24/12/2024: Small bakery - pastry shop in the heart of Maderno. Here you will find a wide selection of breads, savory foods and desserts. Next to the pastry shop there is a small garden with some seats. Faced with this; a room with toilets. I usually go there to buy a couple of donuts (they have various flavours). The staff who work there are very kind.

12/12/2024: Carlo pastry shop is synonymous with high quality at a good price. A guarantee. For years now he has been a fixed point for children's birthday cakes and every time he manages to amaze with his creations. Great attention to serving and satisfying customer requests.

14/01/2025: We always love returning to “La Cucineria”. The food is excellent and every time we are surprised by new seasonal dishes. The fish and seafood specialties are unmissable, and the wine selection is impeccable. The service is always friendly and attentive, making every visit a pleasure.

13/02/2025: Found by chance looking from the maps, beautiful typical restaurant environment, very friendly and joking staff. Excellent appetizers (cured meats and giardiniera), as a first course pasta with mushrooms, good and light. Worth noting is the delicious oil included in the cover charge.

25/01/2025: Locale caldo e accogliente, con vista spettacolare sul lago e personale gentile e attento alle necessità del cliente. Ottima la pizza alla griglia con stracciatella e acciughe, pane e grissini di produzione propria. Entratina deliziosa offerta dalla casa. Primo di tortelli allo spiedo su letto di polenta cremosa, ottima combinazione. Insalata freschissima. Caffè accompagnato da biscottini artigianali di loro produzione, amato alle erbe tipico bresciano. Ci hanno regalato il pane da portare come merenda, una coccola dietro l’altra.

12/11/2024: …mi sono fermata per caso in questo locale!!…di passaggio in questo zona…ho chiesto dove era possibile mangiare lo spiedo fatto bene!!…e mi è stato fatto il nome di questo ristorante poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…in collina!!…in località Gaino!!…è “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…la location si trova in una posizione fantastica!!…pace e tranquillità!!…locale semplice ma veramente intimo e accogliente!!…molto gentile la signora e la ragazza che lavorano in sala!!…dopo avere fatto l’aperitivo ci siamo seduti al tavolo!!…e poi è arrivato lo spiedo!!…con la polenta!!…le patate e insalata mista!!…il tutto accompagnato da acqua e vino rosso!!…poi il sorbetto e a seguire il caffè!!…la signora ha gentilmente offerto il limoncello!!…che chiaramente ho apprezzato molto!!…che dire!!…lo spiedo era veramente eccezionale!!…cotto al punto giusto!!…tutto ben curato!!…come pure i contorni!!…ma che bontà!!…e tornerò sicuramente di nuovo in questa “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…🧑‍🍳🍽️🔝💯‼️

10/02/2025: Locals eat here. I saw parking full of trucks and restaurant full of People in the middle of february that is off sezon. No marbles here but food was very very good.

06/02/2025: Great value pizza/pasta restaurant, our total bill for 2 small beers, water, 2 plates of pasta and 2 side dishes came to 37 euro. Staff were all excellent. Would highly recommend.
