03/07/2024: My partner and I had an amazing experience at this place. We stumbled upon it, looked intrigued as the decor was amazing and the waiters very friendly. We started off with a few glasses of wine, and the son of the owners Alberto was extremely knowledgeable and friendly with his service. Afterwards we went to the wine shop at the back with him and he talked to us about all the wines, both cheap and expensive, and it was just overall a fun time. It is these types of commerces that may sometimes slip under the radar when in fact it should be the ones that stand out. You can’t beat the authenticity and passion of the owners. I highly highly recommend visiting this place and purchasing some wine. Their wine shop is very intimate and they only buy it though direct connections with the winery that the grandfather set up in the 60s, another great sign that they have this relationship with the producers. Visiting from Australia, this type of place is exactly what’s missing over there so we were so happy to have found it.

30/06/2024: Enoteca in centro a Orbetello. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Ottimi prodotti locali. Disponibilità di acquisto all'interno del locale di prodotti tipici. Per cena abbiamo preso un tagliere (possibilità di scelta tra salumi e formaggi diversi) e una focaccia ripiena di stracchino con salsiccia e cime di rapa. Prezzi nella norma.

27/07/2024: Ottimo il cibo, il servizio e anche l'ambiente. Ottimo il risotto, non facile da trovare nelle proposte di altri ristoranti della zona. Da ritornarci sicuramente.

19/06/2024: Anche questo anno siamo tornati in maremma e a cena al Cavalluccio Marino. Abbiamo preso il menù, tre antipasti mousse, le seppie in umido con patate che si sciolgono in bocca, il polpo in insalata buonissimo, e buonissimo anche l'abbondante olio di oliva. Ravioli delicati, tagliolini calamari e gamberi deliziosi. Non ce la facevamo proprio più ma ci siamo sforzati per gustare anche le mazzancolle in guazzetto. Fare due chiacchiere con i proprietari è sempre un piacere. Mi dispiace solo di non poter venire più spesso. ..

25/08/2024: We enjoyed eating here every year on vacation. Unfortunately I have to say that the price-performance ratio was not right this year. I've never seen so many empty shells on one plate. Unfortunately I can't recommend it for the price.

16/08/2024: Poorly maintained place, broken and dirty bathroom, food not suitable for a restaurant. Chewy mixed fried food. Ok mussels. Maybe just an unlucky day.

30/08/2024: Sono stato in questo ristorante l'ultima sera della nostra vacanza con mia moglie e una coppia di amici. Il ristorante molto carino con personale cordiale serve cucina di pesce. Abbiamo scelto 2 spaghetti alle vongole e 2 spaghetti carbonara con bottarga . Come secondo 2 fritture con verdure e 2 tonni in crosta di pane . Tutto ottimo compreso il vino Un vermentino della maremma . Ne sono uscito soddisfatto anche del conto.

02/08/2024: Bellissimo angolo tranquillo lontano dalla confusione del corso principale in un'atmosfera davvero deliziosa. Piatti ottimi e molto curati come il primo con polpo, vongole e pomodori secchi. Squisita la frittura di pesce. Prezzo non economico ma onesto.

22/08/2024: DON'T RECOMMEND. I am very disappointed with this restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant was good but the taste of the plates is boring, and i have to say that the service was horrible. I went there with my family, we were 4, including a child. First, the waitress explained that the appetiser on the child menu has prosciutto cotto and cheese. After 15 minutes, the child received an appetiser, but there was no cheese, no prosciutto cotto. Waitress admitted the mistake by saying she would be back right away but didn't come back for a long time, and we need to remind another waitress that the child is left without an appetiser. After the appetiser, we need to wait 20 minutes until we get 1st plate. After we finished 1st plate, we waited for 2nd plate, but after 30 minutes, we had to remind them that we were still waiting for the fish we ordered. The last, they also charged water, which we didn't consume. At that point, we didn't even argue for a few euro, but we just left. But seriously, there was nothing to make us bring there back. And if you are planning to go there, I STRONGLY SUGGEST GOING OTHER RESTAURANT. We paid 150euro for this lesson. Last but not least, tables were only outside. And during dinner we had many kinds of bugs. Many times, it landed on our plates.... There was also frog jumping between tables..... I like to eat outside during summer, but I don't want to eat bugs, and I think restaurants should control a bit more about this issue since it's about hygiene as well.

08/08/2024: Gestori e camerieri con prosciutti nelle orecchie e bende negli occhi. Non ci tornerò mai più esperienza pessima pessima. Cucina non è al livello di quello che è stato pagato. Passo e chiudo!

03/08/2024: Ho prenotato per due persone con poco anticipo scegliendo la formula della mezza pensione. Hotel molto spazioso, con ampie sale dedicate a colazioni e pasti principali con bar annesso. All'esterno ampio giardino, tettoia con posti auto coperti, piscina con lettini fruibile gratuitamente. Camere con finiture ed arredamenti molto spartani ed un po' vetusti, ma comunque ordinate e pulite. Colazione self service molto variegata ed abbondante. Pasti inclusi di buona qualità e con discreto margine di scelta tra le portate. Situato lungo la superstrada ma comunque abbastanza comodo per tutte le destinazioni limitrofe. Personale cortese e disponibile. Buon compromesso tra qualità e prezzo.

29/07/2024: Partiamo dal contesto, cercavamo con la mia compagna un posto dove mangiare in tranquillità con nostra figlia. Abbiamo visto sul sito web che il posto offriva un'area giochi e un menu bambini, quindi per noi era perfetto avendo una bimba piccola, purtroppo non è stato così, chiamo per prenotare un posto e mi sento rispondere da una persona abbastanza scocciata che ovviamente c'era posto per pranzo, ancora più scocciata quando gli ho chiesto a che ora iniziavano il servizio. Arrivati sul posto non gli risultava nemmeno la nostra prenotazione, non era disponibile il menù bimbi e non c'era nemmeno l'area giochi....ci trovano un posto per sederci e prendono la commessa. Dopo 35 min arrivano i ravioloni, crudi, nel mentre dopo altri 30 minuti arriva la grigliata mista, ovviamente dopo aver chiesto a cameriere dove fosse finita, fredda...la cosa imbarazzante era la quantità per 20 euro...mezza salsiccia, 4 pezzetti di tagliata e 4 pezzetti di fettina...per aver mangiato male e serviti peggio abbiamo pagato 69 euro....lo sconsiglio vivamente....

13/07/2024: Wir waren während unsere Ferien in der Toscana in diesem Restaurant und es war fantastisch! Richtig italienischer Styl, sehr zuvorkommendes Personal und wunderbarem Essen! Die besten Spaghetti Vongole überhaupt👍👍 Wir haben nach dem ersten Besuch gleich wieder reserviert! Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen!!

30/08/2024: It is a bar out of the ordinary where you can have aperitifs with cocktails that are amazing. I advise against taking a glass of Franciacorta because it is of low quality while the goodness of the cocktails makes me give it five stars. And then the service is five stars, they are really attentive to the customer.

26/08/2024: Great bar for evening cocktails. Environment with music and very pleasant. Prices are low: 25 euros for three cocktails with some appetizers. Wide choice and digital menu. Too bad the staff isn't that knowledgeable, when I asked for a johnny walker he told me he didn't know what it was. Then by getting up and pointing to the bottle at the bar, the waiter understood.

04/08/2024: Chef Gianni welcomed us with an entree of raw ham and melon Bavarian cream. Then he recommended mixed seafood appetizers: prawns, smoked swordfish carpaccio with Tuscan tobacco, milk sandwich made by them with local tomato, mascarpone and sardines, sautéed courgettes with herring and gnocchi with lupins and bottarga... all exceptional. I highly recommend it

24/06/2024: Out of two booking attempts, within a week I received no twice. It's probably a nice place and the food is good... but when can you go there? It says open here (7pm on any Monday) I'll get over it

14/08/2024: Walking through the streets of Orbetello with friends, we come across the Taverna. The customer, in front of the pizzeria already crowded with customers, invites us to sit down. Considering the time, we decide to accept, not without some hesitation. The table is prepared for us outside and we begin the wait. Let me start by saying that we had to call the waiter several times to finish setting the table and at least bring us a drink, considering the temperature of 30 degrees. The owner was running back and forth, setting up more tables and I don't know what else, with his shirt soaked in sweat up to his waist. After an hour of waiting, seeing that all the tables around us were being served first, we decide to ask for explanations: they had lost the order!! Once everything was recovered, after an hour and a quarter, they brought the first pizza (it was 10.30pm) without some ingredients. The dish is slammed on the table rudely, making us uncomfortable. To the customer's complaints, who would have liked to be informed, to have the opportunity to choose something else, the owner, who was serving us, justifies himself by saying "at the end of the evening some ingredients are missing, this evening it's like this if you like, otherwise go away..." we all get up promptly. We are people who have great respect for those who work, but this rude and aggressive behavior was unacceptable and has no excuse, especially from a restaurateur towards a customer. However, I recommend taking a tour of the internal rooms and the bathroom, where dirt reigns...
