24/02/2026: Located right on the seafront, this hotel restaurant impressed us because, despite being in low season, they offered impeccable service. The rooms are clean and spacious, overlooking the sea with a small balcony that allows you to enjoy the view. We dined there, sampling the delicious Valentine's Day menu with table service from knowledgeable and friendly staff. This was also true for breakfast, which we enjoyed in the sea-view dining room.

25/10/2025: I'm sorry I returned this summer after three years. They're always kind and accept dogs, although it's best to leave them indoors if possible. Indoors, given the outdoor layout of all the restaurants in the port, with tables too close together. My rating is based on the dishes served. I think they've changed the chef and the recipes. The pappagico appetizer was much larger in portion size and also included a few more dishes. The fish was definitely fresh, but tasteless. It was flat. Nothing stood out to differentiate the flavor. The biggest disappointment was the pappafico risotto, the dish that made me fall in love with this restaurant. What I was served was completely different: a seafood risotto, poorly made, with a sauce that the original didn't have, and soaked in oil, like you wouldn't find in a diner. Truly awful. I don't dispute the freshness of the fish, which I couldn't appreciate so much as the flavor was masked by this disgusting and sickening sauce. So heavy that it couldn't be digested all night. It's a shame the risotto al pappafico was in something else and will make me cross this restaurant off when I'm in Circeo. It's not a question of price—I don't review what's available—but of taste. It's a real shame I don't know I can taste real risotto pappafico anymore.

05/08/2026: I've been a customer at Trattoria Il Grottino for almost 20 years now, and I can assure you that I've always had good food. The food is excellent, and the service is courteous and attentive. The experience and friendliness of Marina and Federico, the restaurant's owners, complete the overall image of the establishment. The restaurant definitely deserves an excellent rating.

02/08/2026: We loved this traditional trattoria for its amazing fresh seafood, atmosphere and setting in the centro storico. The owners said it has been in their family for 3 generations and it seems like a well loved local. We booked ahead and our family were seated promptly but there were people queuing later on in the evening.

15/07/2026: I hadn't had a raw ham like this in a long time! I didn't have an aperitivo, but it was a wonderful experience with an excellent wine recommendation. The guys who run it are attentive and generous. Truly, truly excellent.

29/06/2026: We met up with some old friends at this restaurant in the port of San Felice called Barracuda. ​​Parking was a bit difficult to find. Once we arrived, we sat outside with a softly lit view of the harbor. We perused the menu; we were truly spoiled for choice. I chose a first course and a second course. For starters, tagliolini and lobster. And for the second course, fried fish, all accompanied by a good white wine. For dessert, a baba with pistachio ice cream.

17/06/2026: A stunning location, exceptional raw fish, and excellent seafood! My boyfriend and I dined at Barracrudo with a breathtaking sea view and were delighted by the freshness of the produce. The bill was perfectly balanced. I only recommend involving the customer by showing them the fish (referring to the main course, such as turbot with potatoes) before cooking, and filleting it at the table. Well done, we'll definitely be back!

09/08/2026: The fish quality is average considering the area. If you order something off the menu, ask for the price. We ordered a generous portion of shellfish Catalana, and they brought us a simple shrimp Catalana (6-7 shrimp max, no other shellfish) for €70.00. The menu also included an octopus Catalana for €22.00. We raised this issue with the waiter, but they pretended not to listen.

27/07/2026: We dined at Mariolino with fairly high expectations, but the experience was mixed. We ordered fried seafood, which unfortunately we left almost entirely on our plate, as well as the mussels (we were told they came from Lake Sabaudia), which we found to be flavorless. The linguine with lobster, however, was decidedly better: well-prepared and tasty. The service also left us perplexed: the staff was apparently friendly, but during the dinner they seemed inattentive and almost annoyed. Overall, an experience with more shadows than lights. The linguine deserves a positive rating, but the other dishes and the service didn't convince us. Three stars.

29/06/2026: If I could is give a thousand stars. This place is an absolute delight. The spaghetti alle vongole was indescribably delicious. House made and full of flavor. Italian root pasta. We would eat there the whole trip if we were around the town for more days. The owner and the waiter were so nice and the Nonna at the kitchen deserves a prize. The wine of the house was fantastic.

20/04/2026: Hair in the vegetable dish, returned and refunded, and okay, it's disgusting, but it happens. Rubbery pizza. Stale supplì. And the distinct feeling that I would have eaten better anywhere else in Circeo.

15/12/2025: The coffee maker is excellent, and the desserts are delicious. It's a shame it's closed more often than it's open.

16/08/2026: The food was passable, but the service was decidedly unacceptable. We ordered an appetizer of raw oysters, scampi, shrimp, and tartare. They only brought us the tartare and shrimp, and then the waitress arrived with the first courses. When we pointed out that the oysters and scampi were missing, meaning we still had to finish the appetizer, the waitress, holding the pasta in her hand, replied, "The pasta is ready now, so take this; the oysters are ready." I think it would have been better if they had kept the pasta warm for us just long enough to finish the appetizer, rather than taking the time to tell me, the CUSTOMER, when and what to eat. Obviously, we asked for the raw oysters to be removed from our order because we didn't feel like eating raw oysters after a first course of lobster and shellfish. Despite everything, we still ordered second courses and dessert because we liked the food, but not even when it came time to get the bill did anyone apologize for what had happened. I want to clarify that I'm not a food critic, but for a €300 dinner, being treated like this just because we're in a tourist spot is unacceptable.

17/06/2026: Simply disastrous service: the appetizers arrive after the main courses, and the wine is brought only after repeated reminders, and in any case, at the end of the meal. You point out the absurdity of the situation, and the owner, instead of apologizing, dismisses you with a "what the heck..." Embarrassing, rude, and completely out of place. Total disorganization, zero professionalism. A real nightmare disguised as a restaurant: far from a new format, the only thing that needs to be improved here is the management out front.

05/05/2026: 3.5 stars ⭐ for the quality of the food and the location. The seafood calamarata and vermicelli with clams and lupini beans were delicious, perfectly al dente, with excellent quality ingredients, just the right amount of oil, generous portions, the Treviso prosecco was tasty, and the strawberries were delicious. The place is spacious and practically on the beach, with an adjoining beach club and umbrella and chair rentals. The owners are friendly, and the restrooms are clean. The menu is missing a star and a half (a choice of only 3 first courses and 2 second courses, but it's understandable given the early season and—plus—windy days for an outdoor seating area). The service organization is questionable, with table service staff shuffling around, the tables being too centrally arranged, and the wait a bit excessive: let's say it's absolutely worth it for the quality/price ratio and the quality of the food. 👍👍👍👍
