22/03/2026: I stopped in at this restaurant today for an expresso. It wasn't a bar/cafe so they don't serve drinks without a food order. The gentleman saw the disappointment on my face and said, "ok, I'll make you one". He made this Canadian's day. Such kindness was very much appreciated by this lass!
28/02/2026: February 2026: Best pizza in Volterra. Crowded with locals who grew up with pizza. Interesting menu with many, many different interesting pizzas (none with pinepple and/or french fries). Moderate prices, friendly service.

01/06/2026: I stayed at Villa Nencini in Volterra and had a truly pleasant experience. The relaxing atmosphere and panoramic location offer splendid views of the Tuscan landscape. The property is well-maintained and welcoming, with comfortable rooms and well-organized common areas.
The restaurant was a real surprise: traditional Tuscan dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, served with courtesy and attention to detail. The outdoor pool is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the city or the surrounding area.
I highly recommend Villa Nencini to anyone looking for a rejuvenating and authentic stay in Volterra.

My wife wanted to order hot tea, but this wasn’t on the menu. The waitress kindly ordered tea from another cafe and brought it over for us!
14/10/2025: Stopped by by chance... while visiting Volterra. Superb chickpea pizza. Excellent prices. Stop by, it's worth it.

01/06/2026: I ordered a first course and a second course from the full menu for €15, plus a glass of red wine, of which I could only choose between two. I didn't ask how much the glass cost. At the cashier, they charged me €9 for a Morellino, but I didn't see the label (and at this price, it's fair to show it). They told me I had to read the menu. So I asked to see it, but they refused, saying the new menu was being reprinted and it wasn't on the old one. Isn't this a scam?!

Non c'è rischio di contaminazione perché hanno solo coni senza glutine. 01/03/2025: Posto carino, vino buono, prezzi troppo alti per la quantità, potrebbero dare anche più di due olive, abbiamo fatto aperitivi ovunque ma scarsi come qui mai! Visto i prezzi che fanno.
Di vini siamo esperti e ci aspettavamo di più.

07/01/2025: Non credo di aver mai conosciuto una persona tanto preparata e appassionata come l’uomo che ci ha accolto . Ha i migliori vini , conosce le cantine e chi ci lavora. Ti consiglia un calice e ti prende la bottiglia per farti vedere l’etichetta . Puoi anche ordinare un tagliere.
Ci vivrei lì . Voto 10!!! Bravo

18/09/2024: Bar centralissimo, con prezzi onesti e musica di sottofondo inusuale (Slipknot, Rammstein...). Ottimo per una sosta al volo
15/09/2024: L'unica fortuna di questo locale è essere posizionato nella caratteristica piazza principale di Volterra, altrimenti sarebbe deserto. Chiediamo un aperitivo per 4 e ci portano 3 pezzetti di pizza! Neanche le basi della ristorazione. Prezzi esosi. Si dovrebbe chiamare Bar Spennagrulli, e ci diamo dei grulli da soli per non aver letto prima le recensioni negative, ma esserci fidati della location. Da evitare.

Mangiato bene (nella norma), posti a sedere sia interni che esterni (in esterno sono sulla strada per cui c'era il passaggio di auto).
Menù toscano, personale cordiale (costo minimo a persona circa 25 euro).
Si può arrivare tranquillamente verso le 19:30 / 20:00 e si trova posto.
