22/11/2025: La Taverna dei Frati is a restaurant located in SORIANO nel CIMINO, in the province of VITERBO. The restaurant is housed in a former monastery, which offers a charming atmosphere. In the summer, it also offers a terrace with panoramic views of the city.
The dishes served are carefully prepared and of excellent quality. Among the most popular are dishes such as strozzapreti all'aglione, puff pastry with porcini mushrooms and taleggio cheese, and dishes featuring typical local products such as chestnuts.
The staff is also friendly, professional, and attentive.
The restaurant is easy to find and close to convenient parking. Good value for money.

17/10/2025: Perfect spot for a takeout lunch on my last day in town! I’m sorry I didn’t find it sooner!
There’s a buffet style set up with all of the dishes spread out on a counter top. You choose what you would like and they dish it out and heat it up (and in my case pack it up).
I ordered chicory greens, a baked seasoned pumpkin dish, a couple of chicken wings(why does chicken in Europe taste so much better than in the United States?!?), ravioli, lasagna and cannelloni and OMG everything was so delicious! I don’t leave a lot of reviews but I HAD to for this place!
If you’re ever in town, you should check it out. I didn’t ask, but I got the feeling that they use a lot of local ingredients. Oh, and it’s really affordable. 15 € for all of that and I could only eat half of what I got. But I won’t let it go to waste, I know what I’m eating for dinner tonight!
10/10/2025: A family atmosphere that exudes warmth and authenticity, with homemade pasta that takes you back to the days of old. I highly recommend stopping here if you're in Soriano: everything is excellent! Try the different first courses, they're truly exceptional.

09/11/2025: The food was delicious. Excellent value for money. Excellent. It's a shame about the excessive wait times (an hour between appetizer and first course, another hour between first course and second course) and the excessively rude, disrespectful, and rude owner.
I don't think I'll be back. All in all, it's not worth it.

28/09/2025: This place brightened up our trip from Rome: the two girls at the counter were cheerful and accommodating despite our hesitation, given the newness of the place. It's one of the few places where you can find traditional pastries (giant and delicious), and the prices are more than fair despite its central location. Don't miss it!

18/08/2025: Unfortunately, it's definitely not a four-star hotel; it's old, even a bit dirty. We reported cigarettes in the corner of the bed, but no one removed them during our absence. Breakfast was mediocre, consisting almost exclusively of sweets. However, I must say that the village, like the entire province, is beautiful, ideal for visiting Bomarzo. They even accepted our large dog. The staff is very friendly, but we won't be returning.
03/08/2025: I went to their restaurant only and not rented their room. But I understand the rooms are good as well.

15/11/2025: Welcoming place and friendly staff, delicious traditional food, really good slow-cooked meat. We'll definitely be back.
12/11/2025: The food is good, especially the mushroom dishes.
The service wasn't the best in terms of wait times and manners, but that's understandable given that we went for lunch on a Sunday.
What wasn't right, however, was receiving a bill with prices different from those on the paper menu.
The customer should be notified if the prices on the paper menu are different from the actual prices.

28/09/2025: I had the pleasure of dining at Rottezzia and was truly impressed.
It's one of those places where everything seems right: from the warm welcome from the staff, to the attention to detail in the ambiance, to, of course, the excellent quality of the dishes.
The restaurant is refined but not overly so, with an intimate and relaxed atmosphere that makes you feel immediately at ease. The service was impeccable: attentive, kind, present at the right time, never intrusive.
The cuisine, however, is what truly makes this restaurant special.
Each dish tells a story, with top-quality ingredients and a combination of flavors that demonstrates passion and expertise. I particularly enjoyed the beef tartare (recommended by the charming waiter), but everything was truly amazing.
I would return just for the hospitality and sweet kindness 💐♥️
20/09/2025: We stopped by for lunch and found this restaurant charming and welcoming. The service was courteous and quick, and the food was excellent. We ate carbonara and a creamy zucchini tart on a relaxing terrace with a lovely view. Prices were average, and I'd go back!

16/11/2025: Let's just leave it, it's an experience to forget.
16/11/2025: You arrive at the property and say wow, so expectations are high. Then you check in and are greeted in the dark, and I'd say coldly, and with immediate payment. We go to the rooms with the radiators turned off, and therefore cold rooms. We are informed that the radiators have just been turned on and will be turned off at 10 pm and back on at 8 am. We go to dinner and are greeted with terrible service and, I'd say, poor quality (don't order the strudel, terrible). The next day, after hibernating in the cold, we go to breakfast with little choice and, I'd say, not very appealing. Finally, before leaving the property, we are stopped by the waitress because it turned out we had broken a board that was already broken. DO NOT GO THERE!! Unless you want to play a game of Footgolf.

20/08/2025: We were there for an aperitif; very good wine, a large selection of drinks, regional beer, and a gin and tonic! They offer generous snacks (chips, peanuts, and even fries). Excellent value for money! In the evening, it's a great place to linger and meet people. Friendly service, who were very keen to answer our questions about Soriano nel Cimino. The atmosphere is cozy and conducive to good conversation.

29/11/2025: A paradise in the tranquility of Tuscia! A charming place, welcoming staff, authentic cuisine that preserves tradition while also embracing innovation. Letizia, the owner, is the real highlight: kind and welcoming, she opens the doors of her home to you and makes you feel right at home. An experience I highly recommend. Whenever we want to escape the city, we retreat to Orto di Hans and return feeling refreshed!

Refined and well-kept atmosphere with rustic country tones.
We tried typical Alto Adige food, which you wouldn't expect to be so good in the Tuscia area of Viterbo.
