16/05/2026: Absolutely delightful. A local spot somewhere in the mountains near Como. The lunches are fantastic, inexpensive, and delicious. Fully booked for weekend dinners. Large portions, plenty of meat and seafood, generous portions. Fast service. Friendly staff.

10/01/2026: An absolutely surreal and unacceptable experience, an evening I wouldn't wish on anyone.
We arrived at the restaurant 45 minutes late, solely because it's practically impossible to find on maps (a delay we notified the restaurant).
Once there, we were seated in a small room where a birthday party was taking place with about 30 people and music was playing at extremely loud volumes, a fact never disclosed when we booked.
We immediately asked to be moved to the next room, which was much quieter, but were initially denied.
At our table, we also found appetizers already served before our arrival, which we hadn't ordered, without anyone having informed us of the set menu.
At that point, we asked to speak to the owner, who arrived visibly annoyed and briskly told us that it was possible to change rooms, making a hand gesture that clearly implied "follow me or leave."
This kind of behavior is totally unacceptable for anyone who works in contact with the public. Given the situation and the behavior, we decide to leave.
It doesn't end there: we are chased inside the restaurant, where we again explain the absurdity of the situation and why we prefer to leave.
Once we leave, while we're simply looking for another place to eat, we are chased a second time by the owner, who starts yelling in the street. Only after we ask her to tone it down does she claim that we "misunderstood" and that the gesture simply meant to indicate a change of room. In our opinion, the gesture was all too clear.
The situation escalates further: about ten birthday guests chase us to the car, open the doors, threaten us, spit on the car, and hurl gross insults at us. Ten people against two, with a total lack of respect and civility.
A very serious, intimidating, and illogical experience that goes far beyond a simple negative review. The restaurant and staff are completely out of control, an evening to forget and, in our opinion, worthy of a criminal complaint.
29/12/2025: Always a sure thing! Traditional, home-cooked food, plenty of wine, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere!

03/05/2026: We went to Il Pescatore Restaurant for lunch without a reservation, and despite it being very busy, the welcome was impeccable.
The place was packed, but the staff was incredibly kind: they offered us two glasses of wine while we waited, and soon found us a stunning table for two with a sea view. A simple gesture, but one that really makes a difference.
The experience was beyond positive. We trusted their recommendations and started with a tasting of appetizers (six different types), all very good and carefully prepared. This was followed by spaghetti allo scoglio for two: an excellent dish, very fresh fish, and truly well-balanced flavors.
The service was always attentive and friendly, from the owner to the waiters, all very helpful and professional.
The prices were slightly above average, but absolutely in line considering the quality of the food, the freshness of the ingredients, and especially the seafront location, which is definitely worth the experience.
Overall, a very pleasant lunch — recommended 👍🌊🍝
27/04/2026: Stayed in the B&B for two nights and also ate at the restaurant. Both were amazing! The view from the room, just wow!! Very kind owner Patrizia who helped us with everything and Francesco in the restaurant who explained the food and the history behind it. Strongly recommend both’

12/04/2026: One of those old-fashioned places, in a good way. We arrived by boat, and that alone creates a certain atmosphere; then you sit down, a view of the lake, white tablecloths, glasses, discreet service. Everything is coherent, nothing forced.
The menu doesn't have a thousand confusing options: a few well-chosen dishes, in keeping with tradition and the place.
These are rare places, especially in this area where mass tourism has transformed many establishments into something anonymous and interchangeable.

30/06/2025: Siamo stati in questo rifugio su indicazione di un mio collega appassionato di escursioni e devo ringraziarlo per il consiglio. Dal rifugio si gode di una vista spettacolare tra le montagne e il Lario nel versante di Lecco. Il titolare Italo e tutto lo staff sono gentilissimi e simpaticissimi mettendo subito a loro agio i clienti. Il cibo è squisito e le porzioni abbondanti, consiglio in particolare le costine. Compliment
16/06/2025: Adoro questo rifugio! Il loro Gulash è buonissimo così come la polenta uncia. Con i miei amici ci arriviamo a piedi (circa 1 ora buona) dalla Colma di Sormano per un sentiero molto bello. Se ci andiamo di sera d'estate il tutto si trasforma in una bella camminata in notturna! Possibilità di pernottamento.

28/04/2025: Il locale era pulito e accogliente. La ragazza che ci ha accolto e assistito durante il pasto è stata bravissima. È stata attenta, gentile e si è assicurata che non ci mancasse nulla. Il cibo era buono e il servizio veloce. Consiglio questo ristorante a chi cerca un posto tranquillo e piacevole dove mangiare.
26/04/2025: Personale molto maleducato, scortese (le due ragazze che servivano i tavoli)
Abbiamo fatto la camminata io , mio marito e mia figlia di 4 anni per arrivare al rifugio.
Una volta arrivati , cortesemente abbiamo chiesto se era possibile mangiare senza prenotazione .
Con molto sgarbo ci hanno detto di no perché non c’erano posti liberi. E fin lì tutto ok.
In seguito abbiamo chiesto sempre alle 2 ragazze se fosse possibile far fare SOLO per la bambina di 4 anni un piatto di pasta bianco o un panino che lo avrebbe mangiato sull’erba senza occupare nussun posto prenotato visto che ha camminato ore per arrivare lì , e ci è stato detto un’altra NO.
Io dico solo CHE SCHIFO .

07/04/2025: Accueil chaleureux dans un restaurant chez l’habitante, niché dans un petit village. Nous avons même été surpris de ne pas voir de devanture — une véritable adresse confidentielle !
Une fois à l’intérieur, on découvre un lieu atypique, presque insolite, à l’ambiance tamisée, parfaite pour un dîner en amoureux ou un moment en famille dont on se souviendra longtemps.
La patronne est d’une gentillesse incroyable, attentionnée et généreuse.
Le rapport qualité-prix est imbattable : pas de carte, mais un menu fait maison avec (2 entrées , 2 plats , 1 dessert) accompagné d’une bouteille de vin, d’eau pétillante, d’un café et même d’un digestif… le tout pour seulement 40 €. Les assiettes sont généreuses, et on repart le ventre (et le cœur) bien remplis.

24/10/2025: I happened to stop by for lunch during a bike ride after tackling the Sant'Antonio Pass. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, the kindness of the owners, and the absolutely fair price. Homemade pasta, nosecc (a type of pasta with ham and vegetables preserved in oil), all delicious. I'll be back as soon as I can.
17/08/2025: We just returned from a lovely trip to this remote yet relaxing spot. We spent a fair amount of money and enjoyed a first course, second course, and side dish. The owner was very kind.

26/08/2025: August 2025. Very clean and tidy food truck in idyllic setting. Pretty white / tiled tables, pristine parasols, and decent comfortable chairs.
Fresh vegetarian burger tasted great, and gracefully served.
Cold sparkling prosecco €4.
and espresso cafe €1.
Iced fruit popsicle €1.50
The “truck”, cabin, is sat in the sun-shade on the lawn next to the pier / little port of Faggetto.
On the other side of the green grass, there’s two swing sets face the waters of Lake Como and there’s a slide for the little ones. Lots of benches, and trees for shade. Soundtrack from the bells of the village clock striking the half hour. Beach, stony but sparsely populated just meters away. Italian voices and waves are the main soundtrack on the cool breeze.. All open air and free.
