16/03/2026: Dishes without too many unnecessary "frills." Defined flavors. Punctual service. Quality raw ingredients. Strong point: the fresh pasta. If they have fried artichokes, order them!! Maybe a little too long of a wait, but with apologies from Maurizio (the affable, kind, and friendly host), everything is fine. Absolutely fair price. We'll be back.
14/03/2026: The restaurant consists of small rooms connected by arches and passageways, some with exposed brick walls. The architecture is meticulously crafted. The service was impeccable; the waiter was very knowledgeable in recommending dishes and describing them as he brought them to our table.

05/04/2026: We were here today for Easter lunch and had a wonderful time!! Everything was delicious and high-quality, portions were just right, service was excellent, and the timing between courses was just right. The meat was cooked perfectly and super tender.

11/03/2026: I've been to De Matti Franca's Trattoria Carlini, and I have to say it's one of those trattorias that makes you feel right at home. The place is simple, unpretentious, yet precisely because of this, it has a genuine atmosphere that's increasingly rare these days.
The cuisine is typical of the area: dishes made the way they used to be, with authentic flavors. I tried the ravioli and fettuccine, and they were truly delicious; you could taste the pasta made with care. The meat is also worth it, well-cooked and flavorful. Don't miss the homemade desserts; the tiramisu and millefeuille are truly excellent.
The portions are generous and the prices are fair, which is always a pleasure. The staff is friendly and approachable, and the service is simple yet cordial, as you'd expect from a true village trattoria.
It's the kind of place you'll want to return to, perhaps after a stroll in the area, for a good, casual meal. If you're looking for authentic cuisine and a family-friendly atmosphere, it's definitely worth a stop.
