31/01/2025: Popped in for a quick lunch. Good food.

14/01/2025: Crazy, absurd, scandalous!! Around 2.00pm on January 1st we decide to stop here for something quick to eat (6 people). Initially they tell us that they are full but if we wait 20 minutes, some tables become free and we can eat. After almost 40 minutes we manage to sit at the table and just to order we have to stop the same waitress 2-3 times. During the long wait we ask more than once how far along they are as we had ordered some polenta and soups. In all this we asked for water and they forgot the glasses. We asked for cutlery and they forgot the forks. Moral of the story: at 4pm we got up from the table pissed off because we had to wait 1 and a half hours to eat a plate of polenta (and in the end we didn't even eat!). Happy New Year and with the hope that in 2025 you have the humility to say no to people who enter the restaurant to ask if there is room to eat but in reality you are full and cannot manage the situation

04/02/2025: We ate well, but the waiter proposed a second course off the menu and another to replace the trout which was finished. We chose the two options proposed. It would have been pleasant and more respectful towards us customers to have an indication of the prices of what was offered.

24/01/2025: A magical and unique experience - the Hotellerie has restored and inhabited this old Walser village with respect and charm to retain its authenticity and offer you all the comfort you need without excessive in-your-face luxury. It felt truly a privilege to stay up there away from it all in such beautiful natural surroundings and at the same time we were made to feel really at home by the friendly and attentive staff. The food was excellent, including the vegan options they made an effort to cater for, and the wine list had some lovely local wines to try. The one day we went skiing, it took just 20 minutes from the moment we hopped on the skidoo to being dropped at the Champoluc lift station. Another day we went snowshoeing through the forest, across pristine snowfields and along the stream running through the Mascognaz valley, while snow softly fell. Every day ended with relaxing in the spa followed by an aperitif by the fire in the cosy bar and reception before dinner. I'm recommending this place to friends and family and looking forward to coming back, perhaps in summer this time. The one thing I would like to see more attention to is environmental policy and awareness - it would be great to know more about how the hotel is working to reduce its impact on - and give back to - the beautiful nature all around it, and how guests can contribute. Do they use renewable energy for the heating and spa or can they? Do they have their own vegetable and herb garden in the summer? Could the skidoos be electric? This would be appreciated.
