31/08/2025: I needed a hot snack at 11:40, they made me a great toasted bread with seeds, cheese and ham, the ham was excellent, not too salty, the cheese was spread evenly until it became creamy, x the bread is quite golden but not dry, the coffee is quality, it is clean and open air, I will definitely stop there in the evening when I have the chance, a great place, Thanks

13/10/2025: I'm sorry to give such a low rating because, given the location and the expectations raised by the bar's social media, I expected much more. We ordered two spritzes and a tea.
They arrived quickly, but without even a single chip or appetizer. After about 15 minutes, during which we'd seen that appetizers were delivered to other tables, we asked for something to eat, too, and a measly basket of chips arrived. The end of the story: we went to get a piece of focaccia from the shop next door, a shame.
I don't say this in a bad way, because I work in this industry too; I hope this situation improves.
06/10/2025: I'm really sorry to leave a bad review because it's not like me. I also work in the bar industry, so I can understand the various complications that can arise with orders, but after a 50-minute wait and reordering three times, I didn't even get my water and mint. I'm sorry, but at a certain point I saw the people who arrived after me eat and leave. I also felt sorry for the waiter, who had nothing to do with it, yet apologized repeatedly. I won't stop frequenting the bar, but I recommend they improve their order-taking process.

26/09/2025: I can't recommend it! They're absolutely outrageous!
First, they brought me something different than what I ordered, and then, after correcting the bill, both items were on the bill. Second, I ordered a cake for 2.95, and they charged me 6.50(!) on the bill. When I asked why, they said it was 2.95 to take out, but 6.50 to eat there...and of course, that wasn't clear beforehand...absolutely outrageous!
21/09/2025: Half a focaccia from Puglia, three mini appetizer pizzas, and three 2cm biscuits barely justify €13. Sorry, but that's not the case. Plus, the cashier was quite rude... a tourist trap.

Friendly and helpful staff.
It's a pity that getting there by car is a winding road and there's nowhere to park, it's always full of people.
10/08/2025: Overlooking one of the most beautiful bays on the La Spezia coast, the restaurant offers a good fish menu and good quality pizzas, the kindness and friendliness of the staff increase the pleasure of dining

19/06/2025: Give power to a person to see who he is. Rude, ill-mannered but above all arrogant, the owner. They made money, they work hard, strategic location, people are difficult, I understand but this does not excuse the behavior he had ... he arrived, he does not have to listen, overbearing, he knows, and he can refuse to serve you by shouting, it is his house. I was ashamed, as a foreigner and also owner of a public establishment.
11/04/2025: I don't know if he is the owner but the gentleman who manages the cash register is arrogant and rude, he doesn't speak, he shouts, the reason? Nowadays you pay with your mobile phone everywhere, strangely in this place they want cash for tax stamps and for every purchase. I bought the same things at a different tobacco shop without any problems. Dark and smelly environment. Not recommended👎🏽

21/09/2025: Situated in a location that offers a view of the square, this bar, despite being crowded, is very quick and organized in handling customers. The tramezzini are very delicate in flavor. I expected them to be more flavorful, but overall I didn't find them bad. The spritz was quite strong, in my opinion. It's just a matter of taste!

10/04/2025: Some time ago I went to this place for an "after work" aperitif with colleagues, and I was certainly satisfied 👍. Arriving on site around 3.00 pm 🕒 upon reservation 📞, we were cordially welcomed by members of the staff who immediately accompanied us to our table. We therefore opted for some fish-based appetizers (one portion each) and a couple of platters with bread 🍞 and cold cuts to share. Everyone ordered a drink for themselves (I chose a Crodino with Aperol 🍹 which was then followed by another). All very good 😋 and served with care 👌. At a certain point, seeing as the hunger was still biting, a colleague of mine and I also treated ourselves to a sandwich 🌭 with salami, cheese 🧀 and grilled courgettes 🥒. Both the owner 👨🏻🦳 and the girl 👩🏼 with whom we settled the bill at the cash desk were kind. Prices normal. I don't know if the parking area 🅿️ next door is owned by the structure, in any case we calmly left the cars 🚘 there. The location near the ring road exit is strategic. We liked it so I RECOMMEND IT 👍.

02/08/2025: I've been frequenting Bar San Massimo for about three months, and it's become a regular fixture in my day. I go regularly for breakfast and lunch, and sometimes even after lunch for a relaxing break. Every time, I'm amazed by the quality of the food: everything is carefully crafted, from the consistently fresh ingredients to the attentive and friendly service.
The brioches are truly excellent, fragrant and filled to perfection, perfect for starting the day. Lunch is also always top-notch, with tasty and well-prepared dishes, all at a truly excellent value.
Plus, the staff is always welcoming and smiling: a touch of humanity that makes all the difference. I highly recommend Bar San Massimo to anyone looking for a place to feel good and enjoy a truly delicious meal.
23/07/2025: This bar behind the hospital offers breakfast with a wide selection of pastries. I'm curious to try the savory options. I highly recommend it!

10/06/2025: Mi primera experiencia gastronómica en Italia en este pequeño café encantador. Establecido como un lugar de almuerzo para los lugareños y aquellos que trabajan cerca, tiene excelente WiFi y café, etc con una sección separada de "negocios". Fuera de eso tienes espacio para un montón de personas, atiende a niños y adultos por igual. Tuve un poco de pasado y un café y los dos eran magníficos.
A pesar de estar lejos de la zona turística, todos hablaban inglés y se tomaron el tiempo para ayudar con cualquier pregunta. Realmente amable y agradable experiencia.
Si me alojo en el AC Padova by Marriott a la vuelta de la esquina de nuevo, sin duda me alojaré aquí para el almuerzo.

13/05/2025: Ci siamo fermati a cena in questa osteria una domenica sera di fine aprile senza grandi aspettative e l’esperienza in effetti è stata piuttosto modesta. Il locale è molto grande e arredato in stile tipico, il menù è ampio (forse troppo) con possibilità di scegliere tra cucina e pizza. I piatti assaggiati si sono rivelati assolutamente basici nella presentazione e non certo indimenticabili nella sostanza e nei sapori. Servizio sufficiente anche se un po' svogliato. Conto nella media ma in rapporto alla qualità del cibo potrebbe quasi essere ritenuto un po' alto. Locale basico senza pretese che può andar bene al limite per un pasto in pausa pranzo.
