Osteria Gatto d'Oro In Toscolano-maderno

A very interesting osteria; the food was excellent, and the decor was intriguing. They had a variety of balsamic vinegars. The owner and her mother were both very friendly. It's a must-see and definitely worth trying. You even have our recommendation from our teenager, who had the purple pasta.

We and our dog received a very warm welcome. Our Lotti was immediately given a bowl of fresh water and a small dish of treats. Our drinks were served very elegantly, and the dishes were excellent and of top quality. Being the curious person I am, I ordered something completely new: blueberry tagliatelle with tomatoes and bacon. You absolutely must try it; this combination is divine.

Il Gatto d'Oro is a very elegant restaurant, with outdoor seating, silverware and lace, and a single leitmotif: cats! The food is exquisite, especially the first courses, but the generous second courses and typical local appetizers are also worth a try because they are so special. And let's not forget the wide selection of wines and spirits. Finally, the service is truly superb; with Ada and Sabina, you feel right at home!

This was one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. The culinary offerings are truly exceptional, and the service and owner deserve top marks. The ambiance is simply unique and incredible. We were completely satisfied. The restaurant and the food deserve a Michelin star. Simply WOW.

The food is very good and the place is very special. We had a lovely evening as a family, feeling right at home. It's an expensive place, and we knew what to expect, but I think charging around 7 euros for water or a Coke is excessive; it borders on outrageous. It's a shame; it mars an otherwise idyllic experience.

It's true, it's an important place, and that might be a limitation, but then you walk in and everything envelops you... Time transports you to the splendor of the 1920s, with spectacular chandeliers, silver candelabras, blown glassware, embroidered tablecloths with antique furniture, walls rich in history, and pleasant background music. It's not "my" place, but it can't help but captivate me and put me at ease. I open the menu and the prices shock me! However, the €10 glass of wine turns out to be a balloon as big as my face, twice the normal volume (an excellent Montepulciano, by the way). I smile at my friend as we choose two first courses from the many available for €25, but when the tagliatelle with black Garda truffle (generously distributed) and the award-winning homemade pasta with grapes, blueberries, and crispy pancetta arrive, we can't help but share a stunned grimace. Mrs. Sabina (I hope I'm not mistaken) is the added value. She loves her job; she advises, describes, and accompanies you throughout the evening, but always...on tiptoe. In the end, when you've truly had a great time, even the cost becomes secondary. You've treated yourself to an experience, a "pampering" that will remain in your memory.

The hospitality was exceptional, both for me and my dog, and the piano music accompanied a delicious solo lunch. The blueberry tagliolini with grape tomatoes and pancetta was truly memorable; I've never tasted such quality and care. Thanks for the experience, I recommend trying Osteria Gatto d'oro.

I was looking for a place for a special evening, and Gatto d'Oro won me over. In addition to the delicious dishes, we really appreciated the careful selection of wines. Sipping a full-bodied red in such a refined and welcoming atmosphere was the ultimate relaxation. The service is knowledgeable and can recommend the right bottle for every taste.
