31/03/2026: The restaurant was a complete surprise, absolutely amazing! In order of best: - Rice with prawn and curry sauce - Mashed potatoes - Buckwheat pasta - And a steak, but I forgot the name; it used to be wrapped in pork, but they changed it. They were fantastic; they took care of every detail you needed.

12/04/2026: I've been going to the Ariston for several years, first as a pizzeria, now as a restaurant, and it's always a fantastic experience. The quality of the food is top-notch, beautifully presented, and the service is excellent and fast. The owner, Fabrizio, and his wife are always very kind and smiling, and it's a real pleasure to eat there. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with tasteful mountain-style furnishings. My favorite dish is the sea bass fillet in a crispy bread crust: it's delicate, yet flavorful and delicious, highly recommended! 05/04/2026: The atmosphere and the service is amazing really. Unfortunately, the food was a bit too much on the experimentation side and half of it was really good and half of it didn't really work unfortunately. We were really looking forward to this place so it was a bit unfortunate in the end, especially considering the price of being there.

23/03/2026: Let me start by saying that I hate not being able to choose what to eat, and therefore the tasting menus. Therefore, when I booked, I made sure they offered the à la carte menu. As soon as we entered, we were seated in a cozy common room where we were literally forced to order an aperitif. Our neighbors tried to decline, asking directly for a bottle to accompany their meal, but they were denied the option! Not wanting a spirit as an aperitif, we were forced to opt for a very expensive champagne (€35 and €50 a glass), accompanied by a series of small appetizers that, truth be told, we didn't request. My husband raised some valid criticisms about the much-vaunted €50 glass, and the sommelier blamed the type of glass... Finally, we sat down at the table and asked for two glasses of red to accompany our choices. We were offered only one option and no price was given. Finally, the food arrived, which was undoubtedly high-quality. I understand that making ends meet with only ten tables in Cortina isn't easy, but certain "forced" arrangements are ultimately unpleasant. Having a star doesn't justify any policy that limits diners' freedom of choice.

15/04/2026: The Margherita pizza is delicious. I tried one slice and wanted more, so I went back and ordered an additional pizza and something like a mozzarella croquette. They put it in the oven and served it, but the mozzarella wasn't fully melted, so the texture wasn't soft.

30/12/2025: The restaurant doesn't take reservations; it's first-come, first-served. Anyone not wearing proper thermal clothing will freeze outside. Plus, there's the incessant cigarette smoke. You have to eat your food quickly or it gets cold. The service is very poor, despite the good will and friendliness of the person taking orders. They're wasting money because we couldn't stand it and left. The food is good and the wine list is quite extensive.

24/01/2026: What an absolute treasure this place is. Spent 5 days skiing with Tiziana and being treated to superb hospitality by Gianluca and his team. The accomodations were comfortable and the dinners were delicious (thank you Carmine!) ... And the views each morning (see pictures) were simply stunning. If you have a chance to go and stay here during the winter ski season ... JUST DO IT and thank me later!

22/03/2026: Fair warning, there is a $10 cover charge just to dine here. Very nice staff that took good care of us, but the food quality was sub par. The bread was stale and hard as a rock. Maybe our fault for what we ordered, but all meals had pumpkin as a major ingredient. In March, pumpkin felt off and not fresh. A lot of purées that reminded me of Gerber baby food more than high end sauces. The staff was nice and the restaurant was clean, just not to our liking. They did ask for a google review and kept bringing “free gifts” that were things like a bread basket that are normally standard at most restaurants, so overall felt very gimmicky.

22/03/2026: If you’re in Cortina and don’t stop at Il Vizietto Di Cortina, you’re doing it wrong. We walked in with no reservation, fully expecting to get turned away, and instead were welcomed like regulars. That set the tone immediately. Marco and Mattia took care of us all afternoon and were nothing short of elite. The kind of service that doesn’t just meet expectations, it quietly raises the bar. They picked up on the fact that we were visiting and went out of their way to make the experience memorable. On-the-house appetizers, limoncello, and pistachio ice cream showed up like it was just part of their standard playbook. No big show about it, just genuine hospitality. Glasses were never empty, the vino kept flowing, and every dish came out hot, fresh, and dialed in. You could tell there’s real pride in what they do, from the kitchen to the floor. The atmosphere ties it all together. Warm, cozy, mountain-lodge vibes that make you want to stay longer than you planned. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for dinner and end up settling in for the whole evening. Food, service, atmosphere… all 10/10. But what really makes this place stand out is how they make you feel. Not like a customer, like a guest. Absolute must-stop in Cortina.
