Homemade Giardiniera worth framing, the tagliatelle with mushrooms are good and the fregolotta with grappa is excellent. Life tip: park before entering the town because the streets are very narrow!!

04/01/2025: Found by chance on the return journey, this restaurant won us over, starting from the professionalism of the courteous and friendly owner and the quality of the food offered. Excellent Giardiniera, good tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, fantastic whitefish and excellent baked potatoes. Exceptional amaretti and almond tart. Finally, the bill was a truly pleasant surprise. Thank you

15/01/2025: I went for a work lunch break. Fixed menu at €13 excluding coffee. The place is very nice, clean and with these large windows that let in a lot of light. I ate well and the service was friendly and timely. Only flaw, little choice, 2 first courses and 2 second courses. They give you the side dish, 3 different tastings, too bad I only liked one of the 3, if they had asked me I would have told them to leave the other two alone. Less waste was avoided and the customer was more satisfied. Overall. 👌

09/10/2024: Magnificent restaurant with incredible views of Lake Garda. I didn't eat anything here, just relaxed and drank some Tegernsee beer and it was wonderful. Ambiance very modern and cozy. The restaurant is an insider tip.

12/11/2024: …mi sono fermata per caso in questo locale!!…di passaggio in questo zona…ho chiesto dove era possibile mangiare lo spiedo fatto bene!!…e mi è stato fatto il nome di questo ristorante poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…in collina!!…in località Gaino!!…è “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…la location si trova in una posizione fantastica!!…pace e tranquillità!!…locale semplice ma veramente intimo e accogliente!!…molto gentile la signora e la ragazza che lavorano in sala!!…dopo avere fatto l’aperitivo ci siamo seduti al tavolo!!…e poi è arrivato lo spiedo!!…con la polenta!!…le patate e insalata mista!!…il tutto accompagnato da acqua e vino rosso!!…poi il sorbetto e a seguire il caffè!!…la signora ha gentilmente offerto il limoncello!!…che chiaramente ho apprezzato molto!!…che dire!!…lo spiedo era veramente eccezionale!!…cotto al punto giusto!!…tutto ben curato!!…come pure i contorni!!…ma che bontà!!…e tornerò sicuramente di nuovo in questa “Osteria ai Cantagai”!!…poco lontano da Toscolano Maderno!!…🧑‍🍳🍽️🔝💯‼️
