04/07/2025: Erano molti anni che non ci venivo e penso non ci verrò più per altrettanti anni. Cit.
Allora, è da dire che è il giorno di Natale e quindi non rappresenta perfettamente la normale operatività del locale, però se ti presenti cosi a natale che pago 50 euro a testa, mi viene da pensare che se vengo infra settimana, non so, mi prenderanno 30 euro per tonno e pane e pure un scappellotto in testa.
Penso che descrivere il menu basti a far capire molto:
- Antipasto con 2 fette contate di speck, mortadella, salame e un altra "roba". Un tortino in mezzo, un pezzettino-ino di pane con del pomodoro e 3 pezzi di formaggio.
- Primo: 4 tortelloni con zucca e un pezzo di pasticcio con salsiccia, grande quanto il palmo della mano di un neonato.
- Secondo: 2 fette di cotechino e 2 fette di vitello.
Finale con 1 pezzettino di panettone e solo panettone, se vuoi pandoro, ti attacchi, e caffè ristretto stra amaro.
Sono uscito di li con lo stomaco pieno? Si, ma solo perché mi sono riempito di grissini, perché pure il pane lasciava il tempo che trovava.
Tutto questo unito dall'attesa infinita perché portassero i primi, dopo l'antipasto, e non cera nulla da digerire, anzi, si moriva di fame, e in generale dal servizio abbastanza "meh" dei camerieri.
Ho mangiato bene? Mhhh, normale, da 1 a 10 direi 4.
Consiglierei il posto a qualcun'altro? No, decisamente no.

Well, it must be said that it's Christmas Day and therefore it doesn't perfectly represent the normal operations of the place, but if you show up like this on Christmas when I pay 50 euros per person, I'm thinking that if I come during the week, I don't know, they'll charge me 30 euros for tuna and bread and also a slap on the head.
I think describing the menu is enough to make a lot clear:
- Appetizer with 2 counted slices of speck, mortadella, salami and another "stuff". A pie in the middle, a tiny piece of bread with tomato and 3 pieces of cheese.
- First course: 4 tortelloni with pumpkin and a piece of pie with sausage, as big as the palm of a newborn's hand.
- Second course: 2 slices of cotechino and 2 slices of veal.
Finale with 1 small piece of panettone and only panettone, if you want pandoro, you stick to it, and a very bitter ristretto coffee.
Did I leave there with a full stomach? Yes, but only because I stuffed myself with breadsticks, because even the bread was a waste of time.
All this combined with the infinite wait for them to bring the first courses, after the appetizer, and there was nothing to digest, in fact, we were starving, and in general by the rather "meh" service of the waiters.
Did I eat well? Mhhh, normal, from 1 to 10 I would say 5.
Would I recommend the place to anyone else? No, definitely not.
The place could use a makeover.
Edit: I received this response from the restaurant or owner, below my review, and to avoid removing it, after realizing what he wrote, it is better to transcribe it: "Thanks for the advice, we will definitely follow them... Next year, go to Master Chef so we can understand how to work... PS it wasn't speck, it was honey loin carpaccio... An... Christmas service with dessert on the table at 3pm... Started at 1pm... You've waited a lifetime... Anyway, Merry Christmas",
It is normal to make mistakes, nobody is perfect, and it can happen that you make bad calculations, book more tables than expected, have less staff at the last minute and similar things. A customer makes a rational observation from his point of view, the review is not entirely negative, you can convince the customer to change it to a positive one and review his experience, it is very doable, it happened to me with other situations, just respond kindly and admit the mistakes, if there were any, and show yourself available.
But with someone who responds like that, what can you do? Keep a positive review? Compliment him? And then they wonder why they open and close places in less than a year. If this is how you treat your customers...

13/06/2025: Mi sono recata in questa osteria con delle amiche.
Come antipasto abbiamo fatto dei taglieri di salumi e formaggi. Come primo ho preso delle lasagnette integrali con ragù di anatra brasata e come dolce una crema al pistacchio con base al biscotto molto soffice.
Ci siamo trovate benissimo! Personale molto efficiente.
Abbiamo avuto la possibilità di mangiare fuori nel loro giardinetto, molto carino.
Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.
Consigliassimo anche per famiglie!
Si consiglia la prenotazione perché il locale non è molto grande.
Ci tornerò sicuramente

12/07/2025: The place is underground, meaning the entrance is at the top of a descending staircase. I remembered it from when I was a kid. Extremely friendly, first and foremost. As a snack, I had the smiley potatoes (very cute and kid-friendly). The bruschetta (Provolona) was undoubtedly among the best I've ever had, honestly. A small double-malt red beer and a half-liter of sparkling water to drink. The sorbet was unique, its color reminiscent of the Blue Angel, which was a huge hit years ago: a great idea. With coffee to finish, the bill was just €22.90, and I had to ask for confirmation because I thought they'd made a mistake.
I haven't had such a wonderful evening in a long time. I thank them and I'm sure they'll see me again several times.
Rarely does giving my all come so easily and spontaneously.

For a snack we only took a sandwich on the fly, which had only one flaw: it was too big :D (which for "funding" is a great thing).

19/08/2025: We were greeted rudely. The service was slow and sarcastic. When we asked to see a wine list or a price list, the answer was a firm NO. The waitress didn't offer any suggestions, only asking, "White or red?"
We tried to mention a few names for a local drink (since we're in a wine bar!) or even a simple Hugo, and the answer was NO. No explanation.
The bill was steep and, in our opinion, unfair, if only because, without a price list, it wasn't possible to predict it. (€25 for a plate with a few slices of soppressa and speck, two types of cheese, and onion mustard)
Not recommended
19/08/2025: We stopped by for an evening aperitif. The rudeness of the staff was immediately apparent, as they greeted us abruptly and disrespectfully.
There's no menu with prices. We ordered two beers, a glass of wine, a spritz, and a platter.
The platter cost €25 and included a few slices of cold cuts, some cheeses, some walnuts, and some bread (dry and unhealthy)... an outrageous price.
We'll never return.

26/06/2025: The Hotel Ai Die Principi has a beautiful location right on the canal. With its own restaurant, the Principi not only offers breakfast by the canal, but also in your room for a small surcharge. There were four of us (two children and two adults) and we booked the Family Suite for one night through Booking.com for around €300. We had a small balcony in our suite, the windows and floors were decorated to match Venice, and the suite was air-conditioned to a pleasant 23 degrees. I had to give it a small negative point because the room was damaged when we handed it over. Photos attached. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the restaurant; I was already too tired to put the children to bed. But luckily there is a minibar in the room. Breakfast was okay. You can get a better breakfast out. If you want to explore the city after checking out, you can leave your luggage there.

12/06/2025: Beware, it's a rip-off – or at least poor service at the bar. It's better to buy your tickets from the vending machine directly at the ferry terminal.
There are signs everywhere in the parking lot saying you should buy your ticket at the bar. So yesterday, as a family of four, I bought a round-trip ticket to Burrano and was handed four tickets without comment by the unfriendly clerk, who, incidentally, wasn't particularly interested in the fact that the ferry was leaving in six minutes. The whole thing costs €38 for a 15-minute round-trip trip – a hefty price, I think. Of course, I dutifully held my tickets up to the vending machine, only to find out later that I should have only validated two tickets because not all four tickets were valid for the outward and return journey, but the other two were for the return journey – my mistake; I should have done more research beforehand and not relied on the clerk's friendliness. You can't rely on public transport either, as they don't refund tickets, claiming that the woman in the bar wasn't a colleague and had nothing to do with ACTV. So I had to buy two single tickets for the return trip, which cost a total of €57 just for the crossing – a shame and unnecessary. To make matters worse, the 12 bus line didn't stop in Treporti on the way back, but we only found out about this in Punta Sabbioni, and from there we had to take the bus back to our car. Unfortunately, the unfriendly bus driver could only speak Italian, or wouldn't speak it, so we barely reached our destination on foot with the friendly translation of a local.
Dear Bar Marina, please don't sell tickets if you can't or don't want to. Just don't do it; it's better for everyone involved. Install another vending machine instead of an unfriendly employee. Thank you.

30/04/2025: A pearl found by chance.
We were returning from the Euganean Hills on April 25th and found this restaurant by searching on Google.
We stopped in this pearl managed by a girl who is very knowledgeable about wines and at the entrance we found her mother having lunch and she told us that the jarfiniera is made by her (she even explained the whole process with the blast chiller etc.).
However, we ate divinely: Vicenza-style cod, a platter of the right amount for two people with truly excellent cheeses and cured meats and obviously the giardiniera, a plate of bigoli with duck ragù.
To conclude, a particular biscuit made by them whose name I don't remember, really good with a good coffee.
Absolutely justified value for money, but above all an environment with a touch of personality certainly given by the creativity of the girl who manages it.
We add that we were with our dog, therefore kind also in this sense and we say goodbye to the three cats who act as reception at the entrance :-)
Congratulations indeed, these are the places you always want to find when you go around.

30/04/2025: I find it anomalous to say the least in a place that calls itself a "tavern", but which doesn't have bulk wine available. In an area, among other things, (the Euganean hills), where there is a winery that produces wine practically every km. And even more anomalous is the fact that it doesn't even have a wine list. And be careful when asking! The owner might resent you and reply (as happened to me) "I'm the wine list!". If you then order a first course and ask if they can bring you some parmesan, the answer will be that it is already there. And then you have to insist, so in the end they bring it to you. Snorting, but they bring it to you. And as if that wasn't enough, you eat like in a restaurant, with a placemat and paper napkin, but you pay like in a restaurant. And what's more, you are treated badly and with disdain. Honestly, I'm surprised it's still open.
