06/08/2025: The most amazing meal tonight. The staff were all so friendly. Agim and Dashi particularly went above and beyond to make our night extra exceptional and we can’t wait to come back again. The food was fabulous and our table looking out over the water was just perfect. Thank you so much for the amazing service and food ☺️

20/08/2025: Not a pleasant experience, even in retrospect.
We booked dinner at this restaurant yesterday based on a recommendation.
Unfortunately, the service was completely inattentive. We were asked which dessert we wanted after the starter, before the main course, and the main course came pretty much immediately after the starter, without a relative pause, as should have been the norm. We all had diarrhea the following night; we all drank the same water in the restaurant, which was served in an unsealed bottle. Anyone who thinks this is a bad idea is a scoundrel. Unfortunately, the food was also not worth recommending in terms of taste, lacking any flavor.
17/08/2025: Slow and forgetful service... the food disappointed us, octopus with ketchup which is unacceptable, pasta portion very small, shrimp tartar poorly made... lamentable

12/08/2025: This wonderful tavern was our regular restaurant for many years, and we always felt very comfortable there. A lot has changed under the new owner. The service is still extremely friendly and attentive, for which we would like to express our gratitude. However, the food could have been better – the grilled fish on the daily special was unfortunately too dry. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio, especially considering the quantity, is not balanced. Although we are happy to pay a fair price for good food.
Since this restaurant is dear to us, we hope that the team will settle in well and that the kitchen will soon return to its former glory. We wish you continued success!

But at the vagabondo they work with their hands, their head and their heart, they are artists.
20/06/2025: Ciao! An absolute top spot for casual drinks outside in the pleasant space shaded by a large tree. Snacks are also available, and there's also a good indoor seating area. There are a few more drinks than on the menu, like Paulaner 0.0. Just take a look in the fridges inside. Very pleasant and not completely swarmed by tourists. Prices are high everywhere here, and it's no different here. Thank you so much, and keep up the good work :) Ciao

20/08/2025: There were five of us, and we all wanted a drink before the ferry departed. The place was relatively empty, with maybe five tables occupied. The waiter walked past us five times, and ten minutes passed. We got up because it wasn't worth the time. Less than twenty seconds later, the same waiter who had ignored us for ten minutes was yelling at us, asking if we had found the chairs the way we left them. I actually straightened a chair and said, "Thank you for serving us." This was followed by a barrage of Italian insults. Even while we were still in line, the waiter was shouting insults at us. Whoever owns this place should replace the miserable staff. We spent a lot of money in Malcesine that day in a nice way. All the cafés and restaurants were full, and we were treated kindly everywhere. There must be a reason why Al Porto was practically empty.

27/07/2025: Das Restaurand ist sehr schön direkt am Wasser gelegen. Das Essen war ok, aber nichts besonderes. Bei der Abrechnung wurden wir jedoch eiskalt über den Tisch gezogen. Die Rechnungssumme wurde uns mündlich, aber sehr unverständlich genannt, wir haben mit Karte gezahlt und natürlich noch Trinkgeld in bar dazugegeben. Eine Rechnungsübersicht erhielten wir nicht. Bis wir feststellen, dass auf dem Zahlungsbeleg 60 € standen, wir jedoch deutlich unter 50 € als tatsächliche Rechnung gehabt hätten, war der junge Kellner schon wieder verschwunden. Also bitte Vorsicht bei der Abrechnung.
26/07/2025: Grande delusione x il nostro pranzo di gruppo..Peccato perché ci siamo sempre trovati bene ma questa volta proprio no. Concordo con le recensioni che mi hanno preceduto..Molto meglio la gestione precedente. Non lo consiglio

20/06/2025: I haven't encountered such disrespectful service in a long time. For such prices you expect something completely different. We are on Garda for the 8th time and have been to a very large number of restaurants - this was one of the worst experiences.

20/05/2025: You will be greeted by the most welcoming host and served delightful food and drinks. Located in a beautiful rustic building in the Piazza Turazza, you can relax and watch the world go by. A must visit when in Malcesine.
