26/09/2025: We went here because the restaurant we had initially chosen was unfortunately closed that day. So it wasn't our first choice. Unfortunately, we were still disappointed. The price-performance ratio didn't match up for me. The dishes we ordered lacked refinement. Everything was fine from a technical perspective, but the dishes were simply bland, and the portions were, in my opinion, inadequate. The service wasn't particularly attentive, in my opinion. Apart from the manager, no one really paid attention to whether we were ready to order. I really don't understand the very good rating, and I don't think we just had a "bad day."

14/09/2025: Very good food, high-quality fish, and very well cooked. Service wasn't 100% complete. Little attention was paid to the diners. Overall, it was an excellent value-for-money dinner.

14/09/2025: The strong point of this place is definitely the atmosphere, which is very unique and characteristic. Furthermore, the staff is entirely made up of young, smiling, and friendly people, and we were very satisfied with this! As for the food, it's not bad at all; the only thing is, for the price we paid, we expected a little more. The spaghetti with tuna and pistachio pesto had a faint pistachio flavor, but the fried food was nothing to write home about! (The only flaw is that they don't serve fries on the side.) As for the crumble cake, we think it's a bit excessive to pay €7 for a slice. Overall, a positive experience, but we expected a little more!

28/09/2025: The Calafata restaurant is located directly on the Porto Azzurro harbor. It has an indoor dining area and an outdoor area overlooking the harbor. There were two of us, and we ordered a tuna tartare appetizer that was simply perfect: the cut of meat, the seasonings were excellent, and the meat was of the highest quality. We then ordered a plate of textbook spaghetti with clams, and the sea bream and baked potatoes were excellent. The restaurant's value for money is excellent: fresh, tasty fish at a reasonable price. Unfortunately, the service was a bit below expectations for the location and the menu. We waited a while for our spaghetti with clams, and the waiters were rushed. Regardless, this is a restaurant I would recommend, especially for a dinner with friends or as a couple.

24/08/2025: Five stars for a wonderful evening spent in this stunning place. Located in the center of Porto Azzurro, this wine shop offers typical Elban products, local and international wines, and a delightful aperitivo where you can enjoy, of course, a fine wine chosen in-store or recommended by the owners, platters of traditional cured meats and cheeses, a variety of bruschettone, and, to finish, a delicious Elban passito. A delightful evening and good wine.

23/09/2025: Top-notch Italian dishes. Pasta is fantastic, and they also have premium pizza—but go for the fish dishes instead. They serve incredibly fast by German standards, so take your time with your meal. Local Italians come and go here. 😅

17/07/2025: Dopo tanto tempo sono finalmente riuscita a cenare con un'amica al Magnetico!Ottimo ogni piatto, ampia scelta, sapori e colori delle pietanze ben equilibrati e freschi..mi è piaciuto davvero tanto..Da sottolineare anche il sorriso e la gentilezza del personale, aspetti ormai non scontati di questi tempi!Ci tornerò!

25/08/2025: Every time we come to Elba, we make sure to visit this restaurant 🍴 The daily specials are always exciting, with flavors so well combined that you want to try everything. The chef truly knows how to surprise! 🤩 Whatever we choose, the perfect ending to our dinner is always the chocolate dessert - if you’re a chocolate lover, it’s a must-try! 😋 The staff deserves a special mention for creating such a warm atmosphere and for their spot-on recommendations. Can’t wait to come back! 😍

07/09/2025: A small, indoor restaurant (hence the name Sottoscala) in Porto Azzurro, family-run. Service is prompt and the staff are attentive. We ordered a generous fish soup for two, excellent quality and fresh catch. I hadn't had a soup like this in a while. Highly recommended.

22/07/2025: Situato a Porto Azzurro, questo locale è stata una piacevole sorpresa. Il personale è cordiale e estremamente competente, sempre pronto a spiegare ogni dettaglio del menù e delle preparazioni. Il cibo è fresco e di ottima qualità, con un’attenzione particolare alla presentazione. La selezione di caffè è molto variegata. Sebbene non abbiamo provato i crudi, sembra essere una scelta consigliata. Un piccolo suggerimento sarebbe quello di migliorare la carta dei vini, che, pur offrendo un’ampia gamma di bollicine, potrebbe beneficiare di una selezione più ricca di vini bianchi.

19/07/2025: Abbiamo prenotato senza conoscere nulla del locale e siamo rimasti colpiti finalmente sia della qualità che della professionalità . Menù variegato con buona scelta sia di pietanze che di bevande. Prodotti di primissima qualità, ben elaborati e ben presentati. Personale professionale e preparato . Siamo stati ben accolti e coccolati durante tutta la serata. Ambiente accogliente . Giusto rapporto qualità/ prezzo. Più che consigliato.
