08/01/2026: Holiday lunch, a very nice and welcoming place, super friendly staff, and good, local food. We shared three courses (a cured meats and cheese appetizer, testaroli, and lamb), which arrived pre-cut, with two glasses of wine for about €30 per person.
Highly recommended.
07/01/2026: Appetizer, bottle of Lunigiano wine, two first courses, and two desserts.
Excellent value.
Worth a stop, even for the rushed traveler.

17/08/2025: The atmosphere is simple, the welcome is warm and friendly. The cuisine is clearly home-cooked, with generous and delicious dishes. The service is attentive to customer requests, and the commitment to speed is evident, but we know that there can be waits in any restaurant. The route certainly requires some attention, but just ask the staff for suggestions and try other routes. The price was well in line with expectations, considering the dishes ordered and the portions. For my part, today's lunch was truly enjoyable.

10/03/2026: Nice place but TOO expensive. There's only a set menu (usually 3 first courses and 2-3 second courses) announced verbally. If you're not paying attention or can't hear well, it's your problem. For 2 menus (a first course plus a second course x2) you'll pay around €70-100. Sometimes the food is good, other times it's not. 🤷 In other places you won't spend more than €40... For me, that's a big NO, even if the place is really nice.

And it was delicious! She not only made an effort with the food, but also showed genuine interest and shared a bit of her life story. We will definitely be back.

28/02/2026: A quaint place, very clean, but the table service was cold and aloof. I'm gluten intolerant and forgot to mention it when I booked. It's my fault for not mentioning it, but a little help from the waitress or hostess would have been appreciated. It's a shame; the public needs a little more kindness.

Service took a while, but that was simply because the owner was alone serving. It may have been a coincidence, but she was still super kind and helpful.
The atmosphere is quaint, clean, and they make you feel right at home...
I absolutely recommend it.

16/10/2025: Surreal experience.
We had reservations for four, and five of us showed up.
An elderly waiter (who I assume was the manager) started yelling and gesticulating inappropriately, saying we couldn't stay.
Note that the room was half empty.
Let's be clear: it's a legitimate decision that I can understand, even though I've never seen a restaurant owner turn down a group because of one more person, but the manner and rudeness made the whole thing truly surreal.
For a second, we hesitated whether to slap the manager or contact the health service for compulsory medical treatment.
12/10/2025: Booked for 4, 5 arrived, asked if it was a problem, they said we had to squeeze in, they said ok, went back to sit down, the owner sent us away with a very rude gesture in front of all the customers, unspeakable behavior, I will never go there again

08/07/2025: Uno dei ricordi più presenti di quando ero bimbo era il viaggio per Marina di Carrara, dove andai al mare fino ai miei 20 anni. Nei primi anni, l'autostrada ancora non esisteva e si faceva la statale della Cisa, per un certo periodo facendone un pezzo in treno, dove si caricava l'auto.
Questi ricordi fanno sì che, anche ora che a Marina di Carrara non ci vado più da 40 anni circa, mi sia rimasto affetto per la Statale e, quando ho un po' di tempo, mi piace l'asciare l'autostrada fra Pontremoli e Fornovo, qualche volta estendendo fino ad Aulla e a Parma Ovest.
In un viaggio di ritorno da Pontremoli, mi sono fermato a pranzo in questo simpatico ristorante. Innanzitutto, è bello che il cellulare non prende, per cui si mangia davvero tranquilli. Poi, ha un'aria di ristorante familiare che mi dà sempre un certo piacere. La cucina è buona, casereccia e semplice, ma saporita e il conto non è pesante. Credo che ci ricapiterò.
08/06/2025: Alla ricerca di cibo mi fermo e chiedo se possiamo pranzare, ci sediamo e mangiamo antipasto misto e degli ottimi secondi, il cervo 🦌 molto buono.
Servizio celere e simpatico, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.

Perfetta l'indicazione per l'abbinamento con un vino della Valle del Magra.
Al Caveau del Teatro si conferma sempre la qualità.
20/04/2025: A Pontremoli ho scoperto un ristorante che è molto più di una semplice tappa culinaria: è un’esperienza autentica fatta di sapori veri e accoglienza sincera. Lo chef Amedeo ha saputo raccontare il territorio attraverso piatti curati e ricchi di passione, mentre Fernanda ci ha accolti con calore, facendoci sentire subito a casa. Un posto che lascia il segno, nel cuore e nel palato.
Consiglio spassionato: provate i testaroli, sono i migliori della Lunigiana!

18/08/2023: Il pranzo si doveva fermare agli antipasti di salumi, torte comprate e riscaldate, frittelle gommose, primi scadenti, secondi di carne per allenare la mandibola a mangiare sassi , patate indefinibili. Che dire la cameriera e/ o padrona :scortese è un complimento !
