08/08/2024: Every time I go to Materia I'm happy. Well yes: I love eating and having a restaurant so close to home fills me with joy, especially for business lunches, which are not very "demanding" where with an absolutely reasonable amount you can afford to have lunch in a starred restaurant. The new location is particularly intriguing and inviting and today, for the first time thanks to the school holidays, I brought my little girl who I am trying to accustom more and more to the journeys of taste. Today the menu offered risotto with green bean and tarragon cream, pasta ditalini with venison ragout, chicken leg on a bed of polenta and mussel and cherry tomato stew. The marrow and saffron are inevitable. My daughter was also very satisfied with the menu where, however, the flavors offered can be difficult for the little ones. 16/07/2024: It was an excellent value for the experience. Service was excellent. We went with the chef choice 5 course. Myself I had the full course. Not every dish was to my flavor palette but they were all creative and delicious. I did the saffron risotto and the bite sized introductory course because they were designed to be consumed linearly.

02/08/2024: Food was amazing, tasted so good, they still catered for us regarding taking food away and prioritised us to the max even considering the fact the venue was full and they had no room for food. Cute little hidden place, always amazing service even if they are busy. 100% recommend ❤️

12/08/2024: Came by here by chance. Warm welcome, water for our dog. Unfortunately it was very hot, no air conditioning or fan. Food was very good. Pizza and lamb chops. Just as it should be, honest Italian cuisine.

24/07/2024: The food was delicious, and I agree with another user's review that the restaurant deserves a Michelin star. We ordered the beef tartare, steak and tuna, and they were cooked to perfection. However, the service did not match the quality of the food. It took about 20 minutes to receive the menu upon arrival and another 15 minutes to order drinks. After asking for the bill, we waited an additional 20 minutes. There was a senior staff member trying to handle everything while a junior staff member focused on cleaning. The slow service may have been due to the junior member being in training or not being fluent in English, so this might have been just our experience.

30/07/2024: En helt forrygende oplevelse. Vi havde valgt restauranten da den lå i gåafstand fra vores dejlige Hotel Asnigo. Vi sad udendørs i de skønneste omgivelser med udsigt til Como søen. Til forretter fik vi den skønneste foie gras med figen marmelade, en super tatar med lidt sprøde toast, samt en ret med Buratta grillede peberfrugt og tomater. Hertil fik vi en super velsmagende hvidvin fra Sicilien. Til hovedret fik 2 af os den bedste pastaret vi til dato har smagt, Casio e Pepe, en super lækker cremet pastaret serveret med dejlig rødvin fra Toscana. Vores koner fik også en meget velsmagende ret med vilde ris og grillet andebryst. Maden, atmosfæren, betjeningen og vinen var i topklasse, så vi valgte også at spise der dagen efter igen, og her var niveauet på samme niveau. Vi fik også en god snak med en af ejerne som fortalte om stedets historie. Un'esperienza assolutamente fantastica. Avevamo scelto il ristorante perché era a pochi passi dal nostro delizioso Hotel Asnigo. Ci siamo seduti all'aperto in un ambiente bellissimo con vista sul Lago di Como. Per cominciare abbiamo mangiato un meraviglioso foie gras con marmellata di fichi, una super tartare con crostini croccanti e un piatto con Buratta peperoni e pomodorini grigliati. Abbiamo anche preso un vino bianco super gustoso dalla Sicilia. Per la portata principale, 2 di noi hanno mangiato il miglior piatto di pasta che abbiamo assaggiato fino ad oggi, Casio e Pepe, un piatto di pasta cremoso super delizioso servito con un delizioso vino rosso toscano. Le nostre mogli avevano anche un piatto molto gustoso di riso selvatico e petto d'anatra alla griglia. Il cibo, l'atmosfera, il servizio e il vino erano di prima classe, quindi abbiamo scelto di mangiare lì anche il giorno dopo, e qui il livello era allo stesso livello. Abbiamo anche fatto una bella chiacchierata con uno dei proprietari che ci ha parlato del posto storia.

24/07/2024: Simply excellent - they deserve a Michelin star (and I suspect will get one soon)! We did the North to South tasting menu and the flavours and textures were fantastic. The suckling pig was extraordinary - soft like butter. After being a bit disappointed by Kitchen (has 1* and also in Cernobbio), this was a very positive surprise. I'd definitely recommend Casa Perrotta tasting menu (at a reasonable Eur 75) over Kitchen (Eur 115 and underwhelming on flavours).

21/07/2024: Willing and kind kids who can/must grow up. Only in a few cases do the dishes have the wow effect that is sought in fine dining. Good value for money.
