La Luge Beer & Burger Bar

Courmayeur
09/04/2026: We ate here for a quick and reasonably priced lunch. Prices in Courmayeur tend to be high, but here we were surprised by the excellent value. However, while the staff was extremely kind and helpful, we felt a bit uncomfortable with so many waiters in such a small place... it was clear they had no business doing anything (there were few other customers besides us), and this forced them to stand very close to the tables, chatting. This is completely understandable, and I emphasize that this is not a criticism of them, but I think the shifts should be managed better. Unfortunately, this made the experience less pleasant, and as soon as we finished eating, we got up because we didn't feel comfortable.
04/04/2026: Very nice beer house, friendly staff and really excellent food, recommended for lunch.

27/02/2026: I love this place, perfect location, the reward after a long descent. And I love collecting their t-shirts year after year.

La Baita

Courmayeur
20/03/2026: Great service, the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Cozy atmosphere.
19/02/2026: Five stars but I’m going to start with a couple small suggestions for improvement: only disappointment, which we knew going in, was lack of a Jacuzzi/hot tub. The hotel has plenty of space outside for one and this would be a great addition! would also be great if the gym had some free weights. Those aside, we absolutely loved our stay. Everyone who works there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. It makes a difference, so keep up the great work! The hotel is charming, especially the wood paneled lobby/lounge/bar with fireplaces and lots of cozy nooks. The pool is far better than shown on the website: lovely setting both indoor and outdoor and very very warm. (doesn’t quite make up for lack of hot tub, but pretty close!). Distance from the heart of Courmayeur was a bit disappointing. Really appreciated the shuttle and the friendly drivers who kept it going at any time of day or night. If the weather has been a bit warmer, and there were less snow on the ground, we probably would have made the walk but were a bit too lazy after a day of skiing. But we never had to wait too long for the shuttle, whether going into town for dinner or driving five minutes to the gondola. Would happily recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Courmayeur.

Pizzeria Snack Bar Du Tunnel

Courmayeur
12/04/2026: We had an amazing experience here. The variety of pizzas is impressive, with options for every taste, and everything we tried was absolutely delicious. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality, and the dough was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and soft inside. The desserts were just as good especially the tiramisu and the flan, both rich, flavorful, and clearly homemade. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel very welcome throughout the meal.
11/04/2026: Warning!!!!! Outrageous experience at Pizzeria du Tunnel. One pizza was okay, nothing special; the other was simply inedible: dry, tasteless, and with burnt mozzarella. I didn't even eat half of it. "Ingredient replacements" were charged as extras without any prior notice—a practice that is more than questionable. When I asked for a discount, the cook started shouting and refused to discuss anything. The result: the police intervened... to force us to pay anyway. Zero customer service, zero willingness to learn, and shockingly aggressive. Absolutely avoid this place.

Aria

Courmayeur
12/03/2026: As a Chinese American traveling with my husband, a white American, I approached our dinner at Aria in Courmayeur with high expectations. After a week in town filled with warm hospitality, attentive service, and memorable meals, this was the one evening that left me unsettled. Following a long day on the slopes, we arrived looking forward to a relaxed dinner. The menu was presented in both Italian and English, and we ordered two primi—a mushroom risotto and gnocchi—along with a single secondo to share. Based on the English description, we chose what seemed like a straightforward dish: a beef fillet with potatoes. The meal began pleasantly enough with an amuse-bouche of a fried olive stuffed with meat, a thoughtful and flavorful opening. Initially, I opted not to order wine in hopes of sleeping better after skiing, though midway through the meal I changed my mind and requested the wine list. Unfortunately, it never arrived. Given the late hour—around 9 p.m., near closing—we assumed the staff was simply busy and let it go. The gnocchi and risotto arrived and were quite good. However, by this point our table had run out of the water we’d ordered. We asked for more, yet while other tables seemed to receive prompt refills and attentive service, our request went unanswered. The real confusion came with the secondo. When it arrived, it was clearly not what we expected: a piece of fish resting on a red sauce—no beef, no potatoes. We tried to clarify with the server and asked to see the menu again. The version brought to us looked different from the one we had ordered from; the English description no longer mentioned beef, though it still used the word “fillet.” When I explained that we had ordered “beef,” the server curtly responded, “pig.” The exchange went nowhere, and my husband suggested we simply move on rather than argue. We ended up eating the fish we hadn’t intended to order. By then, the atmosphere at the table had shifted. Small details compounded the frustration: when the shared secondo arrived, we were given three knives and only one fork. No one noticed or corrected it. At that point, my mood had soured completely. I left the table while my husband settled the bill. To be clear, there was no explicit comment or action that could be labeled as racist. Yet the contrast in attentiveness between our table and others was difficult to ignore. Throughout our time in Courmayeur, we encountered language barriers in several places—restaurants, bars, even brief street interactions—but those moments were consistently met with patience and kindness. Here, the experience felt markedly different: distant, dismissive, and oddly unwelcoming. Whether the issue stemmed from miscommunication, assumptions about American tourists, or the fact that we hadn’t ordered an expensive bottle of wine at the outset, the end result was the same. For visitors—particularly Americans or travelers of color—who simply want a respectful dining experience and to receive what they ordered, Aria may not deliver the warmth that Courmayeur otherwise offers in abundance.
08/03/2026: Excellent place for dinner. I had the best fondue of my life here, honestly! Their salted caramel gelato was phenomenal!! The rice, unfortunately, wasn't cooked very well, but the flavors were delicious. They're very careful about gluten-free options! The girl who served us (a brunette with bangs) was amazing! Really nice and friendly! I'll definitely be back! And I highly recommend it!

La Loge du Massif

Courmayeur
10/03/2026: We had a wonderful weekend as a couple at Le Massif. The hotel is beautiful and the welcome was truly warm. We loved the modern yet cozy atmosphere, and a special mention goes to the spa, which, while small, is perfect after a day in the cold. Breakfast and dinner are excellent; the team at Le Massif has made this establishment a benchmark in the region. It's the perfect place, we highly recommend it!
28/02/2026: We stayed two nights. The hotel has a beautiful and refined design, elegant and in perfect contemporary mountain style. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Our Junior Suite was very nice and clean, although not particularly large. There were some small details that could be improved, such as the slightly broken bathroom outlet, the damaged hair dryer nozzle, and the lack of a capsule coffee machine, which I would always expect in a 5-star hotel. The gym is okay, while the spa area is very nice, although we found one inconsistency: despite booking a time slot, on the first day at 6 pm it was completely full and there were no loungers available. So I wonder what the point of booking is if space isn't guaranteed. The breakfast is truly top-notch: rich, varied, and high-quality. My only complaint is that I would avoid paying for juices in a 5-star hotel. We also ordered room service, which even arrived early. The service was perfect, and the food was truly excellent, with tasty and beautifully presented dishes. Overall, a positive experience. A very beautiful facility with room for improvement to be truly impeccable.

19/03/2026: This place was recommended by friends. The owners are kind and friendly, the food is excellent, both pizza and the set menu. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable considering we're in Courmayeur (we had two lunches and one dinner). We'll definitely be back.

Bar Vineria Osteria Walser

Courmayeur
11/04/2026: We stopped here on our way from France and had, without exaggeration, the worst food we have eaten in Italy in our lives. It was honestly embarrassing. The pizza was terrible, with mushrooms that tasted like they came straight from a can. The focaccia was even worse — dry, strange, and hard to describe, but the photos say enough on their own. Even a kindergarten child could have prepared something more edible. Italy is famous for great food, which makes this place even more disappointing. Absolutely not recommended.
08/03/2026: The wine was good, as was the bread that accompanied my lasagna. However, the lasagna itself was awful. I rarely leave food unfinished, but here I left half the plate. A small amount of ragù on top of the lasagna, with each layer in between with only a tiny amount of something reminiscent of béchamel between them. Only just warmed up enough to serve. 23 euros for nothing. The wine was fine, and so was the bread that came with my lasagna. However, the lasagna itself was awful. Ristorante La Clochette

Courmayeur
07/04/2026: “House specialty” pierrade: boiled potatoes, three identical mustard sauces, and ketchup/mayo packets straight from a fast-food place. We had to order fries on the side (which we were charged for, of course) just to have a proper meal. At this point, it’s not a specialty—it’s cost-cutting. Very disappointing. A rather baffling experience… and unfortunately not in a good way. We ordered a pierrade expecting a pleasant and refined experience. What we received felt more like rushed service, with no real attention to detail. As a side dish, we were served boiled potatoes. Surprised, we pointed out that it was a pierrade and not a raclette… the response: “It’s the house specialty.” So be it, even if it remains rather difficult to understand. As for the sauces, the situation becomes almost surreal: three small pots presented as different accompaniments, which turn out to be… three times the same mustard. In addition, there are individual packets of ketchup and mayonnaise, worthy of a fast-food restaurant. Since no truly suitable side dishes were offered, we had to order fries as an extra just to complete the meal… an extra charge, of course. The whole experience gives the impression of an establishment that is content with the bare minimum, where one expects a little care, consistency, and a minimum of generosity, especially in a resort like Courmayeur. A disappointment. I assure you that if the service had been up to standard, I would have had no reason to leave a negative review. In fact, feedback was given directly to the waitress on site, but unfortunately, it was ignored. When a pierrade is served without proper accompaniments, with three pots of mustard presented as sauces, and fries are charged as an extra without clear explanation, it is normal for a customer to be disappointed. I prefer to express my opinion calmly afterwards rather than on the spot, as it allows me to remain respectful. My comment was not intended to harm, but simply to reflect a genuine experience. It is up to you to take it into account… or not.
22/03/2026: The service was very friendly and attentive, no complaints there. Unfortunately, however, the dining experience fell short: the dishes were beautifully presented, but overall they were bland and unsatisfying. The only exceptions were the raclette and the four-cheese pizza, which were decidedly better. Making things even more disappointing were the exorbitant prices, which were completely unjustified by the quality offered. Considering expectations, it was a disappointment. I hope they can improve the quality of the dishes, because there is potential.

American Bar

Courmayeur
16/03/2025: We come across here a few times, sometimes for a casual drink, other times to watch sport. One night we had burgers which we were underwhelmed with given they were 14euro each. Needing the burger to taste fresher and for that price add fries or other. But drinks/service and complimentary small finger food negated the food.
27/02/2025: Busy but friendly and reasonably priced sports bar showing rugby, football and various italian sport. Good free appetisers.

Shatush Contemporary Restaurant

Courmayeur
08/04/2026: I stayed over Easter with my girlfriend and we really had a great time! The helpfulness and kindness of the staff were truly appreciated! The view was breathtaking and the room was spotless! Exceptional! I highly recommend it! We'll definitely be back!
08/03/2026: We came to dance at this famous club. The music was the same for over two hours. We asked for a change and were denied. It was incredibly boring. We paid €30 for entry, including a drink, but then each drink was €15. You basically had to make it last for almost the entire evening, with music that wasn't up to par. Better to go to the karaoke bars in town or the chill-out places where they play random music on the stereo and drinks cost €5. Never again.
