19/10/2025: We'd been wanting to try this restaurant for a while, with high expectations that were fully met. For starters, we ordered wagyu beef carpaccio with porcini mushrooms, brisa carpaccio with limoncello mayonnaise, and bruschetta with meatballs in tomato sauce. All delicious, and the carpaccios exceeded expectations. For the main course, we ordered two sirloin steaks, one Piedmontese Fassona and one Prussian (per the owner's recommendation), about 800 grams of meat (keep in mind that sirloin steaks require at least 400 grams). They were also delicious. The side dish of broccoli and porcini mushrooms was truly remarkable. We paired everything with Barbera wine. We finished with two desserts (tiramisu and cheesecake), which were good but average compared to the rest of the menu. The service was very courteous and helpful. Total price was €160, a substantial amount but still consistent with the quality and sophistication.

We started with an impeccable cooked and raw seafood appetizer, meticulously prepared and rich in authentic flavors. The oysters, incredibly fresh and of superb quality, were a true delight. It was all accompanied by a light, fragrant local white wine that perfectly complemented the dishes. For our first course, we chose gnocchi with gorgonzola, creamy, balanced, and truly irresistible—a seemingly simple dish, but executed with great mastery. For our second course, an exceptional salt-baked sea bass: perfectly cooked, precisely cut, and tender, flavorful meat. A dish that captures all the freshness of the sea and the chef's expertise. Heartfelt applause goes to the chef, who showcases each ingredient with balance and sensitivity, and to the owners, who kindly granted us a welcome discount. The value for money is truly exceptional: top-quality dishes at more than fair prices. The service was impeccable. We were looked after by Severina and Loredana, the latter possessing rare professionalism and sophistication: attentive, smiling, helpful, and endowed with a natural elegance that enhances the entire experience. In my opinion, Loredana deserves to work in Michelin-starred establishments. The family-run business is clearly evident, with a warm, welcoming, and authentic atmosphere that makes guests feel at home, despite the high-end setting. In short, Il Grecale is a true gem in Anzio: excellent cuisine, impeccable service, a family atmosphere, and a value for money that's hard to beat. Sincere compliments to the entire staff—and especially the chef—for making our dinner an unforgettable evening. 🌊🍷✨

11/10/2025: We know this pastry shop because we occasionally come here on summer evenings for their donuts and fried stuffed bombe, which are a true delight. They've also recently opened a deli service. They offer three or four first courses, a few second courses, and a few side dishes: simple yet authentic dishes prepared with love. So we decided to stop for a quick lunch and the food was delicious. Spaghetti with clams or clams, caprese salad, grilled vegetables, French fries, and fried cod. Everything was delicious, accompanied by friendly, punctual, precise, and courteous service. The business is family-run, and we felt right at home here. The quality/price ratio is top-notch. It was a pleasant discovery: sometimes it doesn't take much to achieve a good result.

29/09/2025: That's what they (or at least the "chef") should be doing, for having the audacity to come to the table in such a haughty and smug manner. But I'll start from the beginning when we asked for a dry, mineral wine and they brought us a G. Traminer... oh well, the guy's new, never mind. We ordered this pasta and clams, and for the first time in my life, I received this curious creamy pasta (the "mentecatura" with oil? Just a memory, here it's mixed with... I don't know? Potato starch? I have no idea, but it was a whitish, floury cream, inedible). And as a top because, according to the "chef": Italian cuisine is based on garlic, oil, and chili pepper. The pasta doesn't have fresh parsley, but it does have half a kilo of chili pepper. Bland and spicy, I left €18 worth €2 for the dish, and the parade at the table began. They want to know. But I don't want to be vulgar and say it's disgusting, so I'll just say, thanks. I don't like it and I won't eat it. Finally, the infamous "chef" insinuates (my companion, who was with me, is German) and asks me: are you Italian? As if to say, well, if you don't understand, you must be a foreigner. No, you're the one who should be picking clams instead of cooking. Ignorance and terrible cooking. Stay away!

21/10/2025: It's near my house. I go there almost every Sunday for breakfast. Everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is very kind and attentive. If you like Sicilian cannoli, I recommend trying it. Also, the mini cannoli with Scantelli cream.

23/08/2025: Good service and food. ‼️Please be aware that the meat price mentioned is gramms. For example you might see 8€ for meat/100g. So you might have a suprise when recieving the check, if your meat was big. We paid 24€ for 300g meat. It was tasty, still confusing, because there is no english menu version. (L’etto=100g)
