In my personal opinion, there was too much fish compared to meat, but only because I'm not a particular fan of fish.
We'll definitely return.

21/10/2025: Delicious food, a unique atmosphere, and an owner who makes you smile – that's the perfect way to describe our stay at Al Borgo Antico.
We ordered three pizzas and didn't have to wait long. After just a few minutes, the appetizers arrived – olives and focaccia – and the pizza arrived in a maximum of 8 minutes. Finally, when we were completely stuffed, the owner offered us some porchetta and focaccia.

11/11/2025: A historic place where even the walls exude it, with designs left over from time. The air of engines with ties to the Mille Miglia, and its longevity is undoubtedly thanks to the entire kitchen staff, who prepare food as it once was—even the "banal" mashed potatoes are an experience—and the cheerful and competent table service. An excellent Sunday discovery.
05/11/2025: Highly recommended as one of the local restaurants. Have been to 4 restaurants while staying at Franciacorta.
Ranked 1st: Osteria Quattro Rose (scrumptious food & value for money)
2nd: Miramonti l’altro - 2 star Michelin (it’s a Michelin, what do you think)
3rd: Ristorante La Dana Bianca (excellent experience of a local restaurant, with a fair price. Open 3-4 days a week, check before you go.)
4th: Al Monto (similar price as Miramonti l’altro, but different experiences)

13/11/2025: Cozy, friendly staff, nice home-made dishes. All stars for a good Italian dinner. Price is little on the higher end but you do get what you pay for.
12/11/2025: A lovely restaurant in the center of Rovato, well-prepared cuisine and a well-kept space. The dishes are tasty and traditional. My palate is just a stone's throw away, especially the main courses. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

09/12/2025: Ridiculous prices: €20 for half a pizza... as if it were made of gold. Delivery was an hour late, and it arrived freezing cold... probably good, but inedible in this condition. It ruined our evening (11:00 PM).
06/12/2025: Small pizza and more expensive than competitors, sitting in front of the door on a high stool, €2.50 cover charge seems excessive to me... the water in front of the fridge is marked at €1 and as if by magic at the table it becomes €1.50

12/11/2025: A refined contemporary location and excellent cuisine, light, delicious, innovative, elegant in appearance, I chose the trail route, but you can also choose à la carte. Everything was unforgettable, the hot and cold tiramisu and the caramel eclair were ecstatic. Praise to the chef.

The dishes are very generous, but in my opinion, the place really needs a makeover.
01/12/2025: Horrific experience! When a friend who's lactose intolerant asked about tiramisu, the waitress confirmed it was lactose-free. When the dessert was delivered, it was presented with a scoop of whipped cream on top. When asked for an explanation, the reiterated response was, "Tiramisu is lactose-free..." Despite the polite explanation that no one had asked for whipped cream, and that we had specifically asked for it before ordering, the reply was always the same, "Tiramisu is lactose-free."
INDECENT!!!!

18/10/2025: A larger and more welcoming spot than others, the piadina is served on a small wooden tray rather than by hand, and the staff are friendly.
The only flaw is that the window display is broken.
