a very large hall for several very modern ceremonies, play corner, children, and the gem is the wine tasting corner😍😍🍷🍷... The staff is attentive to everything and very approachable, the owner is very flexible on the communion conversation, on proposals/spaces/ideas... And then guys you have to try these delicious dishes, with beautiful garnishes, attentive to the eye, and of good quality. The bread, the piadina, the cappellacci, the ravioli, below there is the laboratory where you can go and see the star of the house... I highly recommend...

10/02/2025: Yesterday for lunch we went to this restaurant, but the experience was far from satisfactory. We were welcomed into an extremely dark room, illuminated by lights that flickered annoyingly, contributing to creating an uninviting atmosphere. service was surprisingly fast, but this positive aspect was not enough to compensate for the other critical issues. The first courses were served in decidedly unsatisfactory portions, while the second course, a Florentine, turned out to be a real nightmare: the meat was so hard to cut that it required considerable effort, resulting insipid and unappealing. Furthermore, the plate in which the meat was served had a clear trace of blood, probably due to an error during the preparation or a symptom of poor quality of the product. To conclude, we opted for a high-priced dessert (€7 each), contributing to a fairly large and out of place bill given what we ate. To further aggravate the situation, when we asked for information on the location of the cash register - located in a side room - a waitress reacted with an ironic and unprofessional tone, communicating our request to the manager in a completely inappropriate way and even laughing in front of us. But the negative experience continued beyond the meal: the next day I found myself spending the entire morning in the bathroom. Overall, a disappointing dining experience which, despite quick service, was ruined by poor cooking and poor hospitality. It deserves a rating of 2 out of 5.

07/10/2024: Avevo aspettative molto alte visto che si dice che questo chiosco sia un po’ un’istituzione in zona, ma la piadina non mi è piaciuta particolarmente. Ingredienti da supermercato, piadina troppo spessa e ben 2€ in più per l’impasto integrale… servizio anche molto lento.

13/01/2025: We stopped for a quick lunch on Epiphany day. We found a place without having to book. The place is small and welcoming. The cuisine is simple but appreciable. We spent 41 euros for 2 people taking 2 first courses, a piadina, a side dish, water and a coffee. Pleasant lunch, I recommend it.

03/01/2025: We blindly booked for New Year's Eve. They didn't have a big dinner, and that's what we wanted. Excellent food, welcoming place, atmosphere suitable for a medieval village, very kind staff. And the bill was a pleasant surprise. We'll be back

01/01/2025: Certamente trovare un ristorante aperto a pranzo il 1 gennaio è raro, soprattutto senza prenotare. Ordiniamo due cappelletti ( rivelatisi buonissimi) ma uno dei secondi richiesti era terminato (bisogna dirlo prima). Cambiamo ordinazione ma alla fine si dimenticano di portare l’altro secondo (che evitiamo di prendere). Concordo con chi ha scritto che i prezzi non sono da osteria

31/12/2024: Informal and welcoming tavern. The Bisci alla carbonara are a must order! Really unpleasant note about the wine: We order a bottle of Conventino red and it is brought to the table with the corkscrew already inserted and the cork 3/4 removed. The girl makes a gesture of tearing it away and drops it on the table, leaving quickly without saying anything. We've seen the same thing done at other tables. We didn't want to argue but the bottles must be brought closed and sealed, not topped up. Otherwise you could sell wine by the carafe for half the price.

27/01/2025: Nice place, very welcoming with friendly and helpful waiters. 2 of us had the appetizer crostini and a skewer, all very good and plentiful. A glass of wine, water, coffee and digestive. €70, of which €46 for the skewer. Medium-high expense according to my standards but everything was good. They certainly also charge for the location because it is a nice place in a beautiful village. There is. We waited a little too long for the skewer, we would have only taken that but the waiter warned us that we would have to wait 20-25 minutes and recommended the crostini for the wait, but then the skewer arrived after 50 minutes and not 25. However I recommend it.

04/02/2025: La Nuova Gradarina is a welcoming restaurant located in the heart of Gradara. The environment is rustic and familiar. The kitchen offers traditional Abruzzo dishes, pizzas with sourdough and grilled meat. The ingredients are fresh and quality. The service is attentive and the staff is friendly. Overall, a good restaurant with good value for money.

30/10/2024: In visita a Gradara, grazie ad un consiglio di un negoziante, ma già avevamo letto recensioni a riguardo, abbiamo scelto questo ristorante per pranzare. Bel locale, proprio di fianco alla rocca, ma subito fuori dalla mura di Gradara. Buon pesce, frittura croccante ed asciutta, ottimi gratinati... Personale cortese e puntuale, tutto molto bene.
