04/01/2026: The pizza was top-notch, and the seafood scialatello was divine. It's just a shame they moved us to the back room, which was freezing cold. Two families with children who did nothing but cry, a group of very noisy kids who were shouting even while ordering, and the inevitable dog following other customers who clearly can't eat without forcing their pets on everyone else, quickly joined us.

29/12/2025: Dinner for two with a mixed Ligurian antipasto (everything was excellent, from the Russian salad to the veal with tuna sauce, which reminded me of my mother's cooking, to a sampling of the formaggella cheese and savory pie), mussel and clam stew, trofie with pesto, green beans and potatoes, and the whole wheat De Vuè pizza. The focaccia was delicious, as was the serving, but the bread was less so (just to find a small point of improvement). Thank you. In a world where it's becoming fashionable to overcharge for something you're not always capable of making, accidentally meeting someone who knows how to do it well and does it simply (a small but tastefully decorated place, warm enough for the cold season, and with discreet service) and without losing sight of the customer's budget deserves five stars. No photos, we prioritized the tasting, but go with peace of mind.

For example, the warm chicken with mushrooms. The carpaccio with apples was a really great idea, and the service was friendly. We look forward to our next visit.

14/09/2025: The fried food was excellent, a rarity to find such a variety and abundance. Trofie with pesto was delicious. It was a shame I missed the vegetable flan with Parmesan fondue; I think it was a frozen product. In any case, it lacked the attention to ingredients and flavor that the other two dishes displayed. The lady in the dining room was kind and welcoming. In short, the restaurant is worth a visit, but be careful with your choices.

15/12/2025: A warm welcome with a delicious welcome appetizer, consisting of four zeppoline with sweet and sour sauce. We had a Quattro Stagioni and a Delicious one. Personally, I didn't like my Quattro Stagioni; the quality of the ingredients used to top the pizza could be improved. However, the Delicious one had slightly salty tomato sauce. Despite our experience, I'd like to point out that the owner was very kind; we arrived without a reservation, and the service was very fast. Congratulations!

11/12/2025: Highly recommended! Every time I visit Savona, I stop at Ristorante Conchiglia. The food from the kitchen and pizza oven is world-class! The service is friendly, and the prices (I'm used to Swiss prices...) are very fair and Italian. The owner even speaks German. See you soon! PS: Ignore the 1-star reviews; they're all made up and fake. Nobody waits 15 minutes at Conchiglia to be seated or waits for service (which is certainly not unfriendly) when there are free tables! Someone is lying through their teeth.

20/08/2025: A place with a strong personality, thanks to Marcello. He's the owner, bartender, chef, and entertainer. Friendly, professional, and competent. I often wonder why so many of the more fake and low-quality places on the Vado coast have packed tables, while La Botte seems to thrive on local aficionados, when it deserves more recognition. But then again... We're in a country going astray.

The farinata was decent, but the gorgonzola on top definitely needs to be sweeter and melt better, and the cured meats should be sliced ​​thinner. The mixed antipasto was a no-no (you can't even put a tiny slice of brie... at least a small piece of seasoned cheese). Even the highly praised desserts didn't wow me. What can I say about the place... a few seats could be changed. Polite staff.
