25/08/2024: Amazing food, really delicious, but be prepared to wait for a while. Nice list of appetizers (we ordered fig and chees in puff pastry), main courses were the octopus and guancia. Perfect, delicious. However it took a long time to be served the main dishes.

24/07/2024: Fabrizio and his mother, as well as the whole family, offer a warm and very friendly welcome. They are truly dedicated to the quality of your stay. The place is beautiful, very quiet and the rooms are spacious. The place is accessible by train and bus. Even when the restaurant is closed, options are within walking distance. I recommend without reservation!

09/07/2024: Gastronomy with large park next door where you can eat and have large meals with friends, surrounded by greenery and numerous games for children (we also found free entertainment included). There is no table service, but you have to order at the counter, despite the long queue at the weekend they are very fast, the pizza is good, the appetizers and fried foods are not very fresh... medium-low prices

02/07/2024: I stayed at this beautiful hotel in the hill near Fiesole. What made the stay wonderful was the staff who were friendly professional and doing all they could to ensure our needs were met. Special thanks to Enzo who looked after me many times in the restaurant and was ever so attentive providing great service and a friendly smile at the beginning of each day at breakfast. I would highly recommend a stay at Villa Fiesole.

We noticed a lot of carelessness in the cleanliness of the place, fluttering leaves, badly cleaned external walls, the staff is not trained and not very attentive, we ordered a glass of Bolgheri RED wine for 10 euros and they served it frozen, obviously we pointed it out to them and twice the waiter guaranteed us a refund at the checkout but when it was time to pay it still appeared on the bill, the mushrooms were very salty and the cut was not up to the standard of the place and the price, the appetizers consisted of 3 tiny bruschettas but acceptable. Price too high and the bill was skipped for what they offer. The only thing that isn't out of place, but the only positive thing, is the view of Florence. We will never return.

01/09/2024: After I don't know how many years I returned to eat at the Le 4 Strada restaurant. Not a very ideal location with 35 degrees outside because it was very hot under the veranda (it will certainly be cooler in the evening), the service isn't great because both the waiters and the staff at the counter have nice long faces, to get a few smiles from the waiter and an exchange of words took a lot of effort! Coming to the quality of the food, all in all good quality, prices not too high!

21/07/2024: Excellent pastries, but the 10 out of 10 novelty is the Schiacciata! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, an incredible leavening! Absolutely worth the stop, one of the best I've ever tasted!

First of all, I ordered flowers to be placed on the table, and when I arrived there was nothing there, and I had already paid for it.
And I wanted them to bring a cake with writing on it, which they forgot
Ruining my surprise on a night that mattered to me
I suggest you not to choose there for your important days

All courses were spectacular and well presented. The wine selections were great as well.

14/08/2024: Having had an aperitif, without chips, because they were not requested, with the heat in Florence, we stopped at Pian del Mugnone, a cool place with air conditioning! A cool and thirst-quenching stop before returning to the humid heat that exists these days.
21/07/2024: Small pastry shop with delicious sweets and also typical Italian savory rolls.
Places indoors or outdoors (next to the street). Prices ok
We had an excellent breakfast here.

In any case, they brought us a menu asking us to order, only to come back to tell us that unfortunately all the pizzas were finished. They invited us to choose sandwiches from the counter: unfortunately the raw ham had a greenish color and didn't taste good. We asked for some snacks with the aperitif, and they told us that the snacks were also finished. Subsequently they said they had found some: once we finished our pretzels, we saw that at the bottom of the bowl there were crumbs and leftovers of chips, peanuts and other snacks, a sign that the bowls are not cleaned at all, not even dusted between one consumption and the next. other.
I'm sorry for these inconveniences, because the guys who serve at the table are really very kind.
Unfortunately the place is not clean and does not serve minimum quality food.

09/07/2024: Da ristoratore sono rimasto contento del servizio del Bistrot. Non è semplice mettere alla stessa tavola un celiaco, un vegano ed una intollerante al lattosio. Il cibo è preparato con cura anche se suggerirei di spingere un po’ più nei sapori, talvolta troppo delicati. Il locale è bellissimo ed i ragazzi di sala ed il proprietario, gentilissimi e professionali.
Il cibo si può sempre migliorare, con lavoro e studio, ma la gentilezza è un dono che ormai non si vede più nemmeno nella ristorazione.
Ottima carta dei vini con rincari onestissimi
Se ricapiterò a Fiesole ci tornerò di certo

27/07/2024: A week ago I arrived in Fiesole, well in advance of the B&B check-in; the heat doesn't allow us to stay outside, lunch time has passed... the bags, the tiredness of the journey, I shyly approach the tobacconist, aware that bivouacking there for 90 minutes to eat a stuffed focaccia + coffee is really very 'Genoese' !
Yet the welcome was as polite and helpful as with the -obvious- regulars: this is the Italy that I always hope to encounter when I travel, whether for work or on holiday; these are the little episodes that make you hope for the shreds of human empathy that here and there still resist.
20/05/2024: Small but very welcoming bar. The owner Riccardo and his collaborator are good and helpful. Very tasty sandwiches and better prices than others in the same area. For me it is an unmissable event.
