15/09/2025: Casa Sordi has become a must-see on our Elba holiday. The dishes are true works of art, for their flavor, originality, and the care the chef devotes to each one. And what more can we say about the owners... wonderful people who put their heart and soul into what they do... and the results are amazing. We'll be back again on Saturday to try more delicacies. Thanks guys!!!!

14/09/2025: The chef's interpretation was a wonderful experience and a wonderful surprise. The waiters' service was very good, and the farewell greeting from the kitchen was unusual. I should note that the two pasta dishes with fish were a touch spicy (but of excellent quality), but it's good to know.

10/08/2025: Siamo tornati per la quarta volta dopo esperienze positive. Oggi, molto delusa, porzioni misere e lunga attesa. Era tappa fissa nelle nostre vacanze, probabilmente non lo sarà più.

08/08/2025: Sebbene il ristorante serva ottime pietanze saporite (anche troppo), mangiare mentre decine di persone in attesa di tavolo, ti scrutano curiosi, parlando ad alta voce a pochi centimetri dal tuo… non e’ stato simpatico, capisco il periodo (agosto) ma e’ stata davvero un invasione alla mia privacy, meglio venire in bassa stagione.

30/08/2025: Very good pastry shop. Excellent quality. Good selection of treats and breads. A bit out of the way but easily accessible by bike from Marina de Compo. Plenty of parking is available. Although almost everyone tries to park in the courtyard, it makes more sense to park opposite the courtyard entrance (beware of the steep dirt driveway) or at the town entrance (20 meters away). You may have to wait in line, but they work quickly. When returning trays, please make sure that napkins, etc., are first thrown into the trash next to the exit.

Nice one in the center of Marina Di Campo, shame about the drink, for which the girl spent more time stirring the ice to dilute the infinitely nonexistent quantities of alcohol than the time she spent thinking about picking up the jiggers from the ground... go 200 meters further and you'll be better off ❤️

13/07/2025: Everything was exceptional! The tuna with foie gras was incredible. I have to admit, Il Moro has really raised the bar: after this experience, it'll be hard not to compare it to other restaurants. I think I'll avoid going out for dinner for a while.

26/08/2025: Excellent campsite with good quality pitches, suitable for both families and children, the campsite is well organised with a beautiful swimming pool, car park, restaurant, bar, bathroom service, very clean showers, the owner is very kind and helpful, there is also an entertainment service managed by the head of entertainment Beppe, a professional and very kind person towards the public, his staff is made up of Kevin, Greta, Vincenzo, Chiara, Maddalena and Umberto..

24/08/2025: We stayed in our tent inside the Ville degli Ulivi campsite, our feedback is VERY positive, excellent location, excellent services and cleanliness. The campsite has all the potential of a 4-star, with a two-level swimming pool including a slide and entertainment, a restaurant and mini market. Directly on the beautiful beach of Marina di Campo 😁👍 Two notes that I hope will be appreciated to improve the quality of services (already high) - add water taps in more points of the campsite and better manage the tennis court (for a fee) and five-a-side football (consider adding an extra court leaving the 2 activities separate) Overall everything is TOP RATING 9 keep it up 👏

20/08/2025: Returning this August 2025, after four years, I saw the portions halved, with truly exorbitant prices for pinsa samples. Everything is good, but it's impossible to fill up. The selection of wines and sparkling wines remains excellent, even if there's a lack of reasonably priced options. In short, everything is expensive, but it's definitely an interesting stop for an aperitif with appetizers. It's not suitable for dinner, unless you want to spend €30 for a number of slices comparable to a classic round pizzeria pizza. Four years ago I wrote: Excellent pinsa by the slice. Crumbly dough and recipes with tasty ingredient combinations. Eat in or take out. There's a wine shop attached, but if you don't ask, it goes unnoticed.

17/08/2025: A very beautiful place with attention to detail. You can go for an aperitif or a dinner featuring excellent pizza and pinsa. The staff are friendly and professional. The only drawback is that it's not close to home.

27/08/2025: A regular stop every year, for several years. A fixed menu based on the catch, service at fixed times for everyone, under a beautiful pergola featuring different grape varieties. Paola and her family are, as always, kind and welcoming, serving simple but well-prepared dishes. Always available and attentive to children's needs. Highly recommended.

05/09/2025: Hotel La Conchiglia is a wonderful, welcoming place right on the seafront. Manuela is a special person: friendly, thoughtful, and always attentive, with that naturalness that makes you feel instantly at ease. Cinzia, with her sweetness and constant smile, adds warmth and makes every moment even more enjoyable. Together with the entire staff, always kind and friendly, they truly touch the hearts of their guests and make them feel at home. The best part is breakfast, simply wonderful: homemade cakes, pizzas, focaccias, and brioches so delicious you'll want to try them all, accompanied by coffee, cappuccino, or hot milk served at your table. The tables overlook the beach, and there's also a seafront terrace, perfect for reading a good book or relaxing. Our dog was also welcomed with affection, and we spent a truly relaxing week.

11/09/2025: A wonderful hotel. Lovingly run with incredibly friendly and accommodating staff, even in the off-season. We stayed 8 days with half board and thoroughly enjoyed it. Located directly on the sea, this is very rare on Elba. We highly recommend the hotel and would like to thank the staff for this wonderful stay.

03/09/2025: Beautiful location, excellent rooms for 2 people, but a little small for 3. Visit the sea opposite the islands of Montecristo and Pianosa.

25/08/2025: The three of us had dinner on the evening of Thursday, August 21st (it was stormy outside). A lovely, intimate restaurant in the lower part of Portoferraio (right by the port) with well-appointed decor. We ordered different dishes, and the meat in all of them was top-quality (I specifically ordered the Sienese beef asado, and I dare say it's the best meat I've ever eaten), and the food was beautifully presented. Excellent service, with very friendly waiters and owners. I mentioned that I'm celiac, and they even brought me gluten-free bread separately (I appreciated that it was still sealed). The restaurant was quite busy, so I recommend booking in advance, as we did. The quality/price ratio was more than fair. The owner was very kind and, given the weather, suggested we wait for a slight rain shower to stop before going to the car (it was almost midnight, everyone was leaving and they were closing up shop). She also advised us on the best route back to the hotel without passing through the lower part of Portoferraio, which floods easily (these were the days of the orange alert, and just the days before, there had been several floods and closures). The only thing I'd like to point out: they have a beautiful dog inside the restaurant who stays tied up near the kitchen and is very calm and sociable (except that night when it thundered, she barked, and that's fine, poor thing). I don't know if it was just for that night or not. I'm mentioning it anyway, because someone might be afraid of her, but just ask to be in the other room.

23/08/2025: Truly excellent charcuterie platter, with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The meat was a pleasant surprise: tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff were friendly. I really don't understand the negative reviews; I had a great time and will definitely be back!
