03/11/2024: Deludente, un insalatona con solo “erba” non mi era mai capitata, ok come contorno ma non come portata singola del menù. Per lo più a 14 euro

07/10/2024: Prezzi altissimi e piatti terrificanti: ordinata salsiccia con funghi e polenta, sono arrivati due specie di wurstel con della salsa di pomodoro, immersi in un liquido non meglio identificato. Per dolce una fettina di strudel trasparente, mai vista una porzione tanto ridicola. Stare alla larga.

04/10/2024: ein schöner Ort in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre direkt am See mit lauter angenehmen Gästen. Sehr nettes, freundliches, nicht aufdringliches Personal. Schneller Service, schnell ein herrlich leckeres Essen serviert. Sonderwünsche problemlos umgesetzt, einfach rundum schön. Die Gerichte sind gerade so ausreichend, man sollte evtl. eine Vorspeise genießen.

18/08/2024: We loved this restaurant when we visited a few times in 2022 and looked forward to returning this summer, 2024. We went twice this summer. The first time on Tuesday 13th August and the 2nd visit on Friday 16th August. On the Tuesday we had been pleased to recognise lots of the same members of staff from the 2022 visit. On the Tuesday we had a good experience (the reason why we were excited to return) and the second time we went, on the Friday we had a really poor experience. On the Tuesday, the food was very good, the vibe in the restaurant was also good and the service welcoming too. The restaurant is in an excellent location with stonking views back to Malcesine and the beautiful lake. It is an excellent grassy frontage with bean bags which our kids loved having their drinks at. However, on the 2nd visit we approached a waiter to inform our arrival which was 8:35pm for an 8:30pm booking (it was a hot day and we were feeling a little hot/slow on the walk!). He cut us short as we told him who we were and said we were late because it was an 8:00pm booking. My mum did not match the waiter's rude tone but tried to explain she had asked for an 8:30pm booking on the phone. He told her abruptly cut her short again and told her she was wrong (verging on aggressively) and he said he had 'seen the booking written down so she was wrong'! I asked if there was still a possibility of a table, he walked off to a table, leaving us unclear - we decided to find out by going over the table he was standing by. My mum is 75 and half Italian, fluent in the language. My father was 100% sure that she made an 8:30pm booking having listened to the phone call, he felt the person answering the call had been short of time / not really listening so had probably taken an 8:00 time instead - easy to do in a busy and popular restaurant - it is such a shame the waiter defaulted to rudeness, abrupt responses and certainly didn't apply basic, decent customer service. When at the table, we felt unwelcome and considered leaving but it is easy one for one waiter to have a bad day and we hadn't encountered poor service before so we stayed on. A different waiter came to take our order. My sister whose family don't eat gluten, for health reasons, started to give an order. The waiter stopped her as she gave her pasta order. He spoke in an off manner, similar to the first waiter and said she couldn't order gluten free pasta with different sauces, we asked why. He said the chef said he/she can't make different sauces so the 3 family members had to choose 1 sauce for the 3 orders. We were keen to know why but the waiter became inpatient taking the order and demanded she choose different food or one sauce for the 3 pasta orders. It was hard to understand because the sauces did not contain gluten. We discussed if we should continue with the order, we felt our children were tired and hungry so made an order. As we questioned if we should continue after 2 instances of poor customer service, the waiter, again with little tact or skill said we could leave now. Unconvinced, we continued with the order. The food arrived, some of it was fine, my risotto was undercooked and tasted bland. The gluten free pasta was undercooked (unlike the gluten free pasta on the Tuesday - when we were also allowed to choose whichever sauce), the undercooked pasta felt, possibly, like a point being made by the staff cooking it! We felt it necessary to mention this to the waiter and they reduced the final bill by 20%. Overall the 2nd visit this summer was really disappointing and we had all really looked forward to returning. If the owners / management staff were asked what I'd expect to be different: it was the tone of voice and the manner of communicating by both waiters. Of course, if the chef feels he/she needs certain stipulations followed so they can deliver allergy safe food then they can be explained carefully and politely. And is it really worth rudely telling the customer they are wrong about a booking time? And being so certain a human error might not have been made at their end?! I mean, surely it's not too difficult to deal with this situation by applying more politeness and respectful customer service. We don't feel comfortable in continuing to recommend Lido Sopri to friends and won't attend again when visiting the wonderful lake.

02/02/2025: Location rustica e accogliente, menu con diverse proposte a prezzi onesti, cibo buono e servizio veloce. Consigliatissime le lasagne!

16/02/2025: Siamo stati in questo ristorante ieri sera a cena, come antipasto ho preso il tris di pesce (trota affumicata, baccalà mantecato e luccio) niente di che, la trota era accettabile mentre baccalà e luccio insapori. La mia compagna ha preso un crostone di pane con cozze, vongole e gamberoni ed era abbastanza buono. Come prima portata entrambi abbiamo preso i bigoli con le sarde, non ho mai mangiato una cosa così tanto salata, abbiamo lasciato lì entrambi i piatti comunicando ad una cameriera il fatto che i due bigoli fossero immangiabili. Il personale non si è scusato ed alla cassa avevano cancellato i due piatti dallo scontrino per poi riaggiungerli senza chiederci nulla in merito. Altra nota negativa è il fatto che un cameriere che prendeva gli ordini aveva sempre qualcosa in bocca e mentre prendeva gli ordini continuava a masticare e l’ho trovato molto maleducato. Sfortunatamente c’erano pochi ristoranti aperti vista la stagione invernale e siamo capitati lì, ma lo sconsiglio a tutti e sicuramente noi non ci torneremo, piuttosto prendo qualcosa al supermercato lì vicino.

01/10/2024: Obwohl es an dem Abend recht frisch war, haben wir mit 6 Personen draußen gesessen und das Essen genossen 👌 Verschied. Vorspeisen, Hauptgang wie auch Dessert, wir waren super begeistert - auch die Getränke waren sehr gut.

13/09/2024: Accueil chaleureux, cadre agréable. Les produits sont de qualité sans aucun doute, mais la qualité de la cuisine est très décevante. Carte courte et appétissante, c'est bon signe . En dehors des plats de pâtes, nous avons plutôt eu l'impression de nous retrouver dans un restaurant qui propose des plats germaniques ... Peut-être que le cuistot s'est adapté à sa clientèle, plutôt allemande dans la région ! Entrée de poisson/polenta : trop cuit et fade. Plats : Choux farcis sans saveur. Truite sauce Mozzarella délicieuse . Dessert : Tiramisu très bon. Vin blanc de la casa très bien. Pour 70 €. Bref, expérience qui reste malgré tout décevante pour une agriturismo italienne!

02/10/2024: Unfortunately now closed as of 29/9/24. We thought this was the best bar in Malcesine. Great music, the Doors were playing as we walked in, nice atmosphere and friendly people, we found ourselves playing pool with the locals who seemed to make the Rock Cafe Pub their own. Jeanette and Emilio are born bar people who made us more than welcome I hope the future is kind to them.

20/09/2024: We loved it here! Jeanette is a friendly host who is happy to chat the night away whilst allowing you to pick your own music. Great drinks, atmosphere and customer base, amazing!

19/12/2024: Super Bar für ein schnelles Frühstück während man auf den Bus wartet. Super cornetti mit Schoko- und Marmeladenfüllung und guter Kaffee.

12/08/2024: Posto spertacolare e cibo ottimo. Terrazza da togliere il fiato. Servizio cortese ed attento. Porzioni abbondanti. Soddisfatto al 100%

10/08/2024: Pessimo servizio e più di 7 euro per 2 caffè e un’acqua. Da evitare certamente, fermatevi al bar prima, non ci siamo stati ma sarà comunque meglio

29/09/2024: Ate here twice in 6 days for evening meal.. Perfect location right on lake front with great views (although last night it was heavy rain!) A really good menu choice with high quality ingredients and well made. Fresh squid ink pasta with prawns and scallops was a delight, as was the Vitelli tonnato. Would highly recommend this place for a relaxing meal in great surroundings with terrific view. Good quality but affordable and good wine choice

27/09/2024: Meine Frau und ich hatten das Glück, bei Luciana im 1. Stock über dem Restaurant Gabbiano zehn Tage Urlaub machen zu können. Etwa fünfmal gingen wir nur eine Treppe tiefer ins Restaurant Gabbiano um dort zu Abend zu essen. Wir genossen Dorade, Frutti di Mare, Lamm, Leber und Salate. Auf Pizza verzichteten wir bewusst, da wir diese auch bei uns in Deutschland beim Italiener bekommen. Die bestellten Getränke waren gut gekühlt und ergänzten die Speisen vorzüglich. Alle Gerichte wurden rasch zubereitet, gekonnt zu Tisch gebracht und mundeten ausgezeichnet. Es war kein einziger Ausreisser dabei. Alle Kellner waren höflich, zuvorkommend und lasen einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. Fast alle sprachen sehr gut Deutsch. Speziell der Oberkellner ist ein Meister seines Fachs. Er berät seine Gäste versiert in deutscher Sprache und versteht sich auf launige Konversation. Die Preise sind angemessen. Manche Gerichte wie Fisch oder Frutti di mare sind preislich sogar günstiger als in deutschen Großstädten. Es empfiehlt sich, telefonisch oder persönlich vorzubestellen, denn das Gabbiano ist nahezu jeden Abend proppenvoll. Die Lage direkt am Gardasee ist phänomenal, die Aussicht von der Terrasse auf den Gardasee unglaublich schön - Sonnenuntergänge inbegriffen.

02/10/2024: An schlechtem Service kaum zu übertreffen. Getränkeauswahl sehr gut, jedoch ist der Service Grottenschlecht. Servicekräfte sitzen selbst in der Bar und spielen im Handy und die Gäste werden nicht bedient. Ganz klares ungenügend im Bereich Service.

12/08/2024: Purtroppo siamo capitati nel peggior bar tra i tanti , abbiamo chiesto 3 piadine mozzarella e cotto e 3 spritz ,dopo un po' arrivano le piadine che con stupore avevano all'interno mezza fettina di prosciutto e basta ,pure salata , abbiamo quindi fatto notare il tutto e dopo varie storie per farle rifare in modo decoroso ,la titolare le ha riscaldare nuovamente aggiungendo una mezza fetta di prosciutto purè vecchia di giorni il totale €40,50 come prendere per i fondelli le persone . Ho chiesto quindi la fattura perché posso scaricare senza problemi,la risposta ? Noi non abbiamo l'obbligo di farle Volevo chiamare i carabinieri perché assolutamente illegale da evitare come la peste
