Al Maló In Rovato

Well done. Top cuisine and beautiful wine list. Definitely drink Franciacorta. Or in any case ask the sommelier who is very knowledgeable, very on point. Super recommended.

Al Malò is a modern restaurant, run by forward-thinking young people who offer contemporary, innovative and intuitive cuisine! A sophisticated place, but at the same time familiar! Perfect staff in every way and food that truly inspires, from the entrées to the small pastries, from the starters to the main courses... a feast for the taste buds! Excellent wine list. Highly recommended!

The place is really lovely, high class PetFriendly restaurant. The staff is very kind and friendly, always available and attentive in the presentation of the dishes. The dishes were truly exquisite. I don't know if we had a slightly "bad" evening or not... But unfortunately the waiting times were truly endless... A shame because this affected the evening a bit. The value for money is not bad, perhaps a little expensive if we want to be meticulous but the flavors are definitely worth it. Advised!

I don't think there is any reason to complain, because everything was perfect. Guys who, starting from the bar to the restaurant, know how to work with passion, enthusiasm, professionalism and competence. The waitress was very kind, the food was excellent, the wine pairings were excellent. The bar and cocktail sector allowed us to taste three gems, even though we are not particularly fond of them, but here we are talking about mixology, a step higher than the usual aperitif. Definitely worth taking into consideration. A little pricey, but we were aware of it and the quality of the raw materials and the creativity that can be felt on the palate, the refined environment which is practically part of the magnificent Piazza Cavour in Rovato justifies the price. Well done, good, good.

What can be said? It's been a while since I wrote a review because it simply wasn't worth it. But for Al Maló it's definitely worth it. The environment is cared for in every detail, the mirrored ceiling, the marble tables, the wallpaper with the ruling monkeys, the cutlery, everything is harmonious and contributes to giving character to the place. The service is simply first class. From the owners to the staff they are all highly trained, efficient and very helpful. The ability to have managed to make a much sought after environment and service "familiar" is a plus that cannot be ignored. The selection of wines is complete, of high quality, it is difficult not to find something to your taste and impossible not to find the right subscription, especially by getting advice. The courses offered are absolutely refined, both in presentation and in ingredients, but always with the aim of achieving maximum harmony and never with the sole aim of appearing. High quality raw materials treated with skill. The barbecue beetroot deserves a special mention, a real pleasure first for the visit, then for the sense of smell and finally for the taste, congratulations. Absolutely recommended to book in advance.

Premesso che a certe cose, darei tranquillamente l’eccellenza, ce ne sono alcune altre purtroppo che invece un po’ risultano “fastidiose”. Eccellente il servizio. Ti senti davvero coccolato in questo locale. Le attenzioni non mancano da parte di nessuno. E questo è davvero apprezzabile. Eccellente è la location (per dirla alla Borghese). Parte bar e bistrò al piano inferiore e sala ristorante a quello superiore con una bella vista sulla piazza di Rovato. In questo periodo si gode della vista di uno splendido albero di Natale. Eccellente la carta dei vini dove c’è davvero da perdersi. Cosa mi ha lasciato un po’ perplesso? Intanto la cucina. Per carità. Tutti piatti studiati, si vede anche dall’impiattamento che c’è ricerca in ciò che si propone. A mio modestissimo avviso, ma probabilmente è il mio palato a non essere tanto raffinato, alcuni abbinamenti sono talmente complicati da risultare “forzati”. Non voglio arrivare a dire che ci sia quasi voglia di un ritorno alla tradizione. La cucina è arte e come tale va rinnovata, va rivista, va reinterpretata. Qui mi sembra si sia andati un po’ oltre. Quando in una portata si fa fatica a ricordare quanti e quali siano i tanti ingredienti, ecco, quello penso sia un po’ il raggiungimento di un limite. Detto ciò, non posso certo affermare di aver mangiato male. Anzi. Altra cosa, i prezzi. La lista dei vini come detto è molto completa e per tenerla aggiornata sicuramente ci sono dei costi importanti ma che non necessariamente devono ricadere sui clienti. Il 300% in alcuni casi mi lascia davvero perplesso. Anche il coperto a 5€ mi pare un po’ caretto. Credo sia la prima volta mi capiti. Non da ultimo, l’aperitivo di benvenuto. Non che il termine benvenuto debba necessariamente significare “offerto dalla casa” ma nemmeno arrivare ai 13€ a calice per un Franciacorta la cui bottiglia si è già bella e che ripagata con il nostro aperitivo di benvenuto. Ripeto non discuto sulla qualità. Ma girando la zona spesso, un po’ I prezzi li conosco. È brutto dover mettere in condizione la gente di cercare la bottiglia che costa meno… un po’ meno ricarico servirebbe a loro per avere più giro e ai clienti per fare scelte meno vincolate. Sui piatti stesso discorso. Hanno inventato questa bella cosa della mezza porzione che magari, vista così, potrebbe servire per poter assaggiare più roba. Dico solo che se avendo fatto una cena con un buon 70/80% di “mezze porzioni” siamo arrivati a spendere quasi 190€ in due…insomma. Bravi comunque perché il successo che stanno riscuotendo penso sia dovuto in buonissima parte a loro come titolari, staff, personale di sala. Qualcosa di più accessibile probabilmente li farebbe esplodere. Ma questa, ovviamente, è una mia personalissima opinione.

Sono stato in questo ristorante per un veloce pranzo di lavoro e ci siamo trovati molto bene. Locale carino e accogliente, servizio preciso e cordiali. Siamo stai accolti con una sfiziosa entre e abbiamo provato una fantastica melanzana arrostita e 3 prima strepitosi, ravioli alla carbonara, gnocchi e spaghetti. A74
