They almost saved themselves with the fried food, even if fried food is something else entirely, not squid and shrimp rings, but come on, they made an effort. Among the various little things are the rusted forks and the glasses that need to be looked at, perhaps cleaned. Last but not least, the final little thing is a screw under the table that put a couple of holes in my leg, but whatever. Cost? 30 euros Was it worth it? No, I'd say definitely not, the fish (?) was out of a bag and the service was poor. Will I go back? But not even under torture.

Afterward, we went to lunch at this elegant, refined restaurant serving typical Venetian cuisine, located very close to the Basilica. For lunch, the restaurant offers various set menus, such as first courses only, second courses only with side dishes, or a first and second course. The price always includes a coffee and a drink. We chose the set menu with second course and side dishes and had two slices of grilled beef with salad and baked potatoes. For dessert, two excellent coffees. We were extremely satisfied with the quality and abundance of the dishes, and the basket with white bread and breadsticks was also excellent. The staff were welcoming, smiling, competent, friendly, and helpful, and the service was very attentive and fast, and the prices were good. 23/07/2025: Meglio evitare. Locale piccolo e poco curato, probabilmente di nuova gestione con una cameriera evidentemente inesperta. Abbiamo ordinato un tagliere di salumi che abbiamo mangiato con le mani perché non ci hanno portato i piatti; decente la cacio e pepe ma non le tagliatelle con burro e limone. Non chiedete consigli sui vini ma andate co le idee chiare. Per noi esperienza negativa.

22/06/2025: Very pleasant discovery, we were walking and we stopped for dinner. Excellent dishes (very good the porchetta with fresh horseradish), right portions and perfect wine to accompany everything (a San Martino).

06/09/2025: Nice staff and decore a bit off the main path. Sea bass dish was very good. Stuffed tortellini in tomato sauce was very good. Borata and anchovies had a wonderful presentation- but - the anchovies were canned and served in their can (see picture). No one told us it was canned nor did the menu mention that. Had we known in advance, we wouldn’t have ordered it. The glass of house wine was under filled. Disappointing and overpriced for what you get.

02/09/2025: Fantastic service and food. The charming owner came over to each table to make sure each table was having a good time. The food was delicious. They didn’t accept any tips.

22/04/2025: Tried it with colleagues at work and I must say that it turned out to be a pleasant discovery. Excellent panzerotti, both baked and fried, at fair prices. Prompt, efficient service and friendly staff. I recommend it for a quick lunch but also to take home!

We tried a classic fried one (tomato and mozzarella) and a baked speck and mushrooms, both very good. Prices appropriate to what is offered, recommended for those who need to eat something quickly nearby.
