05/04/2024: We were very satisfied in this mountain hut in the past years, but today I was very surprised when I was looking forward to the "Palu" plate and they brought everything, 10 dkg of salami + 2 buns for 14 euros. I don't recommend it, as far as the food is concerned. Moreover, at peak times, after 1 p.m., you wait about 45 minutes for service, sitting patiently at a table inside, and then you give up and go stand in line for another 20 minutes.
30/03/2024: Cozy hut with simple but delicious cuisine. Since the winter of 2023/2024 with an equally nice host and waitresses. The price is not exorbitant; when it's busy you have to order at the counter.
The only drawback is the toilets😱. As always, this is not just up to the operator, but it would be nice if something were done.

20/08/2023: Bellissimo posto, curato con vista mozzafiato sul ghiacciaio dei Forni.
Ho messo 4 stelle perchè il personale pur essendo gentile - è molto freddo, mai un sorriso, viso cupo come se le dai fastidio (parlo di una signora, purtroppo non conosco il suo nome). Non ti senti accolta in questo luogo meraviglioso, non ti senti aspettata e desiderata come un cliente.
Prezzi più alti della media ma questo si può aspettare in un rifugio di alta quota, quindi non ci dava fastidio.
18/08/2023: Dopo ogni scarpinata che si rispetti il rifugio che ti accoglie e ti rifocilla è una coccola in più. Ma non sempre va bene. Questa volta però al rifugio Branca è stata un’esperienza a dir poco strepitosa! Piatti incredibili, la carne cotta e condita in maniera assolutamente ineccepibile, contorni e impiattamenti mai banali. I dolci poi, una meraviglia per il palato. Peccato sia a oltre 600 km da casa, altrimenti la scarpinata valeva una visita almeno a settimana! Complimenti a tutti, cuoci, staff e chiunque contribuisca a questa bellezza e bontà!

04/01/2024: Capodanno da favola, tutto organizzato nei minimi dettagli dal Sig.Beppe e il suo staff. Arrivo con ovovia aperitivo di pesce nell'igloo davvero suggestivo grandi buffet che venivano costantemente riassortiti, cena al tavolo con piatti davvero buoni il vino compreso nel prezzo e per finire gran buffet di dolci e oltre la mezzanotte cotechino e lenticchie.
Il tutto accompagnato dalla musica e splendidi fuochi d'artificio .
Esperienza unica da ripetere
31/08/2023: Appena saliti con la cabinovia d Santa Caterina , prima di fare la nostra gita, ci siamo fermati qui per il pranzo. Davvero bella location con un bel panorama, buona la cucina.

07/09/2023: Typical Alpine environment with very nice staff, you can taste typical dishes, refined cuisine, try the cream ice cream made with their milk and the shepherd's coffee.
It is located right on the Gavia road, just before the hairpin bend, there is a good car park and, for those with mobility problems, it is possible to take public transport up to the mountain hut (100 m from the road).
The starting and finishing point of hiking trails is MTB.
Possibility of overnight stay.
You can purchase home-produced dairy products, and teaching sessions are also held.
Good value for money, we always come back with pleasure.

22/02/2024: Scoperto per caso dopo una mattinata a ciaspolare. Locale ben curato e pulito. Servizio molto cordiale. Piatti abbondanti e ottimi. Entree offerta. Pizzoccheri buoni e ben conditi. Ottimo lo strudel. Esposti i trofei della mitica Deborah Compagnoni, di cui è proprietaria insieme al fratello.
Quando torneremo a Santa Caterina di sicuro faremo ancora tappa in questo ristorante.
16/02/2024: Siamo stati in questo ristorante con nostra figlia e i nostro cagnolino. Eravamo gli unici avventori poiché era molto presto.
La cameriera ci ha accolti con grande gentilezza portandoci subito un seggiolone per la bambina: dopo l’entrè di benvenuto siamo stati serviti con grande velocità e abbiamo mangiato davvero bene e in abbondanza.
La bellezza del ristorante ci ha lasciati senza parole: una meravigliosa stube capeggia in mezzo al salone donando un’atmosfera montana impagabile; gli interni in legno, i dettagli di arredo delle varie sale, la meraviglia delle vetrate e delle panche. Vorrei trasferirmi lì!
Lo consigliamo di cuore: accoglienza top, prezzi equi, ottima qualità!
Ci torneremo
