05/10/2025: My wife and I have tried a few michelin starred restaurants and this one stands out, cannot recommend it highly enough. They explain how their farm works, the dairy production/crops/animals. They talked about how the uneaten food is recycled to their animals. They talked about how they were using ingredients in non traditional ways to stick to their farm to table ethos (such as preparing celery in such a way as to get sugar out of it). Really fascinating stuff. The food was absolutely phenomenal. We loved the amuse bouche with peas (pictured). Their rye bread and butter were incredibly special (pictured). The main was beef tongue w/ this herbal ragout that was fantastic. A wonderful surprise was being able to see their cheese making in the basement while having the housemade cheese course (pictured). They were kind and flexible to dietary restrictions and the amount of alcohol you wanted to drink (you could order a wine pairing or just glass-by-glass pairings with your meal. the wine pairing was like 8-10, my wife got 3). I made reservations a couple weeks prior to our vacation there, no issue.

09/09/2025: The best dinner we had in our week in Cortina. The tuna appetizer, the risotto pasta and the tenderloin steak were absolutely delicious. Definitely come here if you're visiting Cortina reservations recommended.

20/09/2025: The food on the neighboring tables looked good. Unfortunately, I was ignored as a guest and not served. My table neighbors were. I left. Three waiters couldn't possibly be that blind... I have no idea what they were thinking...

16/09/2025: The food was great and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff were also really friendly and welcoming. Go in early since the place can get very busy.

12/09/2025: The Crostini with deer ham & finferli mushrooms and the Tagliolini in white ragu and black truffles were exquisite. This was easily the best meal in Cortina D’Ampezzo. No reservations, get there early.

28/08/2025: Simply wonderful. Da Aurelio gets it right at every level. A beautiful location with great staff and fantastic food. It was full of locals today celebrating a variety of events. Luigi and his team are absolutely charming and friendly. The gnochetti were delicious and the fillet steak stunning. A really good wine list and plenty of grappa to try at the end made for a thoroughly memorable experience.

13/09/2025: The middle-aged man taking your order, whether an employee or the owner, is quite blunt. They reheat your pizza slices and serve them to you. The pizza is decent, but it's not a particularly great place to go.

04/09/2025: Beautiful alone hotel in Cortina. Check in was easy and super helpful. The room was clean and relaxing. The views from the balcony were gorgeous. The restaurant was great. We had dinner and breakfast. It was perfect for starting our day off hiking.

28/09/2025: A true gem in Cortina d'Ampezzo! This long-established restaurant perfectly combines the elegance of Cortina with refined, innovative cuisine. The atmosphere is just what you dream of when you think of the Dolomites: a welcoming, wood-clad stube, hand-painted stoves, and meticulous attention to detail. The cuisine is excellent, with dishes that respect local tradition but with a truly appreciable contemporary twist. I absolutely recommend the cheese cappellacci topped with flavorful speck, the Iberian pork pluma—a surprising, light dish that melts in the mouth—and to finish, the chocolate mousse tart, which is unmissable! The service was impeccable: attentive, professional, and fast, worthy of the refined setting. The wine list also deserves special mention for its comprehensiveness. The prices are in line with the quality offered and the location. A must-visit when in Cortina—we'll definitely be back!

30/09/2025: They’re doing an amazing job at Lodge Alvera! The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the staff is super kind and helpful. We stayed on BB and the breakfast is amazing but we also opted to dining in house for our dinners and it was a great choice. The a-la-carte food is divine! 100% recommend the deer steak, wagyu burgers, Porcini Tagliatelle and beetroot ravioli (a local special) ☺️

09/10/2025: We were welcomed by very warm and friendly staff all night. Every dish was delicious and perfectly cooked! During the day the views of the mountains through the window is also really nice. We got the Sea Bass made in a special way in salt which was really tender and fresh. Lobster linguine did not disappoint either! Would come back

04/07/2025: Incredible views! we ended up parking and walking up the hill but you can just take the gondola here. We got the beef fillet and risotto, delicious! The staff was so friendly, we dream of this place. Would’ve loved to do the observatory dinner but we already left cortina

29/06/2025: It was the best salmon steak I've ever had. The sauce wasn't special or anything, but the salmon was cooked perfectly, and the envy pasta was a little salty for Korean tastes, but it was so delicious that it was okay. After eating two dishes, I realized it was a great restaurant, so I ordered ravioli as well, and this was so delicious that I was impressed... Try the ravioli and salmon steak..! The dessert wasn't too sweet and was so delicious.

25/09/2025: Had dinner here. The pasta was so good. Gelato was also good. The wine was too strong for me, I was not able to finish the smallest jug. Reserve a table before you go, it is busy place.

21/09/2025: We were staying about 15 minutes away with not much nearby, so decided to head into Cortina d'Ampezzo and found La Tavernetta di Cortina on Google. I’m really glad we tried it — we had a lovely meal here! The restaurant is just a few minutes’ walk from the main high street, so nice and central. There’s no parking on-site but plenty of car parks nearby, so it’s not a problem. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and the decor inside is really traditional and cosy. The staff were welcoming and, even though it was fairly busy, we got a table straight away. There’s a €3 coperto per person, which is pretty standard and didn’t bother us. Service was quick and friendly — we were seated right away, given time to choose, and the food came out promptly, which was ideal after a long day out walking. Drinks and mains were a little on the pricey side (e.g. €7 for a medium Coca-Cola), but the pizzas were very reasonably priced and there was loads of choice. We’ve been looking for a proper Neapolitan-style pizza with that soft, puffy crust (a lot of places nearby serve thin, flat ones), and these came very close. Freshly made, wood-fired, and absolutely delicious! If you’re in the area and fancy a good quality pizza spot, I’d definitely recommend La Tavernetta di Cortina.
