I've been to De Matti Franca's Trattoria Carlini, and I have to say it's one of those trattorias that makes you feel right at home. The place is simple, unpretentious, yet precisely because of this, it has a genuine atmosphere that's increasingly rare these days. The cuisine is typical of the area: dishes made the way they used to be, with authentic flavors. I tried the ravioli and fettuccine, and they were truly delicious; you could taste the pasta made with care. The meat is also worth it, well-cooked and flavorful. Don't miss the homemade desserts; the tiramisu and millefeuille are truly excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are fair, which is always a pleasure. The staff is friendly and approachable, and the service is simple yet cordial, as you'd expect from a true village trattoria. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to, perhaps after a stroll in the area, for a good, casual meal. If you're looking for authentic cuisine and a family-friendly atmosphere, it's definitely worth a stop.

For lunch on a Sunday while passing through, despite the late hour, they found us a table under the charming yet rustic pergola. Traditional village trattoria dishes, delicious ravioli and homemade fettuccine with tomato sauce and spare ribs. Delicate and flavorful tripe, sprinkled with pecorino cheese, was spectacular. The main courses were traditional, from mutton cacciatore to grilled lamb, and generous steaks. Homemade wine. The owner was very kind in welcoming us and serving us the dishes, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The price was very fair for the quality of the ingredients and the quantity served. A must-have in the area.

We stumbled upon this trattoria by chance, which welcomes you with a beautiful pergola... we ate homemade ravioli with fresh ricotta, tiramisu, and a superb millefeuille! If you're passing through, I recommend stopping by, but make sure to book first!
