31/03/2024: I order a second course and a side dish specifying that I am gluten intolerant. The dishes arrive...... before eating I ask for confirmation that everything is OK. They assure me yes.
Discovery...... the gluten-free dishes arrive shortly after!!! But I've already started eating.....
The kitchen comes out to explain to me that these things don't happen to them and that they are organized in a precise way, etc... I'm angry and perplexed.
So at this point it's my fault for having eaten what they brought to the table, given that the kitchen doesn't make mistakes!?!!??
Conclusion of this unfortunate story is that I paid the bill for the food I left on the table and today I feel bad!!!!!
I would therefore like to thank this restaurant from the bottom of my heart, starting from whoever took charge up to the kitchen since these things never happen to them!!!!!
24/03/2024: The pizza is really delicious, but the service is terrible. I went with my husband to celebrate his birthday, the pizzas arrived 45 minutes after the order and above all not at the same time. When my husband's arrived I had already finished mine. The people sitting next to us had a similar experience, so it doesn't seem like an isolated mistake.
I wanted to book for a business dinner next week but I gave up.
It's a shame because I repeat that the pizza is very good.

31/03/2024: If there is anyone who can remind us what it means to feel the tasty and original flavor of giardiniera, mustard, cracklings, crackers, tortelli, focaccia, condiment sauces, leavened sweets, creams and desserts, but at the same time combine well-known flavors with a touch innovative and experimental, this is the group of young chefs at Scalco Grasso. Worth trying, for the care taken in the conception and preparation, the attention to every detail and the pleasure of eating delicacies.

28/04/2024: Minimal service but they added 1/1.50 euros for each coffee/piece of cake ordered. They told us it’s the service charge, crazy expensive.
27/04/2024: Fraud suffered.
2 of us sat down and paid 10 euros for 2 coffees and two mignons.
Coffee at the table 3 euros (price not indicated anywhere) and mignon marked 1 euro each we were charged two euros each. Next time instead of paying I'll call the financial police

02/04/2024: excellent experience, really good dishes: the risotto alla Mantovana is served directly from the pan and there is plenty of it. Delicious asparagus pie and chocolate salami rated 10, central trattoria and excellent service with really friendly guys.

03/05/2024: The food was excellent like if it was from Naples (I am from Naples) the waiters and waitresses were very funny, keeping us entrained and let us laught and for the atmosphere it was one of the best atmospheres in North Italy and I'm very happy with this restaurant, I would highly suggest it to everyone in Mantova.

Prezzi onesti… da rivisitare

31/03/2024: Listen, lady, you can see that you can go and work as a restaurateur for Caritas..you're not capable of it..but you can rightly be a cheater outside Naples..right in Mantua you succeeded, you're taking out canned fish if you had been in Naples they taught you the manners of going straight to Mantua. but please. Today's lunch was really disgusting. Rice of the lowest quality and also overcooked. The appetizer is a joke, the fish from the MD is also horrible and very scarce. If you work thinking of being smart I imagine you know what your destination will be: THE CLOSURE. A SHAME. You could have at least saved face with a few slices of dove taken from the discount stores you frequent when buying that rubbish you offer under the inappropriate name of fish.
24/03/2024: Cold in the room with the result of having dinner on the stomach.
At the end of dinner he doesn't even issue a receipt because he says his cash register is broken. So why doesn't he have paper receipts??
The fact is that you can't make people eat in the cold and make it seem like it's normal.
Never again, neither me nor my friends, given the rudeness of the young lady

14/01/2024: The best ice cream in all of Mantua, in my opinion.
Three Gambero Rosso cones and it's worth every one.
The choice of ice creams is decidedly varied and they are all excellent and creamy.
The place is small, I usually get the ice cream and eat it outside (in summer, for example, it's ideal).
25/11/2023: Very good everything. Especially the Piamonte hazelnut and the Persian pistachio!
Great service, very kind staff! Cheap prices for great quality.
I highly recommend!

02/04/2024: Small ice cream shop, overlooking Piazza Broletto in the historic center of Mantua. Very characteristic, clean and tidy. Very kind and helpful owners, very high quality ice cream, also vegan and for those with lactose intolerance. A good number of flavors to choose from (about fifteen), normal price (one flavor is two euros, two flavors are 3..)
21/03/2024: The famous Mantuan cannoncino with chocolate pudding, cream and whipped cream was a waffle with chocolate pudding covered in soggy cream, in short, badly made. I definitely won't go back

01/04/2024: Bad experience... after sitting down since they don't provide service at the counter, after half an hour of waiting I had to ask for the order and following a further half hour of waiting we were forced to leave without consuming! Despite the fact that inside there were staff immobile at the counter. Learn to work!
