L'Otto Pizzorante In Volterra

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I recommend it. I'll be back.

The ambiance itself, like all the restaurants I've tried in Volterra so far, is very pleasant and well-suited to table service. The staff is quick and polite, but that doesn't mean the real pizza isn't something else entirely; a pizzeria by the slice rarely offers even excellent round pizzas. All in all, the crust is passable, but the ingredients need to be top-quality, and I'd recommend rethinking this a bit (the radicchio was almost inedible). I'm giving it 3 stars to encourage them to do better and because the pizza is also quite affordable, considering the location's central location in Volterra (wonderful).

We stopped for a snack with a slice of pizza... I have to say it was really good.

My girlfriend and I stopped for a snack and ordered a slice of Margherita and a slice of chickpea cake: the latter was truly excellent. The pizza was good, too. A simple but pleasant place, perfect for a quick bite. All in all, a good choice!

I honestly don't understand the bad reviews. Last Saturday I went here for pizza with four other people. They served both the chickpea pie and the pizza very quickly, and the pizza was really good! Thin and crispy with just the right amount of toppings. Maybe a little greasy, but that's okay every now and then. 😋
