13/04/2026: The Villa Maria da Enzo hostel brings shame upon an entire profession. After reading the reviews, we wanted to verify the claims for ourselves. We were a group of 55 students and 4 teachers. Upon our arrival (Monday, April 6th), we asked to see the rooms before the students got off the bus. We weren't disappointed: the premises are dilapidated and poorly maintained (dangerous balconies, rusty shower heads, damp sheets and pillows, no mattress protectors on some beds, and to top it all off… bedbugs!!!). The manager is unpleasant and extremely rude, which is unacceptable for someone in the hospitality industry. For us, it was inconceivable that our students should be accommodated in such a place. After two hours of negotiations by phone with the service provider, we were directed to a hotel in Nettuno, 80 km from Bracciano.

03/04/2026: Where to begin? A truly terrible experience: ●THE BUILDING AND COMMON AREAS: The building is old, even dangerous. The promise of a "balcony" is not kept, as all the windows are boarded up. For rooms with windows, the balconies are unsafe; the cracks are visible and unsettling. The hallways resemble backrooms with multiple floors. The elevator? Don't worry about getting stuck alone, because an old lady will force you into it. ●The "restaurant": The food was inedible. It was impossible to explain an allergy or intolerance to the waiters. Since the waiters didn't speak a word of English, they wouldn't let you choose the portion size. After your meal, you could make a wig out of the hair you found on your plate. Not to mention the dirty glasses! ●The rooms: Now for the heart of this review: the rooms. The beds are hard, made of stone, and very fragile. The sheets are dirty, stained with blood and other stains (I'll let you guess what they are). Looking to make friends? This hotel is perfect for that: bedbugs will be your allies during your stay. The bathrooms are dirty (stains, hair, human hair), bordering on unsanitary (mold, mildew). The amenities provided (hair dryer and landline phone) trip the circuit breaker when plugged in, emitting a spark. You can easily get locked inside your room if you don't have the keys, and your door remains open all night because we can't lock it. ●Reception and staff: The staff is as outdated as the building. We arrived thinking our room was "on hold" and that we didn't currently have a room for the night. The staff didn't speak a word of English, and our basic Italian didn't help with communication. You have to ask for the Wi-Fi password and go downstairs to get it to reconnect each time. -> CONCLUSION: This hotel is old, dirty, poorly maintained, and uninhabitable. Run away!
