09/06/2025: We spent a week at the Seehotel Sparer on the large Montiggler Lake. Everything was to our satisfaction, and the service from the friendly staff was particularly remarkable. Dogs are welcome at the hotel, and many guests were there with their four-legged friends. Apart from a few minor issues, the stay was wonderful and definitely worth a second visit.

02/06/2025: A family-run hotel that caters to the individual needs of its guests. With the exception of one of the waiters (hence the four stars), everyone else was incredibly friendly and accommodating, so they were happy to overlook the one. There was a pleasant and family-friendly atmosphere. The hotel is very dog-friendly, which made it even more enjoyable for us and our dog. Particularly noteworthy is the very, very good food, which was very attentive to the fact that we are vegetarians and I am currently pregnant – one of the desserts was specially prepared for me in a non-alcoholic version without our asking! The location directly on the lake is beautiful. Despite the tourism industry, you get the feeling that great care is being taken with the beautiful surrounding nature. Whether it's coots, water lilies, frogs, and the like, nature is allowed to continue to exist alongside the holidaymakers here, which is very important to us personally.

08/07/2025: The food and service at Meraner are excellent. Special requests are accommodated, and the meat is of excellent quality. I've never ordered a steak medium-rare and had it cooked to perfection (from start to finish). Dogs are allowed.

08/07/2025: Super delicious food. The prices are also fair. The staff speaks perfect German. Unfortunately, everything seemed a bit rushed, but otherwise, a very good experience, even without a reservation.

20/06/2025: We stumbled upon Zum Falken in Girlan quite by chance – and were completely thrilled. The hospitality was exceptionally warm; you immediately feel welcome. The food was really good – fresh, regional, and made with love. Our children were also well looked after; overall, it was very child-friendly and relaxed. What was particularly nice was the quiet location and the pleasant, relaxed atmosphere. You can tell it's a family business – with a lot of personal commitment and attention to detail. The prices are absolutely fair. A definite recommendation!

06/06/2025: We received a very friendly welcome. The pizza selection was unique and very good, including the fact that you could choose the dough. And if you're a beer lover, there's a huge selection here. A great alternative to all the wine in the area. We highly recommend it.

06/07/2025: We were invited here to a friend's party, and it was truly fantastic. The food was excellent, and the service impeccable. I was treated to a gluten-free meal without any compromises. Although the restaurant is right on the street, the courtyard is a lovely place to sit. It was a perfect evening.

Unser Gasthof, im Süden Südtirols, ist sonnig und ruhig gelegen, abseits von Verkehr und Lärm." Südtiroler Küche. Park- und Wandergelegenheiten, großer Innen- und Außenbereich. Man macht etwas falsch, wenn man in der Gegend ist und nicht dort hingeht.

21/05/2025: The two of us stayed at the Schloss Hotel Korb from Sunday to Wednesday. The first impression was good, but the room was a bit dated. Upon entering, we could hear the toilet running, and the rain shower wasn't working. Otherwise, everything was clean and tidy. The common rooms are also overflowing with decorative items and are partly dusty and run-down. The hotel is definitely in need of renovation in many areas. The location is outstanding, and the view over Bolzano speaks for itself. A beautifully landscaped outdoor area with an infinity pool and sauna in front of the vineyards is inviting and impressive. The service is very inconsistent and dependent on the individual. From long wait times to inattentiveness and ignorance, we unfortunately had mostly negative experiences with the service. All in all, the stay was fine, but we wouldn't come back under these circumstances.

08/06/2025: The restaurant is a short 20-minute walk away. The location is stunning, right on the lake. This family-run business, with its restaurant and beach, exudes friendly service. Whether at the drinks counter, ordering food, or at the checkout for the lido – smiles and friendly words are everywhere. The food is homely, and for hikers and four-wheelers, there are salads, pasta dishes, and other Tyrolean specialties at very reasonable prices. The numerous local guests are testament to the good cuisine, the excellent location, and the pleasant surroundings. Pure relaxation is the order of the day at the lake, with its beautiful water, lovely bathing jetties, and well-maintained lawns. It's not overcrowded; renting a parasol for €3 and a lounger for €5 is perfect—especially since the equipment is very well maintained. Popping into the restaurant is no problem; everyone at the checkout immediately recognizes each other because you are noticed. The food arrives quickly, is freshly prepared, and the kitchen is open, so you can see how it's being prepared. Our salad was excellent, with many different varieties such as leaf lettuce, fresh carrots and celery, potatoes, etc., and it came with tuna and olives for 12 euros, a portion for both of us. Drink prices are great, not a tourist rip-off. If you're looking for a cool swim in nature (no beach music, by the way, just the sound of birdsong) and a good meal, you shouldn't go to Lake Kaltern. This is pure vacation.
