15/10/2025: I ate two meals here. The pizza was delicious, with a wide variety of toppings. I highly recommend the porcini mushrooms. The restaurant is open until 11 PM, so you don't have to worry about missing out on dinner even after visiting the attractions. It's conveniently located near the station.

01/10/2025: Wonderful restaurant with even more wonderful staff. The tasting menu and wine pairing were fantastic. My wife and I visited 3 times in as many days and the staff was extremely friendly each time. Highly recommended if staying in the Dolomites.
25/09/2025: One of the culinary experiences that will remain most memorable for me, a very refined restaurant located in an old 17th-century farmhouse, a listed building as one of the very few such old farmhouses in the area, and whose rooms have been preserved as they were originally. The short tour was very enjoyable; the cuisine is all made with local ingredients and artfully reinterpreted with a modern twist by the chef. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, explaining the dish after serving it. The wine cellar is well-stocked, and the price is reasonable for everything.

Hotel Genziana Ristorante

20/11/2025: The Hotel Genziana is located in the center of Ortisei, making it extremely convenient for the various shops and restaurants in the town center. Most importantly, it's right in front of the bus stop for buses to Bolzano or Selva, and all other destinations, and close to the cable cars to the center of Ortisei.
The hotel is exquisite in every way: the rooms, the reception, etc. The breakfast and dinners are excellent and I believe they can satisfy every taste.
I hope to return to the Hotel Genziana and to Val Gardena in general soon. :)

29/10/2025: We visited the restaurant 2 consecutive nights while staying at Ortisei. Ordered the Tris de bales and Maltagliati with roebuck ragout on the first night and went back to try the Spätzle, lamb chops and chestnut dessert. Foods were amazing and delicious. The restaurant setting was cozy and service was great and attentive. Thank you for the complementary hazelnut liquor too. 👍💯
27/10/2025: Unfortunately, the unfriendly service overshadowed the otherwise delicious food.
We didn't feel welcome and weren't treated like guests.

13/07/2025: Servizio veramente confuso. I piatti non erano fantastici… vedo che è consigliata perché i prezzi non sono spaventosi come dappertutto in questa valle, ma io credo proprio che non valga la pena.
02/07/2025: Pedí una hamburguesa vegetariana (que la camarera repitió) pero desafortunadamente me trajeron una hamburguesa de cerdo desmenuzado. Comí un par de patatas fritas y luego corté la hamburguesa y me di cuenta de que era carne.
Le hice saber a otra camarera en voz baja.
La camarera original regresó y comentó en voz alta algo que me pareció innecesario y vergonzoso.
La segunda hamburguesa llegó con 3/4 de porción de papas fritas (había suficientes pero nuevamente dio una sensación incorrecta) y sin el hummus por el que la elegí. Me rendí en este punto porque los demás ya habían terminado hacía tiempo.
Habiendo trabajado en situaciones similares, podría haber comprobado que todo estaba bien y esta experiencia se destacó como algo negativo en una ciudad por lo demás muy amigable.
¡A mi marido le encantó su pizza!

20/10/2025: I had my Birthday dinner at Da Checco and loved it so much I came back two nights later for the venison. The service is friendly and prompt, the building, inside and out, is spacious and beautiful and the food is first class. Over the two nights we ate the chestnut flour gnochi, veal tomahawk, venison loin special (awesome), tripe soup ( was amazing- one of the best tripe dishes I’ve had) and the venison ragout tagliatelle ( this was the only dish that was a little disappointing). The wine selection is excellent and the Unertl beer is a winner. Highly recommend Da Checco and it is very well priced. We had a great time on both visits.
13/10/2025: Excellent osteria, with a very refined and truly beautiful atmosphere. Conveniently located in the town center, yet away from the crowds, on a quiet side street. Excellent location, and convenient parking make it easy to get to. The food is good, with delicious, carefully prepared dishes. I definitely recommend it for a lovely evening with your partner or for celebrating events. It's also great for friends and informal gatherings, and is a great choice. Attentive and professional staff.

03/11/2025: My wife and I found this Wine Bar on our first night in Ortisei and it was our favorite restaurant from our entire trip.
The food, service, and atmosphere were so amazing we came back the next night!
The owners, Renate and Helmuth also gave us excellent wine recommendations to pair with our dinner.
We absolutely loved this restaurant and will be back the next time we are in Ortisei.

19/07/2025: Siamo stati più volte al caffè e ristorante "Val d'Anna", che si è confermato un'oasi di pace e... golosità, per le proposte culinarie. Ottimamente attrezzato anche per le famiglie con bambini piccoli e piccolissimi con giochi e fasciatoio a portata di mano, questo punto di ristoro mette gratuitamente a disposizione dei clienti chaise-longue, lettini e ombrelloni che sono posizionati in una grande area verde, anche sulla sponda del fiume che scorre lì vicino. Servizio sempre gentile e cortese, il che non guasta certo. È facilmente e piacevolmente raggiungibile a piedi facendo una breve passeggiata lungo un cammino pure attrezzato a dovere, a iniziare dal piacevole percorso Kneipp e comprendente pure una grande area dedicata ai giochi per i bambini. Che dire d'altro? Che lì al "Val d'Anna" si sta proprio bene e pure ci si può rilassare e ristorare con soddisfazione per tutti i sensi.
15/07/2025: Este es un buen lugar para tomar una copa o una comida. Está al final de un sendero que comienza cerca del Teleférico Seceda en Ortisei y corre junto a un río. Es un paseo fácil. También se puede llegar en coche y, en invierno, en esquís. Hay un montón de mesas exteriores y asientos y el servicio fue amable y eficiente.

13/07/2025: Sono stato a mangiare a pranzo con tutta la mia famiglia in questo rifugio e ho trovato uno staff molto gentile e cortese che sanno fare molto bene il suo lavoro quando l’ambiente è positivo il servizio si riflette sul cliente ed in questo caso il servizio è stato ottimo complimenti a tutto lo staff, ma soprattutto a Daniel
13/06/2025: Volevo terminare in bellezza una bellissima vacanza con un tempo favoloso, in uno dei posti più stupefacenti d'Italia, invece sono capitata in un locale che più che un rifugio o comunque un posto d'accoglienza Montanaro mi sembra un manicomio. Camerieri, evidentemente sovraccarichi di lavoro, danno i numeri in un posto che definire squallido è fargli un complimento: non c'è la minima cura in nessuna parte del locale e non è lontanamente paragonabile a tutti gli altri rifugi, malghe e posti di ristoro che voi potete trovare a Seceda e all'Alpe di Chiusi. A dispetto della vista meravigliosa il locale è veramente di ultima categoria. Non posso giudicare la qualità del cibo visto che con l'andazzo che c'era mi sono limitata a ordinare un semplice succo di frutta. Veramente una pessima sorpresa.

18/03/2025: te sofisticato, luce calda con musica moderna e accogliente. Drink davvero eccellente, il barista Arif ci ha suggerito un ottimo cocktail “Espresso Martini al pistacchio” che consigliamo assolutamente!
Il cibo anche esso davvero ottimo.

14/07/2025: Con mio marito abbiamo deciso di provare questo locale seguendo il consiglio di una signora che frequentandolo da anni ci ha decantato cucina e location.
Al primo tentativo non siamo stati fortunati: arrivati alle 20:10 ci è stato detto dal titolare che l’orario per la cena (18-20) era passato, quindi nonostante alcuni tavoli stessero in quel momento ricevendo i primi piatti, siamo usciti mestamente. Al secondo tentativo ci siamo presentatiti alle 18.45, assicurandoci così di poter aver un tavolo. Abbiamo cenato discretamente: canederli (anzi canederlo perché era uno, sebbene gigante) in brodo e insalata di crauti (cavolo cappuccio) gustosa ed abbondante. Dopo queste portate, ordinate entrambe all’inizio, il titolare che ci ha servito (peraltro unico in sala) non si è più premurato di noi. Per il dolce, dopo parecchia attesa, abbiamo dovuto richiamare la sua attenzione. Dolce comunque ottimo, lamponi freschi con gelato alla crema.
Finito il dolce stessa situazione di abbandono. Nel mentre si fanno le 20 e passano pure; abbondantemente. Si presenta un avventore palesemente senza prenotazione che incredibilmente ha molta più fortuna di noi! Viene fatto accomodare al tavolo e fornito di menu per scegliere la comanda. Ma come? Non era tassativo il limite delle ore 20?
Noi comunque continuiamo ad essere ignorati, così mio marito si reca al bancone del bar per ordinare due caffè.
Dopo 10-15 minuti di vana attesa perdiamo le speranze e decidiamo di alzarci per pagare il conto. Il titolare mette lì qualche scusa per essersi dimenticato i caffè. Nessun problema cose che succedono. Però ecco, l’impressione è stata quella di essere un fastidio, forse perché siamo risultati anticipatici al titolare o forse perché non siamo locali e comunque non parliamo tedesco come l’avventore ritardatario. Beh da genovese posso dire che in quanto a cattiva accoglienza abbiamo tanto da imparare…
07/02/2025: Siamo arrivati dopo le 14, ma ci hanno accolto con semplicità e cortesia . Menu semplice, piatti ben preparati, senza pretese.
